Just last week we got confirmation of Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 following weeks of rumors about a sequel, along with a number of leaked images.

We learned about some of the characters in Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 from the official reveal, but now another leak, reportedly by Amazon, has surfaced showing even more familiar faces.

As long as you don’t mind some potential spoilers, scroll below to see who could be joining Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2. Bear in mind, however, that it's currently unconfirmed that this image is legit.

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 lets you duke it out with the series’ biggest and best fighting character roster yet, including all-new characters like Squidward Tentacles, Jimmy Neutron, and more to be announced. Choose your favorite brawlers, master their unique move sets, and use brand-new powerful Supers to land the finishing blow. Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 will launch with its own single-player campaign featuring roguelike elements, voice acting for all playable characters, and full crossplay on all game systems.

Hasbro to Sell eOne Film & TV Business to Lionsgate

Hasbro Retains Entertainment for Priority Brands, Aligned with Strategy

PAWTUCKET, R.I.--August 03, 2023--Hasbro, Inc. (NASDAQ:HAS) a leading toy and game company, today announced that it has reached a definitive agreement to sell its eOne film and TV business to Lionsgate for approximately $500 million, consisting of $375 million in cash, subject to certain purchase price adjustments, and the assumption by Lionsgate of production financing loans. The transaction has been approved by both companies’ Boards of Directors and remains subject to customary closing conditions, including the receipt of regulatory approvals. Hasbro will use the proceeds to retire a minimum of $400 million of floating rate debt by the end of the year, and for other general corporate purposes. The transaction is expected to close by the end of 2023.

The sale will include a talented team of employees, a content library of nearly 6,500 titles, active productions for non-Hasbro owned IP like The Rookie, Yellowjackets and Naked and Afraid franchises, and the eOne unscripted business, which will include rights for certain Hasbro-based shows like Play-Doh Squished. The eOne film and TV business being sold also includes Hasbro’s interest in the Canadian film & TV operations of Entertainment One Canada Limited, and the transaction has also been approved by Entertainment One Canada Limited’s Board of Directors.

Today’s announcement is the culmination of a rigorous sale process in connection with Hasbro’s recent strategic review and represents a significant milestone in Hasbro’s commitment to executing its Blueprint 2.0 strategy, which at its core is about significantly increasing investment in Hasbro’s priority brands. In addition to Hasbro’s animation efforts that include Peppa Pig, Transformers: EarthSpark, and My Little Pony: Tell Your Tale, the company will retain a focused team of creative development and business affairs experts to shepherd the 30+ Hasbro-based projects in development, working with the best studios and distribution platforms in Hollywood, including ongoing development of the TRANSFORMERS and GI JOE franchises, PLAY-DOH, D&D, MAGIC: THE GATHERING and Hasbro’s board game portfolio.

“This sale fully aligns with our strategy, and we are pleased to bring the process to a successful close,” said Hasbro CEO Chris Cocks. “Lionsgate’s management team is experienced in entertainment and adept at driving value, and we’re glad to have found such a good home for our eOne film & TV business. We look forward to partnering with them, especially on a movie adaptation of Monopoly.”

Mr. Cocks continued: “Entertainment remains a priority for Hasbro. Hasbro will continue to develop and produce entertainment based on the rich vault of Hasbro-owned brands. As part of the sale, we expect to move to an asset-lite model for future live action entertainment, relying on licensing and partnerships with select co-productions.”

NickWatch, Nickelodeon's New Connected Smartwatch For Kids, Launches at Argos

Launching in Argos: NickWatch, the new connected smartwatch for kids

LONDON, Aug. 1, 2023 -- NickWatch, a new connected smartwatch under license agreement with the popular kids' brand Nickelodeon, is now available at Argos for kids aged six to nine. Offering a wealth of entertainment based on Nickelodeon's iconic characters, the brand new NickWatch features games, dances, crafts, music, safe connectivity, communication and customisation, all in the one must-have accessory for kids.

Available from 1st August 2023 nationwide at Argos stores, NickWatch has been developed by the team at Watchinu and will be operated via a licensee agreement with Paramount Global, Nickelodeon's parent company. The watch will be available to purchase in Currys stores later this month.

