Pluto TV UK Adds 'Avatar: The Last Airbender' and 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' Channels

Pluto TV Adds More NBCU FAST Channels in the U.S.

NBCUniversal has announced new FAST content offerings featuring entertainment, news, sports and true crime programming from its television and streaming portfolio and the NBCU Global TV Distribution library is launching on Pluto TV in the U.S.

Beginning immediately and rolling out through the month will be past seasons of popular reality series including The Real Housewives and Top Chef, available to stream as dedicated FAST (free, ad-supported streaming television) channels. Sports fans will have access to GolfPass and NBC Sports, while true-crime fans can stream channels featuring series including American Greed and Lockup. Pluto TV viewers will also have access to dedicated FAST channels featuring celebrated library series including Little House on the Prairie, The Lone Ranger and Murder, She Wrote, as well as films on Universal Monsters, and genre-based action and crime content.

NBC and Telemundo local FAST channels will also launch on Pluto TV later this year.

Pluto TV’s Super Bowl commercial will premiere during the Super Bowl LVIII telecast on Sunday, February 11th. Shot by award-winning director Stacy Wall of Imperial Woodpecker Productions, based on the creative ideation from LA-based independent creative agency HAYMAKER, the spot takes viewers somewhere between Idaho and a dream, where lies Pluto TV Country, a place where the best couch potatoes in the world are raised on the finest content from Pluto TV – content that’s abundant, free and easy. 

Each potato represents the fandoms that Pluto TV plays host to regularly. In documentary style, rows of couch potatoes, watching Pluto TV, espouse emotions in confessional-style fashion, while feeding on an array of diverse programming and genres ranging from thrillers, dramas, reality, comedies, telenovelas and more. Pluto TV’s brand new look was unveiled recently as the brand prepared for enhanced visibility during the Super Bowl and its 10th anniversary later this year. The bold new appearance features an updated logo, motion graphics and color scheme. The signature font of the logo remains, with updates being made to the overall shape and placement, as well as a move to a new primary Plutonium.’ The logo’s motion graphic features a nod to its planetary namesake, with an orbiting motion reflecting both the gravitational pull of Pluto TV’s entertainment universe and its programming model of centering around fans. 

And finally, to ramp up the excitement in the weeks surrounding the game, Pluto TV launched ‘NFL Super Bowl Classics’ channel featuring past Super Bowl games and specials 24/7 so football enthusiasts can relive every pass, touchdown and Hail Mary of the most iconic showdowns in sports history. The first of its kind, this channel is exclusively on Pluto TV for a limited time, now until February 21.

February 7, 2024 - SHOWTIME today released first-look images from the new eight-episode series A GENTLEMAN IN MOSCOW and announced it will premiere Friday, March 29 on streaming and on demand for Paramount+ subscribers with the Paramount+ with SHOWTIME plan before its on-air debut on Paramount+ with SHOWTIME on Sunday, March 31 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. The series also will premiere on Paramount+ on March 29 in Canada, the UK and Australia with additional Paramount+ international territories to follow at a later date.

An adaptation of Amor Towles' internationally best-selling novel, A GENTLEMAN IN MOSCOW follows Count Alexander Rostov, played by Emmy® Award-winning actor Ewan McGregor (Star Wars franchise, Halston, Trainspotting), who, in the aftermath of the Russian Revolution, finds that his gilded past has placed him on the wrong side of history. Spared immediate execution, he is banished by a Soviet tribunal to an attic room in the opulent Hotel Metropol and threatened with death if he ever sets foot outside again. As the years pass and some of the most tumultuous decades in Russian history unfold outside the hotel's doors, Rostov's reduced circumstances provide him entry into a much larger world of emotional discovery. As he builds a new life within the walls of the hotel, he discovers the true value of friendship, family and love.

Alongside McGregor, the series stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Ahsoka, Kate, Birds of Prey) as glamorous, self-made film actress Anna Urbanova; Alexa Goodall (The Devil's Hour, Lockwood and Co) as the Count's unlikely young friend Nina; Johnny Harris (Without Sin, This Is England '86) as conflicted secret police officer Osip; and Fehinti Balogun (Dune, I May Destroy You) as Mishka, the Count's best friend from university. Paramount+ has announced that production is underway in and around Fort Worth, Texas, on the highly anticipated original drama series LANDMAN, starring Oscar® winner Billy Bob Thornton. Co-created by Oscar nominee Taylor Sheridan and Christian Wallace, LANDMAN is produced by MTV Entertainment Studios, 101 Studios and Sheridan's Bosque Ranch Productions exclusively for Paramount+.

