This Christmas, embark on a magical adventure as McDonald's proudly unveils the Paddington™ Happy Meal® - inspired by the animated television series, The Adventures of Paddington.

In the run-up to the Christmas period, McDonald’s has announced Paddington will be returning to its Happy Meals across the U.K. and Ireland.

The toys and books, inspired by The Adventures of Paddington are available at all restaurants nationwide through Jan. 3. Each Happy Meal will offer customers the choice of an exclusive Paddington plush toy or a Paddington book. There are 10 Paddington plush toys, dressed in winter outfits and festive attire, for families to collect and enjoy.

Each plush toy, including Paddington dressed as an elf, a reindeer, a Christmas tree and wearing a Santa hat, comes with a tag saying, “Please look after this bear. Thank you” tag, which holds a unique act of kindness kids can perform to spread joy during the festive season.

For those seeking a festive tale, families can choose from two books from Harper Collins’ children’s books, “First Snow” and “The Christmas Wish,” based on The Adventures of Paddington TV series which airs on Nick Jr. and Milkshake!. The Paddington Happy Meal encourages families to be kind like Paddington, the bear who has the power to ignite acts of kindness in everyone he meets.

Available for around £3.49, a Happy Meal® contains a choice of Fish Fingers, Chicken McNuggets or Veggie Dippers with an Apple & Grapefruit Bag, or Carrot Bag side, plus drink options including water, milk, or Fruit Shoot.

McDonald’s has also announced that Sonic the Hedgehog will be zooming into Happy Meals on Jan 4.

Nickelodeon marked World Children's Day with "takeovers" and shadowing experiences at CBS Sports and CBS News stations in various locations. Jack and Jill of America, Inc. had four winners participate in World Children's Day takeovers – Heru Sa Shekhem (Miami Chapter), Lillian Phillips (North Suburban Atlanta Chapter), William Aristide (Miami Chapter), and Langston Howard (Oakland County Chapter).

NEW YORK, Dec. 06, 2023 -- Licensing International, the leading trade association for the $340+ billion global brand licensing industry, and the Licensing International Foundation, which supports the education of future licensing leaders, today celebrated the induction of Pam Kaufman, Cindy Levitt, and Carole Postal to the Licensing International Hall of Fame. Held at Gotham Hall in New York City and hosted by CBS Saturday Morning co-host Dana Jacobson, the 2023 Hall of Fame Induction and Rising Star Awards event also honored the future of brand licensing, recognizing Rising Stars in the licensing business and celebrating the 2023 Licensing International Foundation scholarship recipients.  

Pam Kaufman is the President & CEO of International Markets, Global Consumer Products and Experiences at Paramount, representing well over $6 billion in worldwide retail revenue from a diverse slate of franchises, brands, and content including PAW Patrol, SpongeBob SquarePants, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Star Trek, South Park, Yellowstone, and Top Gun. Additionally, her purview includes gaming and themed entertainment such as hotels, resorts, live tours, Broadway, and VidCon. A passionate advocate for women and families, she is also on the board of the Pace Women’s Justice Center.

“It is an honor to receive this distinction from Licensing International,” said Kaufman. “I am immensely proud to work on the most iconic brands and characters, with the best team and partners, reaching fans in countries and cultures around the world.”

Kaufman was presented by Marva Smalls, EVP, Global Head of Inclusion at Paramount and EVP, Public Affairs, Nickelodeon.

Cindy Levitt is nationally recognized for her expertise in trend retail and developing novel licensing programs for the teen and young adult market. Best known for her more than two decades of work with retailer Hot Topic, Levitt recently retired as SVP of Licensing for Mad Engine. She is also an avid supporter of Delivering Good, a non-profit organization that provides merchandise to people in crisis, and is passionate about mentoring individuals entering the licensing industry.

“I am thrilled to be recognized as a member of the Licensing International Hall of Fame,” said Levitt. “Brand licensing brings fans and consumers closer to the properties they love, I am proud to be a part of this incredible industry and nurture its future growth.”

Levitt was presented by Ed La Bay, EVP of Merchandise, Marketing, Licensing, Product Development & Design at Hot Topic.

