November 20, 2023 - SHOWTIME today announced that its upcoming six-episode thriller THE WOMAN IN THE WALL will premiere on streaming and on demand for Paramount+ subscribers with the Paramount+ with SHOWTIME plan on Friday, January 19, before making its on-air debut on SHOWTIME on Sunday, January 21 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. The series, starring and executive produced by BAFTA(R) and Golden Globe(R) Award winner Ruth Wilson (THE AFFAIR, His Dark Materials) and co-starring BAFTA Award nominee Daryl McCormack (Good Luck to You, Leo Grande, Peaky Blinders), also will premiere on Paramount+ on January 19 in Canada and on January 20 in Latin America, Brazil, South Korea, Italy, France, Germany Switzerland, and Austria.

Created and written by BAFTA Award nominee Joe Murtagh (Calm with Horses), THE WOMAN IN THE WALL centers on Lorna Brady (Wilson), a woman from the small, fictional Irish town of Kilkinure, who wakes one morning to find a corpse in her house. Chillingly, Lorna has no idea who the dead woman is or if she, herself, might be responsible for the apparent murder. That's because Lorna has long suffered from extreme bouts of sleepwalking ever since she was ripped from her life at the age of 15 and incarcerated in The Kilkinure Convent, a (fictional) home to one of Ireland's infamous Magdalene Laundries for women. There, Lorna gave birth to her daughter Agnes, who cruelly was taken from her and whose fate Lorna never has known.

Detective Colman Akande (McCormack) is now also on Lorna's tail for a crime seemingly unrelated to the body she has discovered in her house. His scathing wit hides a quiet sadness, and when he meets Lorna, he finds himself forced to confront his own haunting secrets. As Colman searches for a murderer and Lorna searches for her daughter, their paths collide in ways they never could have anticipated. The series also stars Simon Delaney (The Conjuring 2), Philippa Dunne (The Nevers), Mark Huberman (Band of Brothers), Hilda Fay (Float Like a Butterfly), Frances Tomelty (The Amazing Mrs. Pritchard) and Dermot Crowley (Luther: The Fallen Sun).

November 20, 2023 - SHOWTIME SPORTS announces THE WORLD ACCORDING TO FOOTBALL, a five-part documentary series narrated and executive produced by Trevor Noah. The series focuses on a different country in each episode - Brazil, US, UK, France, and Qatar - and how soccer teams and fans in that country face global issues through the sport. The series tackles women's rights, income inequality, labor rights, mental health, racism, nationalism and LGBTQ+ rights.

THE WORLD ACCORDING TO FOOTBALL episode one will premiere December 1 on SHOWTIME at 8pm ET/PT, with episodes debuting weekly for five weeks. The new video clip highlighs the beginning of a big adventure, and features a musical number in which Baby Shark (Kimiko Glenn) and William (Luke Youngblood) singing about going on an adventure, and being friends no matter what. The first season (26 episodes) of the hit preschool series Baby Shark’s Big Show! is available now to stream on Paramount+. The series launched globally in 2021 across Nickelodeon-branded channels and platforms and is currently in its second season.

'Good Burger 2' Filmmakers Reveal Desire To Make Third 'Good Burger' Movie

Paramount+ is set to delight '90s Nickelodeon fans with Good Burger 2, the highly anticipated sequel to the iconic movie Good Burger, set to premiere on the streaming service on November 22, and it seems like the cast and crew are already making plans for a third movie!

Good Burger 2 will follow Dexter Reed (Kenan Thompson) and original cashier Ed (Kel Mitchell) as they reunite in the present day at fast-food restaurant Good Burger with a hilarious new group of employees. In Good Burger 2, Dexter Reed is down on his luck after another one of his inventions fails. Ed welcomes Dex back to Good Burger with open arms and gives him his old job back. With a new crew working at Good Burger, Dex devises a plan to get back on his feet but unfortunately puts the fate of Good Burger at risk once again.

In addition to Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell, Good Burger 2 also stars Lil Rel Howery (Get Out) as Cecil McNevin, Jillian Bell (Murder Mystery 2) as Katt Boswell, Kamaia Fairburn (Blockbuster) as Mia, Alex R. Hibbert (THE CHI) as Ed2, Fabrizio Guido (Perry Mason) as Mr. Jensen, Elizabeth Hinkler (The Good Doctor) and Emily Hinkler (The Good Doctor) as Cindy and Mindy and Anabel Graetz (Free Guy) as Ruth. The film also will feature surprise celebrity cameos as well as original Good Burger cast members who are reprising their roles: Josh Server as Fizz, Lori Beth Denberg as Connie Muldoon and Carmen Electra as Roxanne.

The first four seasons of the hit Nickelodeon original sketch-comedy series All That and the original 1997 Good Burger comedy film also are now available to stream on Paramount+.

Good Burger 2 is produced by Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell. It was penned by Kevin Kopelow & Heath Seifert (All That, Good Burger), who also serve as executive producers. Johnny Ryan Jr., of Artists for Artists also serves as an executive producer. Phil Traill (The Middle, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Single Drunk Female) directs and serves as executive producer. James III (Tyler Perry’s Young Dylan, All That) also has been engaged as a writer. Production of the movie for Nickelodeon Studios is overseen by Shauna Phelan and Zack Olin, Co-Heads of Nickelodeon & Awesomeness Live-Action. Brittany Cope and Omar Camacho serve as Nickelodeon’s Executives in Charge of Production.

