Paramount Applies to Trademark 'Bikini Bottom News' With the USPTO

BREAKING NEWS! Paramount Global has applied to trademark the name Bikini Bottom News with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO)!

Paramount, under Viacom International Inc., has applied to register Bikini Bottom News under NICE Class "41 - Education, entertainment, sporting and cultural services", for "Entertainment services, namely, providing a multimedia video segment and online content in the nature of non-downloadable videos". The request was filed on June 25, 2024, and is currently pending approval.

Bikini Bottom News takes it name from the Bikini Bottom News news channel featured in the SpongeBob Universe, which reports events happening in and around Bikini Bottom, with the Realistic Fish Head and Perch Perkins serving as the network's main reporters.

As the name and description suggest, Bikini Bottom News is most likely a SpongeBob SquarePants-themed digital series. Although a launch date has yet to be announced, Bikini Bottom News will most likely form part of Nickelodeon's celebrations to commemorate the 25th anniversary of SpongeBob SquarePants.,

Nickelodeon Renews 'Tyler Perry’s Young Dylan' for Season 5

Tyler Perry’s Young Dylan has been renewed for Season 5 at Nickelodeon.

The kids’ comedy series will enter production on July 8 in Atlanta, Ga., at Tyler Perry Studios. Season 5 will consist of 13 episodes and will kick off later in 2024 with a holiday episode premiere.

A multi-cam sitcom created by Perry, Young Dylan stars Dylan Gilmer as a rising hip-hop star who moves in with uncle and their affluent family. Season 5 will follow Dylan and his cousin Rebecca (Celina Smith) as they “try to expand their fledgling hip-hop record label, while the whole Wilson family tries to deal with Dylan’s mogul dreams,” per Nickelodeon.

“Young Dylan has been such a fun series for families to watch together, and we’re looking forward to continuing the story of the Wilsons and Dylan as he strives to reach his dreams,” Perry said in a statement to Variety.

Young Dylan also stars Hero Hunter, Jet Miller, Mieko Hillman, Aloma Lesley Wright and Carl Anthony Payne, II. Perry serves as executive producer, while Mark E. Swinton and Will Areu are producers.

The show launched in February 2020 and scored the highest ratings for a series premiere on Nickelodeon since 2017. The fourth season kicked off in fall 2023.

Perry is keeping busy with a slew of other projects on the way, most notably the thriller Divorce in the Black, premiering on July 11 on Amazon Prime Video. The movie stars Meagan Good (Cousin Skeeter) as a young bank professional who is fighting for freedom against her husband.

A transmissão imersiva e cheia de slime, que vai ao ar, no Brasil, em 17 de julho, marca a primeira vez em que dois personagens animados serão apresentadores de uma premiação e dá início a uma série de atividades comemorativas e multiplataformas para uma das animações mais populares e amadas de todos os tempos.

O Kids' Choice Awards 2024 acontecerá em um ambiente totalmente imersivo com gráficos aprimorados e realidade aumentada avançada, diretamente do Pauley Pavilion, no campus da UCLA, em Los Angeles (EUA), celebrando os conteúdos favoritos das crianças no cinema, televisão, música, esportes e muito mais. Os artistas indicados, incluindo brasileiros, acabam de ser anunciados e as votações já estão abertas no site.

25 Jahre SpongeBob Schwammkopf:

Der bekannteste Schwamm der Welt feiert seinen 25. Geburtstag: SpongeBob Schwammkopf zaubert seit der offiziellen Premiere in den USA auf Nickelodeon am 17. Juli 1999 bei Klein und Groß ein Lächeln ins Gesicht – sei es mit seinem unantastbaren Optimismus, seiner ansteckenden Fröhlichkeit oder seinen rasanten Aktionen. Zusammen mit seinem besten Freund Patrick Star und seinem grummeligen Nachbar Thaddäus Tentakel erlebt der kultige Schwamm die aufregendsten Abenteuer in Bikini Bottom.

