Let’s Jump In! Hasbro To Host PEPPA PIG Dance Party Campaign with Amazon

Peppa’s Dance Party live events will take place in select locations across the U.S., U.K. and Germany

Pawtucket, RI. (July 29, 2024) – Hasbro, a leading toy and game company, in collaboration with Amazon, today announced Peppa’s Dance Party, a global campaign to celebrate PEPPA PIG’s 20^th anniversary and the Queen of Preschool’s new hit single – the Piggle Wiggle!

Encouraging confidence and igniting playfulness, Peppa’s Dance Party will deliver engaging in-person and virtual play experiences for preschoolers and their families across the globe. For a limited time starting this August, consumers can join live events hosted at Merlin Entertainments’ attractions PEPPA PIG World of Plays in Chicago, Dallas and Michigan and PEPPA PIG Parks in Florida, U.S. and Günzburg, Germany, along with PEPPA PIG attractions at Butlin’s Resorts in the U.K. Visit local websites for dates and times.

Peppa’s Dance Party in-person events will feature a live show encouraging kids and families to get up and get dancing to Peppa’s latest single – the Piggle Wiggle – available to listen on Amazon Music, as well as party games, interactive dress up activities and exclusive products. Fans can also expect appearances from their favourite PEPPA PIG characters!

Customers can access this exclusive content directly through the brand-new Alexa skill or by saying, “Alexa, open Peppa’s Dance Party.” A premium version of the new Peppa’s Dance Party Alexa Skill is available with the Amazon Kids+ subscription unlocking fun musical party games with Peppa.

Nickelodeon to Premiere 'Knuckles' on August 12

This August, Nickelodeon is becoming Knuckleodeon! Catch the brand new Paramount+ Original event series, Knuckles, premiering Monday, August 12, on Nickelodeon!

Set in the “Cinematic World of Sonic the Hedgehog,” from Paramount Pictures and SEGA of America, Knuckles is a new live-action six-episode event series that follows Knuckles (Idris Elba) on a hilarious and action-packed journey of self-discovery as he agrees to train Wade (Adam Pally) as his protégé and teach him the ways of the Echidna warrior. The series takes place between the films Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and Sonic the Hedgehog 3.

In addition to Elba starring as the titular character, Adam Pally reprises his role from the film franchise as Wade Whipple. The ensemble cast includes guest stars Stockard Channing (The West Wing), Edi Patterson (The Righteous Gemstones), Scott Mescudi (Don’t Look Up), Ellie Taylor (Ted Lasso, The Mash Report), Julian Barratt (Mindhorn), Rory McCann (Game of Thrones), Cary Elwes (Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning), Christopher Lloyd (Back to the Future), Paul Scheer (Black Monday), and Rob Huebel (Childrens Hospital). Special guest star Ben Schwartz will reprise his role as Sonic, as well as special guest star Tika Sumpter, reprising her role as Maddie. Colleen O’Shaughnessey will also return as a special guest star in her role as Tails.

All of the key creative team from the previous films have returned for the series, including the films’ director/executive producer Jeff Fowler, who directed the pilot episode and helped transition the film's signature cinematic animation style to television, as well as Neal H. Moritz, Toby Ascher, John Whittington and Toru Nakahara, who serve as executive producers along with Idris Elba. Additional directors for the series include Ged Wright, Brandon Trost, Jorma Taccone and Carol Banker.

The series was created for television by John Whittington and Toby Ascher, who is showrunning during production. Whittington, who wrote Sonic the Hedgehog 2, serves as head writer and wrote the pilot for the series. Additional series writers include Brian Schacter and James Madejski.

Knuckles originally debuted on Paramount+ on April 26, where it smashed numerous records over its premiere weekend, including setting a new global record as the most-watched Paramount+ original series of all time with more than 4M hours streamed over premiere weekend. In addition to its overall record, the series marks as one of Paramount+’s most-watched kids-and-family title ever. The series launch also had a halo effect on other Sonic the Hedgehog titles on the service, with viewership up more than 278 percent globally over the daily average.

The combined global box office for Sonic the Hedgehog and Sonic the Hedgehog 2 stands at $725.2 million. On Paramount+, Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is the top-performing Kids & Family film on the service in reach and is also one of the service’s most re-watched films. Sonic the Hedgehog 3 will be released in theaters on Dec 20th, 2024.

