Fans of SpongeBob SquarePants may soon be able to munch on a real-life Krabby Patty this fall, thanks to a secret collaboration with Paramount and Wendy's!
Wendy's and Paramount, the owner of the beloved franchise through Nickelodeon, are reportedly cooking up a special SpongeBob Krabby Patty burger, which could come as early as this fall alongside a special guest.
Popverse, citing an internal memo sent to some Wendy’s locations, reported that the burger will debut alongside a sweet companion: a Pineapple Under the Sea Frosty — referencing the titular character’s iconic house. Wendy’s and Paramount have not respond to requests for comment.
For those unfamiliar with SpongeBob SquarePants, the Krabby Patty in the animated series is a mythical, meatless marvel, crafted from seaweed buns and a patty with unknown origins. The ingredients of the famous Krabby Patty are pretty clear – two buns, with the patty, lettuce, cheese, onion, tomatoes, ketchup, mustard, and pickles between them (in that order). The Season 1 episode "Pickles" makes this pretty explicitly clear.
Over the years, the Krabby Patty has been famously the target of devious trickster Plankton, who has been plotting to get his hands on the secret formula.
While the actual ingredients of the Krabby Patty are still a closely guarded secret, we do know that the Wendy's version the Krabby Patty will be slightly different to the official one featured in the series. Whilst the in-show version of the Krabby Patty contains no animal protein, the Wendy's version of the burger will have meat - but come topped with "a secret Krabby Patty Sauce, capturing the magic of the iconic fictional sandwich for SpongeBob fans."
The burger itself is described as “a premium cheeseburger with Wendy’s fresh, never frozen beef, topped with fresh produce and a secret Krabby Patty sauce, capturing the magic of the iconic fictional sandwich for SpongeBob fans.” Unfortunately, there’s no jellyfish jelly in sight.
This would purportedly be sold side-by-side with a Pineapple Under the Sea Frosty, flavorited with vanilla and a Pineapple Mango puree.
“In honor of SpongeBob’s home, this Frosty is made with our signature Vanilla Frosty swirled with Pineapple Mango puree, offering a first-of-its-kind dessert experience for fans of all ages,” the memo said.
The note also hinted at the expected reception for the meal.
“This is an exciting moment for Wendy’s, and we anticipate that both QSR (quick service restaurant) consumers and SpongeBob fans will turn out in a big way for this limited-time experience,” the memo said.
According to the memo, the Krusty Patty Kollab will also feature limited-edition SpongeBob sticker sheets.
Should the burger become a reality, it could mark a historic pairing of food and entertainment. The promotion is expected to kick off on October 8 as part of SpongeBob SquarePants' 25th anniversary celebrations and last until November 11, with the The Krabby Patty available at participating Wendy’s locations across the U.S., Canada, and Guam.
Update (8/31): Fans should contain their excitement about this Patrick Star-studded meal, however.
“While we can’t confirm what’s coming down Wendy’s innovation pipeline, we can share that we’re always looking to bring fans new menu items inspired by our fans’ cravings,” a Wendy’s spokesperson told TODAY.com.
So, we’ll just have to wait and see. Here’s hoping — for Plankton — they’ll share the recipe (cue Mr. Krab’s cackle).

Brand new sets for the Smurfs franchise
In The Smurfs – Dreams, get ready to discover worlds you’ve never seen before. You’ll be leaving the forest to enter the dreams of several Smurfs who have been put to sleep by Gargamel! For Ocellus Studio, the game’s creator, the dream concept is the perfect opportunity to offer settings that are truly out of the ordinary. “Dreams represent the epitome of creative freedom, the place where we can come up with the most outlandish and magical ideas,” reveals Art Director Jordan Parrin. “The constraints of reality no longer exist; we can defy the laws of physics, make objects infinitely large or small, and so much more besides.”
The amazing worlds you’ll be able to explore in The Smurfs – Dreams are:
Chef Smurf’s dream. He’s the one who’s passionate about culinary delights, and loves to cook for the whole village. So, not unsurprisingly, his dream is all about food, and above all about desserts. Here, the snow is whipped cream and the lava, caramel. The problem is, the Smurfs are desperate to devour this deliciously sweet decor. Your job is to bring them to their senses, by venturing to the terrifying Bigmouth’s house to retrieve a special ingredient.
Smurfette’s dream. She’s not just the only girl in the village, she also has a dark past, having been originally created by Gargamel to wreak havoc. So, her dream expresses this dual identity, offering a green and pleasant, flower-filled land, which at any moment could ‘slip away’ and turn into a dark and desolate landscape. Our mission is to reconcile these two worlds, which make up the complex nature of Smurfette.
Vanity Smurf’s dream. This quirky character is fascinated by beauty, especially his own and is constantly admiring himself in the mirror! In his dream, which takes place above the clouds, everything is wonderfully elegant: a place of gilding, mosaics, marble and statues. “This was my favorite world to work on,” confides Jordan Parrin, “Because it allowed me to draw on multiple influences in the history of art, such as the Baroque and Art Nouveau movements.”
… and there’s one last mysterious world. We won’t reveal who this dream belongs to, but as you may have glimpsed in the trailers, this one is altogether more sinister and nightmarish, complete with dungeons and poisonous swamps… Aaaahh! 😬 Find out more when you play the game on October 24.

As you will see, with this new episode, Ocellus Studio has sought to plunge players into unexpected worlds. But that’s not all! The sets will also be as close as possible to the visual quality of the animated films. “Thanks to Unreal Engine 5, and our experience with Marsupilami – Hoobadventure, we’ve been able to take things as far as possible, particularly with regard to lighting and the number of Smurfs on screen,” comments Jordan Parrin.
Another point that sets the environments apart is their liveliness and rich animation. Players will often come across Smurfs squabbling, chatting or fishing, and they’ll be able to say hello to them. There will also be numerous interactions with the sets such as a flower that produces musical notes and a sign that turns on itself when you bump into it, among others. “When the world reacts to our presence in a game, it is all the more rewarding and immersive,” observes Jordan.

August 29, 2024 – Paramount+ today released the official trailer for the all-new psychological thriller APARTMENT 7A, available to stream exclusively on Paramount+ Friday, September 27 in the U.S. and Canada, Latin America and Brazil and on September 28 in the U.K., France, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Italy and Australia. Availability in additional international Paramount+ markets to come at a later date. In addition to exclusively streaming on Paramount+, the film will be available for purchase on digital beginning Friday, September 27.
Set in 1965 New York City, the film tells the story prior to the legendary horror classic Rosemary’s Baby, exploring what happened in the infamous Bramford building before Rosemary moved in.

An ambitious young dancer Terry Gionoffrio (Julia Garner, Ozark) dreams of fame and fortune in New York City, but, after suffering a devastating injury, an older, wealthy couple (Dianne Wiest, I Care a Lot, and Kevin McNally, Pirates of the Caribbean film series) welcomes her into their home in the luxury apartment building the Bramford. When fellow resident and influential Broadway producer (Jim Sturgess, Across the Universe) offers her another chance at fame, it seems that all her dreams are finally coming true. However, after an evening she can’t fully remember, disturbing circumstances soon have her second-guessing the sacrifices she’s willing to make for her career as she realizes that something evil is living not only in Apartment 7A, but in the Bramford itself.