Good Burger 2 Stars and Crew Talk About Good Burger 3

Although a third Good Burger movie has yet to be announced, during the film's recent panel at New York Comic Con 2023 in October, Good Burger's filmmakers expressed their desire to make a third film for a complete Good Burger trilogy. Thompson joked that these are the days with 35 Fast & Furious sequel with Mitchell adding that, “Good Burger is family.”

During a fan Q&A, a fan inquired about the Good Burger 2 Go book sequel published in 1998 and whether the events of the book play into the new movie. The filmmakers revealed that the book is completely separate and its own thing. The panelists however were well aware of its existence as well as the book’s author, Steve Holland, someone they all highly respect.

A fan of the All That sketch “Everyday French with Pierre Escargot” tried to converse with Thompson in French only for Thompson to concede he does not speak French at all.

'Rock Islands Rätsel' und 'Willkommen bei den Louds'

Bei Nickelodeon freuen wir uns auf gleich zwei Free-TV-Premieren im November.

Den Start macht die siebte Staffel von „Willkommen bei den Louds“. Seit 2016 nehmen Lincoln Loud und seine zehn Schwestern die Zuschauer mit in sein trubeliges Zuhause – wie gewohnt mit lustigen Geschichten und verrücktem Familien-Chaos. Denn wenn Lincoln sich nicht gerade mit seinen Geschwistern streitet, erlebt er zusammen mit seinem besten Freund Clyde McBride allerhand Abenteuer in Royal Woods.

Ab 06.11., montags bis freitags 18:50 Uhr.

Außerdem zeigt Nickelodeon die zweite Staffel von „Rock Islands Rätsel“ zum ersten Mail im Free-TV. In der australischen Comedy-Mystery-Serie erforschen die Freunde rund um die 14-jährige Taylor ihre Heimat Rock Island. Sie sind entschlossen, die Geheimnisse und unerklärlichen Ereignissen rund um die Insel aufzudecken. Vor fünf Jahren verschwand Taylors Onkel spurlos. Doch in der ersten Episode erhält sie an ihrem Geburtstag eine geheimnisvolle Truhe von ihm samt einer Uhr, die plötzlich wieder anfängt zu ticken.

NEUE SERIEN UND FOLGEN

Bei Comedy Central laufen gleich mehrere Serien in deutscher Free-TV Premiere. Bereits am 14. Oktober startete die brandneue Serie „Solar Opposites“. Die animierte Science-Fiction-Sitcom stammt von den Machern von „Rick and Morty“ und handelt von einer außerirdischen Familie, die auf der Erde abstürzt und hier festsitzt.

Ab 14.10., sonntags 23:00 Uhr.

Außerdem startet die 13. Staffel „Bob’s Burgers“ als deutsche Free-TV Premiere. Auch in den neuen Episoden von „Bob’s Burgers“ kämpft Ladenbesitzer Bob ums Überleben seiner kläglich laufenden Burger-Bude. Dabei erleben er und seine Familie allerlei skurrile Situationen. Seit 2014 begeistern Bob Belcher, seine Frau Linda und die Kids Gene, Louise und Tina die Zuschauer. Bereits zehn Mal nominierte die Emmy-Jury das Konzept der Serie für einen Preis, 2014 erhielt die Folge „Mazel-Tina“
schließlich eine Auszeichnung.

Ab 05.11., sonntags ab 19:15 Uhr.

Wir freuen uns ebenfalls auf neue Folgen im deutschen Free-TV der Serie „South Park“. Die Animationsserie ist bekannt für ihre Aktualität. Klar, dass die Schöpfer auch die Pandemie auf ihre Art und Weise aufgreifen. In den Episoden „South Park: Post COVID“ und „South Park: Die Rückkehr von COVID“ schreiben wir das Jahr 2061. Können sich Stan, Kyle und Cartman zusammenraufen, um durch die Zeit zu reisen und den Ausbruch des Virus zu verhindern? Und dabei vielleicht sogar Kennys Leben retten? In „South Park: The Streaming Wars Part 1 & 2“ liefern sich Cartman und seine Mom einen Machtkampf, während ein epischer Konflikt South Parks Existenz bedroht.
Ab 12.11., sonntags 22:00 Uhr.

PLUTO TV: NEUE SENDER

Mehrere beliebte Classics starten im November bei Pluto TV, unter anderem „Melrose Place“ ab dem 1. November und 3 Staffeln „Parker Lewis – der coole von der Schule“ ab dem 13. November.

Der Sender hat außerdem unter dem Motto Strong Female Characters vier neue Sender im Gepäck:
„The Outpost“ Staffel 1-4 läuft ab dem 6. November sowie alle Folgen von „Unforgettable“, „Community“ und „V.I.P. – Die Bodyguards“ ab dem 13. November.

In der Kategorie Action & Crime begrüßt Pluto TV drei spannende neue Sender. Auf dem Sender „Pluto TV Knallhart“ findest du alles von Adrenalin über klassische Schenkelklopfer bis hin zu großen Emotionen. Außerdem startet am 1. November der Sender „Unentdeckt – Mörder unter uns“ und ab dem 6. November alle Staffeln von  „Republic of Doyle – Einsatz für Zwei“.