The watch is retailing at £159.99 for the bundle of both the watch and a one-year subscription to the 'NickWatch Caretaker App' (other options available). The NickWatch allows parents to monitor their child's use and most importantly, keep track of their child's location via the app. The watch and its features can be used for roaming globally, at no extra cost.

The Caretaker App gives parents and caregivers peace of mind when away from their children. Adults can use the app to message, call and manage the user account on the watch. This includes muting the device during school hours and choosing who communicate with their child – children can't override the actions taken either. Social media platforms are not accessible from the watch.

With eight key features providing an explorative environment for children, NickWatch helps to spark intuitive, physical, social and roleplay – truly letting imaginations run wild.

'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem' Earns 'A' CinemaScore Rating

Jeff Rowe’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem has just been released in theaters by Paramount Pictures and it is already making “mayhem” in the entertainment industry. Taking the already iconic franchise to the next level, Mutant Mayhem boasts an incredible cast including, Jackie Chan, John Cena, and Ice Cube.

Since Mutant Mayhem is a reboot of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise, there was some speculation about whether the animated film will be a hit or a miss. And if its reviews, Rotten Tomatoes score, and the CinemaScore is any indication, the film is definitely a big hit.

While Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem is expected to gross around $30-40 million in the first five days of its release, the reviews make it seem that it won’t be difficult to reach those figures. As per CinemaScore’s expertise, the organization awarded the film with an ‘A’ rating. This also marks the highest rating given by CinemaScore to a TMNT film.

On the other hand, another leading website, Rotten Tomatoes, has given the film a score of a whopping 94%. The consensus praises Mutant Mayhem’s “unique visual style” as well as the gripping storyline. It adds, “TMNT: Mutant Mayhem is an animated treat for the whole family.”

It looks like Paramount Pictures might have found their answer to Sony’s Spider-Verse franchise. The TMNT reboot follows a similar structure to that of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse with its animation style and fluid movements.

‘Transformers,’ ‘Zoey 102’ Fuel Big Streaming Week for Paramount+

The streamer has been emphasizing its movie library recently, drawing in more subscribers

Two completely different movies just spurred a huge streaming weekend for Paramount+.

According to Whip Media’s weekly movie ranker, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts was the most-streamed movie in the U.S. last weekend. Whip Media’s ranker is based on viewership data from TV Time, its TV and movie tracking app with more than 26 million global registered users. 

Beasts took the top spot immediately after making its Paramount+ debut on July 25. But its streaming success wasn’t necessarily a sure thing. 

The new Transformers movie, directed by Steven Caple Jr. and starring Anthony Ramos and Dominique Fishback, pulled in about $430 million at the box office. That’s a lot of money, to be sure, but it’s also the smallest amount made out of any of the franchise’s seven installments. Its finish atop Whip Media’s ranker marked the first time since early June that Paramount+ had the most-streamed movie in the U.S. 

The service also grabbed the silver medal for the week, thanks to Zoey 102. The new rom-com is a spin-off of the popular ‘00s Nickelodeon series Zoey 101 and once again stars Jamie Lynn Spears as Zoey Brooks, who’s now a TV producer in her early 30s. 

When her best friend asks her to be the maid of honor at her wedding — which also happens to coincide with the season finale of the big reality show she works on — Zoey is forced to confront her former flame Chase (Sean Flynn), who is also a member of the wedding party. Hilarity and romance ensue — and Zoey fans were clearly intrigued, considering the movie was the second most-streamed flick of the week. 

Top streaming movies, July 28-30, 2023, U.S. (Whip Media)

The big weekend for Paramount+ comes right before its parent company is set to report earnings Monday. Back in May, Paramount reported its linchpin streaming service had 60 million subscribers at the end of March. The streamer, which used to mostly draw viewers for series, has been steadily building its movie library to broaden its appeal.

