June 21, 2024 — Paramount+ today announced that the new six-part docuseries MAFIA SPIES, directed Tom Donahue and produced by CreativeChaos in association with Danny Strong Productions and See It Now Studios, will premiere on the service on Tuesday, July 16 in the U.S. and Canada and on Wednesday, July 17 in the UK, Australia, Latin America, Brazil, France, Italy, Germany, Switzerland and Austria. Artwork and a trailer for the series also were revealed. The series is distributed by Paramount Global Content Distribution.

In MAFIA SPIES, viewers discover real-world spies, gangsters, honeypots and mistresses that unravels a hidden conspiracy between the CIA and the Chicago mob to assassinate Fidel Castro at a critical time in the Cold War; President Kennedy made it known that there was no living with Castro with missiles 90 miles from American soil.

Based on the book “Mafia Spies: The Inside Story of the CIA, Gangsters, JFK, and Castro” by Thomas Maier (Masters of Sex), this action-packed and fully immersive series talks to the key players - giving their first-person accounts of what was happening in the United States and Cuba. Relying heavily on recently declassified material and premium cinematic recreations, the series charts a Cold War game of cat and mouse from Vegas to Miami to Havana that pitted Washington’s strongest players against the 20th century’s most notorious gangsters and exploring the secret connections among the CIA, the mob and Sinatra’s Rat Pack that still resonate today.

Delving into one of America’s most remarkable espionage plots, the series includes exclusive interviews in the U.S. and Cuba, with expert historians and notable journalists, such as Gerald Posner, Tim Weiner, Geoff Schumacher, Stephen Kinzer, Peter Kornbluh, J. Michael Niotta, Professor Boris Nerey Obregon and Felix Rodriguez. The series also features Sam Giancana‘s daughter Antoinette, entertainer Betsy Duncan and actor Robert Davi.

June 20, 2024 — Paramount+ today announced that the new docuseries NÖTHIN' BUT A GOOD TIME: THE UNCENSORED STORY OF ‘80S HAIR METAL will premiere exclusively on the service later this year. Directed by Jeff Tremaine (jackass, The Dirt), the three-part series showcases the notoriously wild ‘80s hard rock phenomenon and features interviews with those who lived the scene, including Bret Michaels, Stephen Pearcy, Nuno Bettencourt, Dave “Snake'' Sabo, and Riki Rachtman, along with Corey Taylor and Steve-O, among many others.

Based on the acclaimed book “Nöthin But a Good Time: The Uncensored History of the ‘80s Hard Rock Explosion” by esteemed rock journalists Tom Beaujour and Richard Bienstock, the series delivers a fresh and shockingly candid behind-the-scenes look at one of music’s most iconic eras. Each episode showcases the insanity and blazing ambition that has enthralled generations of music lovers and continues to influence culture to this day.

“This docuseries is a celebration of the most outrageous decade in rock n’ roll. It’s my love letter to the ‘80s,” said Tremaine.

Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is a upcoming, all-new original 2D animated series. All 12 episodes of the premiere season of Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will debut on Friday, August 9, exclusively on Paramount+ in the U.S. and Canada, and on Saturday, August 10 in the U.K. and Australia. Rollout in additional international markets will be announced at a later date.

Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles guest stars include Pete Davidson (Saturday Night Live) as Rod, a lazy rich kid who loves Mutants so much, he'll do everything in his power to become one, and Alanna Ubach (Ted) as Bishop, a brilliant inventor who believes mutants are the greatest danger to humanity and that all of them, including the Turtles, must be eliminated. Additional guest stars are still to be announced.

The series is produced by Nickelodeon Animation and Point Grey Pictures, who brought audiences last summer's smash-hit Paramount Pictures film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem. From the universe of the Mutant Mayhem film, the all-new Paramount+ original series Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles explores the adventures of everyone's favorite pizza-loving heroes as they emerge from the sewers onto the streets of NYC. Leo, Raph, Donnie and Mikey are faced with new threats and team up with old allies to survive both teenage life and villains lurking in the shadows of the Big Apple.

Reprising their roles from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem are Micah Abbey (Cousins for Life) as Donatello, Shamon Brown Jr. (THE CHI) as Michelangelo, Nicolas Cantu (The Walking Dead: World Beyond) as Leonardo, Brady Noon (Family Switch) as Raphael and Ayo Edebiri (The Bear) as April O'Neil.

