THE GOLD is inspired by the real-life events that took place on November 26, 1983, when six armed men broke into the Brink’s-Mat security depot near London’s Heathrow Airport and inadvertently stumbled across gold bullion worth £26m. According to detectives, what started as a typical Old Kent Road armed robbery became a seminal event in British criminal history that’s remarkable not only for the scale of the theft – at the time the biggest in world history – but for its wider legacy. The disposal of the bullion caused the birth of large-scale international money laundering; provided the dirty money that helped fuel the London Docklands property boom; united blue- and white-collar criminals; and left controversy and murder in its wake.

Royal Mail today revealed images of 10 Special Stamps being issued to celebrate 65 years of the most beloved marmalade-loving bear – Paddington.

Six stamps in the main set are taken from Ivor Wood’s strip cartoons of Paddington, originally published in the London Evening News newspaper in the late 1970s.

In 1975, illustrator, animator, and writer Ivor Wood was instrumental in transforming Paddington from a beloved literary character into a star of the small screen. Working with animation company, FilmFair, Wood designed and directed the first Paddington television series for the BBC. Four stamps presented in a Miniature Sheet capture moments from this TV series.

David Gold, Director of External Affairs and Policy, Royal Mail, said: “Paddington continues to bring cheer to generations of children worldwide. These delightful stamps will brighten up the day of anyone receiving mail with a touch of Paddington’s charm.”

Rachel Clarke, SVP Licensing and Retail UK at The Copyrights Group, said: “Paddington is a real heritage brand with a modern hero and we are delighted to be partnering with Royal Mail to celebrate 65 years since Michael Bond first introduced us to the beloved bear.”

'Monster High' Series to Make U.K. Free-TV Debut on Pop

The Monster High free TV premiere takes place on Pop in September, after which the series will air on weekdays and be available on the Pop Player.

Mattel’s ‘spooktacular’ animated series, Monster High, will make its UK Free TV premiere exclusively on free-to-air children’s channel Pop, on Monday 4th September. The series made its pay-TV debut on Nickelodeon UK & Ireland in November last year.

The series follows teenager Clawdeen Wolf, who never felt like she fit in – until her instincts led her to Monster High School, where she discovered that she’s both werewolf and human, and now feels at home in both worlds. Along with Draculaura (a vampire who wants to forge her own path as a witch), Frankie Stein (who is figuring out how their pieces fit together), Deuce (the son of Medusa, who’s rebelling by being nice), there’s a school full of modern monster characters. As the teems celebrate being their unique selves, Clawdeen embarks on a series of high school hijinks and teenage troubles.

The exclusive Free TV premiere of Monster High will air on weekdays at 5.30pm from Monday 4th September on Pop. It will also be available to watch on catch-up on the Pop Player. The series comprises 16 episodes x 11 mins.

Following the success of Monster High on Nickelodeon channels globally, a second season has been announced.

Originally created in 2010, the Monster High brand, which spanned dolls, content and franchise products, has always advocated for the creation of a more accepting world where everyone feels proud to be their authentic self and let their inner monster shine. Monster High returned in 2022, reimagined with a new set of characters that embrace what makes them unique and rally people everywhere to be themselves, be unique and be a monster.

This January, a new line of Monster High dolls and play sets hit the shelves. The new dolls reflect contemporary trends with more vibrant colours, and the brand is also allowing for even more storytelling opportunities by representing a wide array of body shapes and styles. Two play sets in the range have been designed to inspire storytelling.

CAMP Launches 'PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie' Experience at Columbus Circle

Paramount Pictures, Nickelodeon Movies and Spin Master Entertainment have announced that PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie has inspired a new immersive adventure at CAMP, The Family Experience Company.

Produced by Spin Master Ent., the experience opens at CAMP’s Columbus Circle location on September 9. Limited tickets are available at camp.com/the-paw-patrol-experience.

