Paul Brown has stepped down as series director of PAW Patrol, Nickelodeon's beloved preschool series produced by Spin Master Entertainment, after serving one year and 11 months in the role at Toronto-based Guru Studio.
Brown was appointed as series director of PAW Patrol in March 2023, taking the reigns from long-time director Charles E. Bastien, who sadly passed away earlier that year.
"I’m unbelievably proud to have been the Director of Paw Patrol for two years but the time has come to move on," Brown, who stepped down from the position in January, said in a post on LinkedIn.
"It’s been an emotional journey that has been inspirational, challenging, eye-opening and educational for me," added Brown. "I’m very excited to be moving on to something new and to continue working in the industry I love. To my awesome team: The sheer number of heart-warming messages I’ve received from you in the past couple weeks has been humbling and has meant more to me than you’ll ever know. Stay positive. Be proud of your work. Remember that the foundation of your job is to entertain kids & make them happy. Everything else is just noise."
Brown previously served as a director on Rusty Rivets, which was also animated by Guru Studio for Spin Master and Nickelodeon, and has also worked in various departments on shows such as Julius Jr., which aired on Nick Jr., Lucas the Spider, Angela Anaconda, Amphibia, and Johnny Test.