Carole Postal is an industry luminary with a career built on trend licensing acumen and retail expertise. She launched her agency in 1997 as what was then known as CopCorp and, in 2017, the agency was renamed Spotlight in recognition of its focus on developing successful branding and licensing programs for entertainment and non-traditional properties. In her professional career and through philanthropic activities, Postal has focused on bringing together (and bringing attention to) female leaders in business, entertainment, and philanthropy.

“It is a great privilege to receive this prestigious distinction,” said Postal. “Throughout my career and in my work at Spotlight Licensing & Brand Management, I have touched many brands to deliver unique licensing programs and look forward to continuing this growth with the support of our partners and colleagues in the industry.”

Postal was presented by Gareth Neame, CEO of Carnival Films and Executive Producer of Downton Abbey.

Established in 1989, the Licensing International Hall of Fame is home to the most esteemed global licensing executives of the last three decades. Inductees are selected by a committee of industry executives based on nominations received from the global licensing community at large; the Licensing International Board of Directors reviews all recommendations before making a final selection. Pam Kaufman, Cindy Levitt, and Carole Postal join industry luminaries including Kathy Ireland, Martha Stewart, George Lucas, Walt Disney, and Charles Schultz.

In addition to honoring Kaufman, Levitt, and Postal, the 2023 Hall of Fame event recognized rising talent already making strides in the licensing industry. The event celebrated the six 2023 Rising Star Award recipients as announced last month. For more than a decade, the Rising Star program has recognized young professionals from around the world who have been nominated by their peers and selected by the Rising Star committee members for their contributions to the global brand licensing industry.

Additionally, nine students—Evelynn Chang, Ayana Dailey, Laura Fekete, Candace Gaston, Nirahja Logan, Carol Oviedo Gonzalez, Laura Romero, Claudia Ruiz, and Pablo Ruiz Crespo—were celebrated as the recipients of the Licensing International Foundation 2023 Scholarship, awarded to accomplished students exploring a career in brand licensing. 

“The impact Pam, Cindy, and Carole have had on the global brand licensing industry cannot be overstated,” said Maura Regan, President of Licensing International. “I am thrilled to see them join Licensing International’s Hall of Fame. Japan, Dec 6, 2023 – Paramount+ today officially marked its entry into Japan with the launch on J:COM, one of Japan’s top cable television operators and broadband internet providers, and WOWOW Inc., the top premium pay channel in the market. With this launch, Paramount+ is now officially present in all the top ten international SVOD growth markets. 

The launch of Paramount+ brings unique stories, iconic stars, and a mountain of entertainment to Japanese audience, who are now able to enjoy the streaming service through the on-demand services of both J:COM and WOWOW, at no additional costs for their subscribers.   

The line-up includes Paramount+ originals such as TULSA KING, MAYOR OF KINGSTOWN, and STAR TREK: STRANGE NEW WORLDS which are exclusive to Paramount+ and already available at launch and for the first time in Japan; Hollywood hits like MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE, BUMBLEBEE, and G.I. Paramount Set to Shutter Comedy Central, MTV, and Paramount Network Streaming Apps

Paramount Global is set to shut down the streaming app versions of three of its key networks: Comedy Central, MTV and Paramount Network.

While they remain live now, a listing on the Apple App Store says the apps will be discontinued. Instead, it directs viewers to watch the shows and films on those networks through their TV provider or on MTV.com.

The apps for other major networks, including Nickelodeon (the Nick App), VH1, and BET, appear to be running, and don’t have the warning of discontinuation on their App Store listing.

No reason was given for the looming discontinuation, but it follows Paramount letting customers know that it was shutting down the Showtime Anytime app on December 14. Paramount and merged Showtime content into its Paramount+ app, so the company could eventually be driving its audiences towards its subscription streaming service.

A spokesperson for Paramount wasn’t immediately available for comment, reports Cord Cutters News.

The Comedy Central, MTV, and Paramount Network are “TV everywhere” apps that allowed you to access their content for free by verifying your pay-TV subscription.