Families will step through CAMP’s Magic Door, this time in the shape of a PAW Patroller vehicle, and explore a 5,500 square-foot world inspired by the new film and created in collaboration with Paramount. PAW Patrol and CAMP fans will have the opportunity to engage with their favorite pups, play out action-packed missions and celebrate the larger-than-life movie:

• Train to become a member of The Junior Patrollers!
• Search for missing Meteor Crystals
• Put out fires just like Marshall
• Build a skyscraper (and knock it down) just like Rubble
• Put the pedal to the metal on Chase’s Roadway
• Soar like Skye on a zipline over Adventure City

PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie synopsis: When a magical meteor crash lands in Adventure City, it gives the PAW Patrol pups superpowers, transforming them into The Mighty PUps! But things take a turn for the worse when the pups’ archrival Humdinger breaks out of jail and teams up with Victoria Vance, a meteor-obsessed mad scientist, to steal the superpowers and turn themselves into supervillains. ‘PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie’ Tunes Up with Tracks from Christina Aguilera, Mckenna Grace, and Bryson Tiller

Get ready to Pup Up The Volume!

Paramount Pictures, Nickelodeon Movies and Spin Master Entertainment have announced a paw-some lineup of original songs for PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie, in theaters September 29. The new tunes include:

• “Learning To Fly” by Grammy Award-winning artist Christina Aguilera, to be released by RCA Records on September 22.
• “Down Like That” by Grammy Award-nominated performer Bryson Tiller, to be released by Trapsoul/RCA Records on September 8.
• “Bark to the Beat” by actor and singer Mckenna Grace, who also lends her voice to the character of Skye in the film, the PAW Patrol’s high-flying pup. “Bark to the Beat” features multi-platinum artist blackbear and will be released by Photo Finish Records on September 15.

Here's the film's official synopsis:

"When a magical meteor crash lands in Adventure City, it gives the PAW Patrol pups superpowers, transforming them into The MIGHTY PUPS! For Skye, the smallest member of the team, her new powers are a dream come true. PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie boasts a star-studded line up of world class voice talent, including Taraji P. Henson,  Kristen Bell, Christian Convery, Mckenna Grace, Finn Lee-Epp, Lil Rel Howery, James Marsden, and Serena Williams join returning cast members Kim Kardashian, Marsai Martin, and Ron Pardo delivering the excitement for the pups second big screen debut.

Mckenna previously lent her vocals to the Ghostbusters: Afterlife soundtrack, the Ghostbusters movie in which the actor also starred in, performing the track "Haunted House" during the film's closing titles. Mckenna is set to reprise her Afterlife role of Phoebe Spengler in the upcoming Ghostbusters: Firehouse, currently set for release during Easter 2024.

Content Creator Ossy Marwah Will Co-Host The Biggest Party For Kids, On Saturday, September 16th, At Yas Island’s Etihad Arena.

Paramount and the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) today announced the first performers of the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards Abu Dhabi 2023, taking place on Saturday, 16 September at Etihad Arena. The global award-winning group Now United, Palestinian-Chilean singer-songwriter and composer Elyanna, top Saudi artist Bader Al-Shuaibi and Jordanian singer-songwriter Issam Alnajjar are the first names announced to take the stage at the biggest and slimiest party of the year for families.

Taking place at Yas Island’s Etihad Arena, the 2023 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards Abu Dhabi will also feature social media star and content creator Ossy Marwah as co-host of a party packed with family fun, unexpected moments, and more surprises than ever!  The event that’s loved by kids around the world will feature a great lineup of talented artists who are sure to bring a fun-packed entertainment show for kids and families across the region, with more talent being revealed in the coming weeks.

Internet sensation Osama ‘Ossy’ Marwah, who will co-host the event, said: “Growing up, I watched all my favorite stars take this very stage! I cannot wait to make this KCA the best one yet!”.

Saudi pop artist Bader Al-Shuabi started his career at a young age, in 2002. He gained fame in the GCC and the Arab world with his distinguished and different art. Always keen to reach all audiences, he made it to the top as a global pop star, his face appearing on a billboard in New York’s Times Square to mark his collaboration with K-Pop star Alexa.

Jordanian singer-songwriter Issam Alnajjar first began his musical career by posting videos on social media. His debut single “Hadal Ahbek” went viral, leading to the young artist being the first person signed to Universal Arabic Music. Today, the young sensation continues to amass millions of streams with his impressive vocals, relatable lyrics, and acoustic tunes.

Osama Marwah, known as Ossy, is a Syrian-Canadian content creator known for his light-hearted and funny videos that often also involve his friends and family. Ossy has amassed over 12 million followers across all platforms, making him one of the region’s top YouTube stars.