Velocity Experience: We’re thrilled to be live at the F1 Fan Zone this weekend at the British Grand Prix, celebrating SpongeBob’s 25th Anniversary with @paramountplus and @nickelodeon

Our team brought this exciting concept to life using a mood board provided by Paramount and Nickelodeon. From this brief, we developed an engaging activation that fans can immerse themselves in.

Visitors can enjoy various activities, including shuffleboard and creating their own Bikini Bottom driver’s license. There are also fun photo opportunities with Krabby Patties, wearing SpongeBob’s iconic pants, and snapping a picture on the podium.

A major highlight is the SpongeBob-themed F1 show car, which has attracted significant attention on our first day.

Having collaborated with Paramount on previous activations, it’s been a pleasure working with them again to celebrate everyone’s favorite sponge!

Paramount Applies to Trademark 'Bikini Bottom News' With the USPTO

BREAKING NEWS! Paramount Global has applied to trademark the name Bikini Bottom News with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO)!

Paramount, under Viacom International Inc., has applied to register Bikini Bottom News under NICE Class "41 - Education, entertainment, sporting and cultural services", for "Entertainment services, namely, providing a multimedia video segment and online content in the nature of non-downloadable videos". The request was filed on June 25, 2024, and is currently pending approval.

Bikini Bottom News takes it name from the Bikini Bottom News news channel featured in the SpongeBob Universe, which reports events happening in and around Bikini Bottom, with the Realistic Fish Head and Perch Perkins serving as the network's main reporters.

As the name and description suggest, Bikini Bottom News is most likely a SpongeBob SquarePants-themed digital series. Although a launch date has yet to be announced, Bikini Bottom News will most likely form part of Nickelodeon's celebrations to commemorate the 25th anniversary of SpongeBob SquarePants.,

Nickelodeon Renews 'Tyler Perry’s Young Dylan' for Season 5

Tyler Perry’s Young Dylan has been renewed for Season 5 at Nickelodeon.

The kids’ comedy series will enter production on July 8 in Atlanta, Ga., at Tyler Perry Studios. Season 5 will consist of 13 episodes and will kick off later in 2024 with a holiday episode premiere.

A multi-cam sitcom created by Perry, Young Dylan stars Dylan Gilmer as a rising hip-hop star who moves in with uncle and their affluent family. Season 5 will follow Dylan and his cousin Rebecca (Celina Smith) as they “try to expand their fledgling hip-hop record label, while the whole Wilson family tries to deal with Dylan’s mogul dreams,” per Nickelodeon.

“Young Dylan has been such a fun series for families to watch together, and we’re looking forward to continuing the story of the Wilsons and Dylan as he strives to reach his dreams,” Perry said in a statement to Variety.

Young Dylan also stars Hero Hunter, Jet Miller, Mieko Hillman, Aloma Lesley Wright and Carl Anthony Payne, II. Perry serves as executive producer, while Mark E. Swinton and Will Areu are producers.

The show launched in February 2020 and scored the highest ratings for a series premiere on Nickelodeon since 2017. The fourth season kicked off in fall 2023.

Perry is keeping busy with a slew of other projects on the way, most notably the thriller Divorce in the Black, premiering on July 11 on Amazon Prime Video. The movie stars Meagan Good (Cousin Skeeter) as a young bank professional who is fighting for freedom against her husband.

SÃO PAULO, 5 JUNHO DE 2024 – A Nickelodeon inicia as comemorações do 25º aniversário do Bob Esponja Calça-Quadrada, tendo o próprio Bob Esponja e Patrick Estrela como apresentadores do Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards 2024, diretamente da Fenda do Biquíni. A transmissão imersiva e cheia de slime, que vai ao ar, no Brasil, em 17 de julho, marca a primeira vez em que dois personagens animados serão apresentadores de uma premiação e dá início a uma série de atividades comemorativas e multiplataformas para uma das animações mais populares e amadas de todos os tempos.

O Kids' Choice Awards 2024 acontecerá em um ambiente totalmente imersivo com gráficos aprimorados e realidade aumentada avançada, diretamente do Pauley Pavilion, no campus da UCLA, em Los Angeles (EUA), celebrando os conteúdos favoritos das crianças no cinema, televisão, música, esportes e muito mais. Os artistas indicados, incluindo brasileiros, acabam de ser anunciados e as votações já estão abertas no site.
