A team of pet hamsters brave "royal missions" to protect their eight-year-old owner, Harry, in Nickelodeon's brand new animated preschool series, Hamsters of Hamsterdale, premiering this November on Nick Jr. UK & Ireland!
Originally announced during Nickelodeon Upfront 2021 under the working title The Hamster Show, Hamsters of Hamsterdale is a new creator-driven 2D-animated preschool series that will help fuel Nickelodeon's ever-expanding content slate.
In Hamsters of Hamsterdale, Popcorn, Clover, Mondo, Lil’ Pal and Greg are a team of pet hamsters who believe they are the heroic protectors of their 8-year-old owner, “King” Harry.
Armed with only their hamster wits and comical misunderstanding of the human world, they brave “royal missions” through the kingdom of Hamsterdale (their home) to help Harry, who has no clue about any of their adventures. Harry loves his pets and takes top notch care of them but has no idea about the hamsters’ secret missions through the house and neighborhood, all in noble efforts to help or save him. Join in the hilarious escapades as the hamsters constantly misinterpret Harry and his family, having no understanding of why humans act the way they do.
Hamsters of Hamsterdale (26 x 11-minute episodes) is created by Zach Smith (Baby Shark’s Big Show!). Jason Groh (Go Away, Unicorn!, Wishfart) is the director and Lynne Warner (Corn & Peg, The Most Magnificent Thing) is the supervising producer for Nelvana. The series is executive produced by Colin Bohm, Doug Murphy, Zach Smith, Pam Westman, with Jason Groh serving as a director and Lan Lamon serving as a producer. The series is produced by Nelvana and animated by Atomic Cartoons.
Nick Jr. UK & Ireland will premiere Hamsters of Hamsterdale on Saturday 9th November 2024, with new episodes airing every Saturday and Sunday at 10:30am and 10:45am.
A U.S. premiere date for Hamsters of Hamsterdale is still to be announced.