BURBANK, Calif.–Aug. 1, 2024–Preschoolers will get ready to wreck and roll with Rubble and his crew, as Nickelodeon bulldozes the entire month of August with all-new episodes of Spin Master’s hit PAW Patrol spinoff. Kicking off Monday, Aug. 5, the paw-some month of Rubble & Crew premieres includes: an epic PAW Patrol crossover event; a special episode featuring MLB superstar Aaron Judge; and brand-new episodes from seasons two and three, Monday through Thursday at 11 a.m. (ET/PT) on Nickelodeon and 5 p.m. (ET/PT) on the Nick Jr. channel.

In the crossover event, “The Crew and Skye Build a Mountain Lodge,” premiering Monday, Aug. 5, PAW Patrol’s high-flying air rescue pup, Skye, visits Rubble and his crew from Adventure Bay when their construction project needs some aerial support. When the mischievous Speed Meister tries to beat the pups to finish the job, Skye, Rubble and the rest of the crew must jump into action to save the day.

Later in the month, former American League MVP and Captain of the New York Yankees, Aaron Judge, will make a guest appearance as himself in Rubble & Crew “The Crew Builds a Ballpark,” premiering Monday, Aug. 26. Judge’s real-life pet dachshunds Penny and Gus are also featured in the episode, with Judge’s wife, Samantha Judge, as the guest voice of Penny. The episode follows Rubble who must come up with a plan to help Judge, his favorite baseball superstar, when he can’t get out of town to participate in the home run derby. Rubble and his crew must bring their can-do attitude and creative problem-solving to the field to build a stadium right in Builder Cove to host the derby.

Preschoolers and families can catch up on Rubble & Crew’s pup-tastic construction builds as season one of the series launches Wednesday, Sept. 4, on Paramount+. Already the streaming home to PAW Patrol, Paramount+ currently features 229 episodes across seasons one through nine of the top-rated series, and even more in the PAW Patrol PAWsome collection.

Jorge R. Gutierrez Shares Development Art Once-Planned 'El Tigre' Movie

El Tigre creator Jorge R. Gutierrez reveals his interest in a potential revival series or movie!

El Tigre: The Adventures of Manny Rivera was one of the major standout animated series releases with Nickelodeon back in the 2000s, and the creator behind it all revealed he would love to come back with a new revival project some day! El Tigre has been in the midst of a small comeback as the Nickelodeon animated series not only has finally been made available to stream with Paramount+ (which means that fans will be able to check out the series for the first time, if they never have seen it before), but its star character also made his fighting game debut, and the series is now the subject of a all-new art book.

With El Tigre: The Adventures of Manny Rivera's titular Manny Rivera now a playable character in Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2, and the series now streaming, with a new book coming out later this year, it seems like it's the perfect time for the franchise to come back as a whole. Series creator Jorge R. Gutierrez was recently asked about this and revealed that he would "absolutely love" to come back for a revival project with ideas for both a potential feature film and new series. 

Will El Tigre Ever Come Back?

Speaking with The Cartoon Base, El Tigre: The Adventures of Manny Rivera creator Jorge R. Gutierrez said that not only was he interested in coming back for a revival but actually almost did a movie when he initially started working with Netflix before it fell through, "I would absolutely LOVE to do this. When I first came to Netflix we almost did a movie but the deal didn't work out at the time. I have a big idea for a feature and then a new series. Hopefully I get to do this one day."

El Tigre: The Adventures of Manny Rivera wrapped up its run several years ago, but it seems like the creator still has plenty of ideas of where to take Manny's adventures next. Set in the Mexican culture inspired Miracle City, the titular El Tigre is the name of the young hero, Manny Rivera, who fights crime. His father, the famous superhero White Pantera, and his grandfather, the famous villain Puma Loco, are both trying to influence the young Manny to use his powers for either good or evil. Together with his best friend Frida Suarez, Manny then takes on all sorts of powerful foes as he battles with his own ideals.

Jorge recently revealed some spectacular early visual development art for the El Tigre movie pitch on his official X/Twitter page! The art features features Manny Rivera as El Tigre and his best friend, Frida Suarez.

Jorge added in a follow up post: "the Tigre movie almost happened when I was exclusive to Netflix back in 2018. At the time Nickelodeon was all for it but Netflix Animation wanted me to focus on the Maya limited series and Space Punch (which was 2 movies at the time)".