Gefeiert wird das 25-jährige Jubiläum von SpongeBob Schwammkopf das ganze Jahr: Den Auftakt machen neue Folgen des Serien-Spinoffs Kamp Koral – SpongeBobs Kinderjahre bei Paramount+ sowie große SpongeBob-Marathons bei Super RTL und Nickelodeon. Einen Höhepunkt markieren SpongeBob Schwammkopf und Patrick Star außerdem als Gastgeber der Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards 2024, die am 17. Juli, um 19:00 Uhr bei Nickelodeon in Deutschland und um 16:30 Uhr in Österreich und der Schweiz, sowie kurz darauf zum Abruf bei Paramount+ zu sehen sind. Bei der mit Slime gefüllten, immersiven Show werden das erste Mal animierte Charaktere eine Preisverleihung in voller Länge moderieren.  Dies ist Teil einer Reihe von Multiplattform-Initiativen für eine der beliebtesten Figuren und Zeichentrickserien aller Zeiten.

Die Kids’ Choice Awards 2024 werden in einer animierten Umgebung mit grafischen Effekten und moderner Augmented Reality präsentiert und ehren die Favoriten der Kinder aus den Bereichen Film, Fernsehen, Musik, Sport und mehr. Nominierte und prominente Gäste werden in Kürze bekannt gegeben.

Streamen wie ein Schwamm heißt es schon ab dem 10. Juli bei Paramount+, wo vier neue Folgen der 14. Staffel von SpongeBob Schwammkopf und die ersten 13 Folgen der zweiten Staffel von Kamp Koral Premiere feiern. SpongeBob-Fans können auf Paramount+ auf ein Universum von Inhalten zugreifen, darunter alle Folgen von SpongeBob Schwammkopf, die Spinoff-Serien Kamp Koral und Die Patrick Star Show, sowie die Kinofilme Der SpongeBob Schwammkopf Film und SpongeBob Schwammkopf: Schwamm aus dem Wasser.

Ab dem 15. Juli startet dann das spektakuläre Sonderprogamm von Nickelodeon in Deutschland, bei dem innerhalb von 25 Tagen zwischen dem 15. Juli und dem 8. August jede einzelne der über 300 Episoden von SpongeBob Schwammkopf gezeigt wird. Die Folgen laufen dabei immer vormittags zwischen 08:20 und 11:15 Uhr (Staffeln 1-8) und nachmittags von 15:30 bis 18:00 Uhr (Staffeln 9-14).

Einen SpongeBob-Geburtstagsmarathon mit Sonderprogrammierung vom 8. bis zum 14. Juli präsentiert Super RTL: Die ersten sechs Tage mit einer täglichen SpongeBob-Strecke am Morgen im Rahmen des Ferienprogramms, der gekrönt wird von einem Geburtstagsmarathon am 14. Juli mit allen Folgen der legendären ersten Staffel. Durch den Marathon führt der Nachrichtensprecher „Echt aussehender Fischkopf“, der zu jeder Episode spannende Fakten und lustige Anekdoten aus der Welt von SpongeBob präsentiert.

Weiter geht die Party am 19. Juli bei Comedy Central mit einem 24-Stunden-Marathon von SpongeBob Schwammkopf. Und im August können sich Fans auf den Start von Rettet Bikini Bottom: Der Sandy Cheeks Film bei Netflix freuen. Das Eichhörnchen Sandy Cheeks, die Wissenschaftlerin von Bikini Bottom, reist nach Texas, um Bikini Bottom vor einer bösen Verschwörung zu retten. HOLLYWOOD, Calif.–May 16, 2024– Building on the success of The Thundermans Return, which premiered ranking as cable’s #1 entertainment telecast of the year with kids, Nickelodeon Studios today announced a spinoff based on characters from the hit live-action superhero comedy. The spinoff series will follow Phoebe and Max, who are sent undercover to handle a new threat in the seaside town of Secret Shores and bring Chloe along to develop her superhero talent. Production on the show will begin in Vancouver in August, with premiere details to be announced at a later date.