Singtel And Nickelodeon Team Up For Environmental Action With Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles-Themed E-Waste Campaign

In a move to raise awareness about the environmental impact of electronic waste (e-waste) and promote responsible recycling, Singtel has joined forces with Nickelodeon for the “Go Green with the Turtles” campaign. Announced today, the initiative, featuring the iconic Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, aims to encourage the public to recycle their unwanted electronic devices at designated bins in selected Singtel shops.

Running from 1 December 2023 to 29 February 2024, the integrated campaign emphasizes the importance of reducing one’s environmental footprint through proper e-waste disposal. Unwanted electronic devices collected at Singtel shops will be refurbished by Engineering Good, Singtel’s non-profit device circularity partner, and distributed to vulnerable communities, enabling them to embrace the benefits of a digital lifestyle.

Animated Campaign And Eco-Ninja Mission


Accompanying the campaign are animated videos featuring the Turtles, urging viewers to become “eco-ninjas” and join the mission to combat “technotrash.” These videos will be broadcasted on Nickelodeon, English channels on Singtel TV, Singtel TV GO, the CAST app, and both Singtel and Nickelodeon’s social media channels. Additionally, four Singtel shops will have dedicated recycling bins.

For an immersive experience, a booth at the upcoming Singapore Comic Con (9 to 10 December 2023) will allow visitors to meet life-sized versions of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The booth, located at B2-D02 in Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Centre, will host the “Eco-Ninja Training Simulator” where fans can engage in ninja slicing action. Attendees can also donate their used devices at the booth’s bin, redeeming a complimentary six-month subscription of the CAST Learning Plus pack.

Device donation bins, featuring distinctive Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles design elements, are now available at Singtel shops including Comcentre, AMK Hub, Jurong Point, and Tampines Mall. Until 31 December 2023, those donating devices and sharing their contribution on Instagram Stories with #GoGreenWithTheTurtles stand a chance to win a six-month complimentary subscription of the Learning Plus pack from Singtel’s digital app marketplace, CAST.

According to Amber Dodson, New Mexico Film Office director, the live action series has its homebase at The Studios at the Journal Center, which is one of seven newly added locations on the list of Qualified Production Facilities from the New Mexico Film Office.

The space was allocated for productions after the Albuquerque Journal began outsourcing the printing of their paper to fellow, family-owned, local newspaper, The Santa Fe New Mexican.

Season two of The Really Loud House will continue to follow Lincoln Loud, played by Wolfgang Schaeffer and his best friend Clyde, played by Jahzir Bruno, as they go on adventures in Royal Woods while also navigating the chaos of living in a family with 10 sisters.

Playing the real-life versions of the beloved Loud family in the movie, the cast includes Brian Stepanek as Lynn Loud Sr., Jolie Jenkins as Rita Loud, Eva Carlton as Leni Loud, Sophia Woodward as Luna Loud, Catherine Ashmore Bradley as Luan Loud, Annaka Fourneret as Lynn Loud, Aubin Bradley as Lucy Loud, Ella Allan as Lola Loud, Mia Allan as Lana Loud, Lexi Janicek as Lisa Loud, Lexi DiBenedetto as Lori Loud, and August Michael Peterson as Lily Loud.

The new season of The Really Loud House is produced by Tim Hobert, Jonathan Judge and Michael Rubiner.

The Loud House animated series, which the live-action series is based on, debuted on Nickelodeon in May 2016. As one of the longest-running animated series on Nickelodeon with 176 episodes, the property has also been translated into movies, a comic book series continuing to roll out new stories, chapter books, a digital album, live-action series and movies, and a podcast, Listen Out Loud. The Emmy Award-winning animated series is executive produced by Michael Rubiner. Adam Henry serves as supervising producer, Kevin Sullivan serves as co-producer, and Gabrielle Dolbey is art director.

Production for Nickelodeon Studios is overseen by Shauna Phelan and Zack Olin, co-heads of Nickelodeon & Awesomeness Live-Action. Brittany Cope serves as Nickelodeon’s executive in charge of production for the franchise.

According to the New Mexico Film Office, the production has employed approximately 135 New Mexico crew members, 100 New Mexico background talent, and 10 New Mexico principal actors.
