Nick News Brief: PAW Patrol and The Smurfs have each received nominations in the 2025 Bologna Licensing Awards!
The book 100 First Words with PAW Patrol (Papp International with Paramount) has been nominated for "Best Preschool Licensing Project";
Meanwhile, the Smurfs x Emporio Armani project (Peyo Company with the Smurfs brand), curated by Emporio Armani, has been nominated in the "Best Kids Fashion Project" and "Best Licensed Sustainable Project" categories.
The upcoming 2025 edition of the Bologna Licensing Awards will take place during the Bologna Licensing Trade Fair/Kids (BLTF/K) from 31 March to 3 April. Now in their eighth year, the awards are an integral part of the 18th Bologna Licensing Trade Fair/Kids (BLTF/K), which is held within the 62nd Bologna Children’s Book Fair (BCBF).
The Bologna Licensing Awards judging panel convened at Bologna’s Salaborsa library to select the finalists – Helena Mansell-Stopher (ceo and founder, Products of Change); Marina Narishkin (IP management and strategy expert, with over 20 years of experience); Karin Ebnet (journalist and editor, Toy Store); Michelle Perez Barruos (general manager, Feenix Studio); and Ian Hyder (ceo, Max Publishing).
The finalists’ products will be showcased throughout the fair at the BLTF/K Awards display area, located in the BLTF/K zone of the Bologna Children’s Book Fair, Hall 29 – Mall 2.
The winners will be announced on 31 March at the BLTF/K Awards Ceremony, held in the Licensing Conference Room (Hall 29 – Mall 2).