In addition, Paramount+ has announced that Golden Globe® nominee Demi Moore will also star in the original drama series as a series regular. Moore will play Cami, wife to one of the most powerful oil men in Texas and friend of Tommy Norris, played by series lead Billy Bob Thornton. Co-created by Oscar nominee Taylor Sheridan and Christian Wallace, LANDMAN is produced by MTV Entertainment Studios, 101 Studios and Sheridan's Bosque Ranch Productions exclusively for Paramount+.

Set in the proverbial boomtowns of West Texas, LANDMAN is a modern-day tale of fortune seeking in the world of oil rigs. Based on the notable 11-part podcast "Boomtown," the series is an upstairs/downstairs story of roughnecks and wildcat billionaires fueling a boom so big, it's reshaping our climate, our economy and our geopolitics.

Moore has proven herself to be one of the industry's most accomplished performers, lending her talents to an array of revered films and television both in front of and behind the camera. The actress set a record in 1995 when she became the highest-paid actress in Hollywood, a testament to her star power and box-office appeal. Most recently, Moore can be seen in the second season of Ryan Murphy's anthology series Feud: Capote Vs. The Swans as socialite Ann Woodward, a former showgirl and radio actress who infamously was accused of murdering her husband in 1955. The actress soon will be seen in Coralie Fargeat's first studio feature, The Substance, alongside Margaret Qualley. Moore's acting career took off in the late 1980's when she starred in St. Elmo's Fire. She then went on to star in such iconic films as About Last Night... , Ghost, A Few Good Men, Indecent Proposal, The Scarlet Letter, Disclosure and G.I. Jane. Success poured into the following years with Moore consistently starring in well-grossing films including Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle, Bobby and Margin Call, among many others. She produced and lent her voice to QCode's podcast "Dirty Diana," which is being adapted into a series in which Moore will star. In 2019, she added New York Times best seller to her lengthy list of credits with her memoir Inside Out.

In addition to Thornton and Moore, the series stars Ali Larter (The Last Victim), Michelle Randolph (1923), Jacob Lofland (Joker 2), Kayla Wallace (When Calls the Heart), James Jordan (Yellowstone), Mark Collie (Nashville) and Paulina Chávez (The Expanding Universe of Ashley Garcia).

Produced by Penske Entertainment and VICE Media Group, 100 DAYS TO INDY charts the adrenaline-fueled journeys of NTT INDYCAR SERIES' best drivers in their pursuits of the top spot at the iconic Indianapolis 500 Mile Race, the world's largest single-day sporting event.

Following bold, brash personalities in their on and off-track lives, the 100-day build-up to the final showdown begins on the starting grid of the 2023 season's first race. From there comes high-octane drama, fearless driving and fiery competition stretching from St. Petersburg, Florida to Dallas, Texas and Long Beach, California, until the winner crosses the finish line at the Indy 500, securing their position in motorsport's history books in front of more than 300,000 fans.

BREAKING NEWS! Super Bowl LVIII Live From Bikini Bottom is this Sunday, and officials are getting word that Plankton is plotting to disrupt the game. Authorities are pretending to take this very seriously, so as to not hurt his feelings. Let's go to Plankton for the scoop!


Nickelodeon and CBS Sports have revealed production elements for the first-ever Super Bowl alternate telecast, airing exclusively on Nickelodeon, Sunday, Feb. 11, 2024, at 6:30 p.m. (ET). Super Bowl LVIII Live from Bikini Bottom will feature enhanced graphics and advanced augmented reality, bringing the historic Slime-filled telecast to SpongeBob SquarePants’ undersea home. Paramount’s multiplatform coverage of Super Bowl LVIII will feature CBS Sports’ presentation on the CBS Television Network, which will stream on Paramount+ and on mobile with NFL+, in addition to the Nick-ified telecast exclusively on Nickelodeon.

For the first-time ever, characters from SpongeBob SquarePants will join the telecast live, with an animated SpongeBob SquarePants (voiced by Tom Kenny) and Patrick Star (voiced by Bill Fagerbakke) joining CBS Sports analyst Nate Burleson and play-by-play announcer Noah Eagle live in the booth to call the game. Sandy Cheeks (voiced by Carolyn Lawrence) will make her sideline reporting debut, while Larry the Lobster (voiced by Mr. Lawrence) provides live commentary. NFL Slimetime’s Young Dylan and Dylan Schefter will also report live from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nev. Dora the Explorer (voiced by Diana Zermeño) and Boots (voiced by Asher Colton Spence) help explain penalty calls during the game.