In the brand-new series, Chloe forms a bond with two classmates while they investigate suspicious activity coming from the local school, who don’t realize their new friend has secret powers. As the danger increases, the Thunderman trio must stay in town indefinitely, leaving the squabbling twins in charge of raising their younger sister.

The spinoff show will star original series cast members Kira Kosarin as “Phoebe,” Jack Griffo as “Max,” and Maya Le Clark as “Chloe.” The show will also feature guest appearances from additional original series cast members.

The Thundermans Return premiered on Nickelodeon and Paramount+ earlier this year. The feature-length movie, based on the hit live-action superhero comedy series, The Thundermans, follows the superpowered family as they attempt to live a normal life while using their superhuman abilities to stop crime. The movie was the number-one Entertainment telecast for the year to date in Live+3 performance across all cable among Kids 6-11, and reached 1.6 million Total Viewers throughout its premiere weekend (3/7/24-3/10/24), across airings on Nickelodeon and Nick At Nite (4 telecasts). Boss Fight Studio Set to Launch Garfield Action Figures

Boss Fight Studio has partnered with Paramount to create the first fully articulated Garfield action figures.

Boss Fight Studio’s Garfield collection features Garfield, Odie and Nermal action figures, along with a large-scale Garfield figure. Garfield comes with 25 points of articulation, a tray of lasagna, a swappable alternate expression and his beloved teddy bear, Pooky.

Garfield and his pals are now available for preorder.

This summer, Lush and Paramount Consumer Products are set to launch a limited edition product collection featuring the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Lush has teamed up with Paramount’s iconic Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to launch an exclusive range of limited-edition products for the bath, shower, body and hair. Renowned for innovating packaging-free cosmetic items, such as bath bombs, soap, shampoo bars and solid body scrub, Lush has designed the whole collection to celebrate innovation that removes the need for single-use plastic and encourage shoppers to use products formulated to work just as well as their packaged counterparts.

Lush has been able to co-create this range of six new immersive products (plus a pack of three exclusive face cloths) across bath, shower and hair care to ensure multiple steps of your body care routine are covered, and to enable everyone to make small moves to help the planet by using less single-use plastic in their daily life.

The new Lush x TMNT collection will be available from the 1st of July exclusively via the Lush app, and from the 4th of July at Lush stores and Lush.com.

Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Announces SpongeBob 25th Anniversary Celebration | Summer of SpongeBob

In honor of SpongeBob SquarePants' 25th anniversary, Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts is launching a celebration. The event will take place throughout July 2024 as part of the award-winning Summer of SpongeBob program.

Both Nickelodeon resorts (Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic and in Riviera Maya, Mexico) have introduced new SpongeBob beach-themed overlays, perfect for family photo ops during this special anniversary along with a limited-time 25th-anniversary sandcastle display created by local artists. 

Adding to the excitement, watch party events will feature iconic SpongeBob episodes. Guests are encouraged to dress up in their favorite SpongeBob attire and enjoy the experience with popcorn, sodas, ice cream and cotton candy. Additionally, 25th Anniversary retail items will be available for purchase.

At Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, Team Nick will host an epic surprise party for SpongeBob, with SpongeBob, Patrick and Squidward in attendance. Guests are invited to join in the festivities, which include a giant cake, games, piñatas, party favors, live music, and character photo ops. Additionally, there will be a live DJ at the Gourmet Village, Splash Mobs and more. 

Guests at Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Riviera Maya, Mexico can party with SpongeBob, Patrick, Squidward and Sandy. The festivities will take place at the Golden Pineapple in the Main Lobby and include plenty of dancing and a raffle with fantastic prizes. Kids can even enjoy a special SpongeBob-themed drink.

Additionally, Nickelodeon is kicking off SpongeBob SquarePants' 25th anniversary with SpongeBob and Patrick hosting the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards 2024 live from Bikini Bottom on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at 8:00 p.m. (ET/PT). This premiere comes just ahead of the SpongeBob series anniversary on July 17 and will feature enhanced graphics and advanced augmented reality.
