Animation production company Mint Copenhagen has started production on Tim Rex in Space, an a--new animated preschool series for Paramount.

The 60×7’ series will premiere in 2025 on Paramount-owned Channel 5 in the UK as part of its Milkshake! kids strand and on Nickelodeon’s platforms worldwide.
“I am incredibly proud that the dedicated Mint team has developed Tim Rex in Space allowing us to work with Paramount to bring the series to a global audience. We look forward to seeing the series unfold on Paramount’s platforms,” Mint Copenhagen partner and series producer Josephine Jerris Margolis said in a statement.
Tim Rex in Space follows the young Tyrannosaurus Rex, Tim, and his friends on an adventure in a colourful intergalactic environment. Created with a global audience in mind, the series blends humor, suspense, and everyday themes that kids can relate to.
“Nickelodeon has always focused on leveraging creative storytelling worldwide to create unique and relevant content that appeals to children and families globally. Tim Rex in Space is a perfect example of this. The UK-produced preschool series is authentic and entertaining,” Managing Director (MD) and Executive Vice President (EVP) of kids and family at Paramount, Jules Borkent, said.
The production team includes director Sam Dransfield, known for Bossy Bear, and art director Joshua Hogan from Mint Copenhagen. For Mint Copenhagen, which has been around since 2012, Tim Rex in Space is a milestone.