Super Bowl LVIII Live from Bikini Bottom will feature: a can’t-miss opening segment from Allegiant Stadium re-creating SpongeBob’s iconic “Sweet Victory” performance; hijinks throughout the game from fan-favorite villain Plankton; appearances from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles; reimagined end zone cannons that fire Slime, Krabby Patties and pickles; undersea AR jellyfish within the stadium; Slime trails and pineapples; and surprise appearances from beloved Nickelodeon characters in the crowd. The production will continue to showcase one-of-a-kind content and Nick-themed elements throughout, including guest appearances, original on-field graphics, virtual filters, and more for kids and families.

Beginning Monday, Feb. 5, and following Super Bowl LVIII, Nickelodeon and CBS Sports will debut a programming lineup for kids and families that includes brand-new episodes of NFL Slimetime and more. Below is the rundown of the premieres, airing ET/PT on Nickelodeon unless otherwise noted:

  • “SpongeBob’s Super Bowl Party” – Monday, Feb. 5, at 7pm
    • The Super Bowl is here, and Patrick, SpongeBob, and Gary are throwing a party! Fans are invited to join their favorite Bikini Bottom residents as they prepare for the Super Bowl and get a glimpse at the town’s game day rituals.
  • NFL Slimetime “Super Bowl Preview” – Wednesday, Feb. 7, at 7:30pm
    • Find out who takes home NFL Slimetime’s top honor--the NVP of NVPs. Plus, catch Slimelights of some of the NFL’s most exciting players.
  • NFL Slimetime “NFL Slimetime at Super Bowl” – Sunday, Feb. 11, at 11:30am (simulcast on CBS and Paramount+)
    • Hosts Nate Burleson and Young Dylan are kicking off Super Bowl Sunday with Slimelights from the two teams’ road to the Super Bowl, while Dylan Schefter checks in with exclusive player interviews and Mia Burleson brings the facts about the official Wilson football and the Vince Lombardi Trophy. Plus, Schefter and Young Dylan give fans a behind-the-scenes look at the augmented reality that will appear in Super Bowl LVIII on Nickelodeon.
  • NFL Slimetime “Super Bowl LVIII Slimelights” – Monday, Feb. 12, at 7pm (Airs on Nickelodeon in the UK, New Zealand and Australia on Tuesday, Feb. 13)
    • The game may be over, but the party’s just beginning! SpongeBob SquarePants’ Realistic Fish Head (voiced by Mr. Lawrence) will recap the highlights and Slimelights from the biggest night in sports.
  • NFL Slimetime “Post-Super Bowl” – Wednesday, Feb. 14, at 7:30pm *season 3 finale*
    • Young Dylan and Dylan Schefter wrap up the season with a recap of Super Bowl LVIII, including a look back at the action from Bikini Bottom, exclusive postgame interviews and bloopers. Plus, they highlight the winner of the slimiest trophy in sports--the Super Bowl NVP.

To celebrate the first-ever Super Bowl alternate telecast, Nickelodeon is inviting kids and kids at heart to climb through its Splat portal into the inflatable Bikini Bottom Super Bowl Spectacular at Super Bowl Experience at Mandalay Bay South Convention Center. Fans will have the Slime of their lives as they bounce on a larger-than-life Krabby Patty, toss Krabby Patties into SpongeBob’s mouth, pose for a slimy photo op with the NFL Slimetime NVP trophy and more.

Nick.com/SuperBowl will serve as the official Super Bowl digital hub for kids and families on game day, where users can engage with an array of content packages, meme galleries, articles and more.

Additionally, SpongeBob and Super Bowl LVIII are coming together in the ultimate Bikini Bottom experience on Roblox. Elements from Super Bowl LVIII Live from Bikini Bottom will be featured in five experiences from Gamefam on Roblox--SpongeBob Simulator, TMNT Battle Tycoon, Super NFL Tycoon, Easy Obby and Twilight Daycare. From Feb. 2-19, users can earn Super Bowl SpongeBob-themed rewards by completing quests in each and across all five experiences, participating in pre-game trivia, interacting with SpongeBob characters and more.

On-site in Las Vegas, fans can shop for exclusive products at the Paramount Mountain, including: a SpongeBob SquarePants t-shirt, a Survivor scarf, a Yellowstone hoodie, and South Park socks, plus receive a free Paramount tote with their purchase.
