SpongeBob SquarePants will be celebrating two massive milestones in 2024: Not only will Nickelodeon's beloved animated series be celebrating its 25th anniversary on-air, but Nickelodeon is set to air the show's 300th episode!
Not only that, the 300th episode of
SpongeBob (production wise) will be a "sequel episode" to one of the show's most iconic episodes... FUUTTTURREE!!
The 300th episode of SpongeBob is titled "PL-1413," and if you haven't guessed, it'll be kind of a sequel to season one's "SB-129." In "PL-1413," however, it's Plankton who travels two thousand years into the future, where he finds a few unfamiliar faces.
"PL-1413" is slated to air as a group of new episodes to celebrate SpongeBob's 25th anniversary, which also includes new episodes "Squidiot Box," "Blood is Thicker Than Grease," and "In the Mood to Feud." And if you don't need to use IMAGINATION to guess what "Squidiot Box" may be a follow up to!