From there, the weekly ranker was dominated by Netflix, which grabbed six of the top 10 spots. The best performer for Netflix last weekend was They Cloned Tyrone, the new sci-fi film starring John Boyega, Teyonah Parris and Jamie Foxx as an unlikely trio who stumble onto a shady government conspiracy. Boyega, who played multiple roles for the first time in his career, recently said the movie allowed him to get into his “serious Eddie Murphy bag” — something he enjoyed quite a bit. Following They Cloned Tyrone in fourth place is Miraculous Ladybug & Cat Noir: The Movie.

Apple TV+ also cracked the top 10 thanks to The Beanie Bubble, its new movie looking at the Beanie Babies fluffy toy craze of the late ’90s. The comedy is based on writer Zac Bissonnette’s book on the topic and stars Zach Galifianakis, Elizabeth Banks and Geraldine Viswanathan, as well as Sarah Snook fresh off her run on Succession. The movie, which landed in the seventh spot for the week, comes as Apple looks to keep its recent streaming momentum rolling along.

Disney+ landed the eighth spot on the ranker with Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, which has been a consistent performer since it hit the service in May.

Julie Chen Moonves hosts the reality hit series, which welcomes an all-new group of Houseguests, who are ready for more competitions, eliminations and so much House drama.

Never miss a moment of the drama, thanks to the Big Brother 25 Live Feeds, now streaming on Paramount+. Watch all the Houseguests in real time, as they clash, scheme and solidify alliances!

 

Big Brother follows a group of people living together in a house outfitted with 94 HD cameras and 113 microphones recording their every move 24 hours a day. Each week, someone will be voted out of the house, with the last remaining Houseguest receiving the grand prize of $750,000. Fans can watch the 24/7 live feed from inside house plus get exclusive content on Paramount+.

The reality show airs three episodes each week on CBS beginning Sunday, Aug. 6. Episodes will air 8-9 p.m. Sundays and Wednesdays and 9-10 p.m. Thursdays. The Thursday episodes feature the live eviction.

“This season’s cast includes a Deaflympics gold medalist, brand strategist, exterminator, geriatric physician, professional flutist, political consultant and a DJ from Australia, among others. This new group is in for a summer to remember, full of jaw-dropping moments and twists that will send the Houseguests spiraling into another universe,” CBS said.

CBS also said that “Big Brother legends Frankie Grande, Britney Haynes and Danielle Reyes ‘broke into’ the Big Brother house and unwittingly unleashed the season 25 twist. Cameras captured the ‘break-in’ and the moment the three BB alums, who all famously lost their seasons, rolled a ‘Time Laser’ into the house.

The incident has revealed their plan was to go back in time and change the outcome of their seasons. But something went horribly wrong, and they unleashed the Big Brother season 25 twist that will be fully revealed” during the first episode on Aug. 2.

The season 25 houseguests are:

• America Lopez, 27, a medical receptionist from Texas who lives in Brooklyn, New York
• Blue Kim, 25, a brand strategist from California who lives in New York, New York
• Bowie Jane, 45, a barrister/DJ from Australia who lives in Los Angeles, California
• Cameron Hardin, 34, a stay-at-home dad of Eastman, Georgia
• Cory Wurtenberger, 21, a college student from Weston, Florida
• Felicia Cannon, 63, a real estate agent from Washington who lives in Kennesaw, Georgia
• Hisam Goueli, 45, a geriatric physician from Minnesota who lives in Seattle, Washington
• Izzy Gleicher, 32, a professional flutist from New York, New York
• Jag Bains, 25, a truck company owner from Omak, Washington
• Jared Fields, 25, an exterminator from Norwalk, Connecticut
• Kirsten Elwin, 25, a molecular biologist from Florida who lives in Houston, Texas
• Luke Valentine, 30, an illustrator from Weston, Florida, who lives in Coral Springs, Florida
• Matt Klotz, 27, a Deaflympics gold medalist from California who lives in Baton Rouge, Louisiana
• Mecole Hayes, 30, a political consultant from Missouri who lives in Upper Marlboro, Maryland
• Red Utley, 37, who works in sales, from Gatlinburg, Tennessee
• Reilly Smedley, 24, a bartender from Maine who lives in Nashville, Tennessee
