It’s a big month for TV fans as there's plenty of new shows and new episodes of current hits on the way. Whilst those looking for some family-friendly action adventure for when the kids finish school will be ecstatic to hear the latest Transformers movie, Rise of the Beasts begins streaming on December 8. Paramount+ subscribers will also get front-row seats to a new Simple Minds documentary.

NEW ADDITIONS
1st December - The Doll Factory: Season 1
New series | Episodes 1 and 2 arrive together, followed by episodes weekly
The Doll Factory is a brand new UK original period thriller adapted from the bestselling novel of the same name by Elizabeth Macneal. The six-part series follows the life of Iris, who paints dolls for a living alongside her twin sister. Iris then meets two men, Silas and Louis, where their lives become intertwined. As the series unfolds, dark, chilling truths are exposed. Set during Victorian times, this is a tale of obsession. The Doll Factory stars Esmé Creed-Miles (Hanna), Mirren Mack (Sex Education), Eanna Hardwicke (Normal People), Saorise-Monica Jackson (Derry Girls), and George Webster (Versailles).
Synopsis:
“Iris paints dolls for a living alongside her twin sister, Rose, and dreams of becoming an artist and by night secretly paints herself naked. Silas is a taxidermist who owns a shop filled with his creations. He dreams of one day finding an item so unique he will be catapulted to fame. Louis is a painter and member of the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood, searching for his next muse. When Iris meets Silas, and then Louis, she is offered an opportunity to escape and start a new life. 8th December - Transformers: Rise of the Beasts (2023)
New movie
Set seven years after the events of Bumblebee, this latest instalment in the franchise takes place in 1994 and follows Noah, an electronics expert, and Elena, an artefact researcher, who find themselves caught in the middle of the Ancient War between the various Transformer factions. These include the Maximals, descendants of the Autobots that can transform into mechanised beasts. Starring Anthony Ramos and Dominique Fishback.

"Returning to the action and spectacle that have captured moviegoers around the world, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts will take audiences on a ‘90s globetrotting adventure with the Autobots and introduce a whole new breed of Transformer – the Maximals – to the existing battle on earth between Autobots and Decepticons. 9th December - Baby Shark's Big Movie
In Baby Shark's Big Movie Baby Shark is forced to leave behind the world he loves after his family’s move to the big city and must adjust to his new life without his best friend William. When Baby Shark encounters an evil pop starfish named Stariana, who plans to steal his gift of song in order to dominate all underwater music, he must break her spell to restore harmony to the seas.
Baby Shark's Big Movie features a jaw-some lineup of guest voice actors, including: actress, singer and producer Ashley Tisdale (Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Candace Against the Universe, High School Musical) as Stariana, a sharp-witted and manipulative, rising pop starfish who wants to take center stage with a splash hit; Aparna Nancherla (Mira, Royal Detective) as Gillie, a charmingly chaotic, bumbling boxfish and Stariana’s assistant; Ego Nwodim (Saturday Night Live) as Leah, a lantern shark and Mommy Shark’s best friend from college; Chloe Fineman (Saturday Night Live, Father of the Bride) as Lannie, Leah’s hyper, lovable daughter; ENHYPEN as an underwater powerhouse K-pop band of belugas; and Lance Bass as TV announcer Lance Bass.
The new voice actors join the swim-sational lineup of series regulars from Baby Shark’s Big Show!, including: Kimiko Glenn (Orange Is the New Black) as Baby Shark; Luke Youngblood (Glitch Techs, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone) as William; Natasha Rothwell (Insecure) as Mommy Shark; Eric Edelstein (We Bare Bears) as Daddy Shark; Debra Wilson (MADtv) as Grandma Shark; and Patrick Warburton (Family Guy, Seinfeld) as Grandpa Shark. The film also features returning guest star Grammy®-winning, multi-platinum superstar Cardi B as rap icon Sharki B and her family: Offset as Offshark; Kulture as Kulture Sharki; and newcomer Wave as Wavey Shark.
11th December - All Star Shore – Seasons 1-2

15th December - The Serial Killer’s Wife
New series | box set drop
Based on the bestselling novel by Alice Hunter, this suspense-packed series stars Annabel Scholey as a woman whose world falls apart when her husband is arrested for murder. Jack Farthing and Luke Treadaway also star in this gripping thriller.
Here’s the synopsis:
“Set in an idyllic English town, Beth Fairchild has prepared a surprise birthday party for her husband Tom. With most of the village present, as Tom is the beloved local doctor, Beth’s world is turned upside down when the party is interrupted by the police, and Tom is arrested for murder. 16th December - Finestkind (2023)
New series
Finestkind tells the story of two brothers (Ben Foster & Toby Wallace), raised in different worlds, who are reunited as adults over a fateful summer. Set against the backdrop of commercial fishing, the story takes on primal stakes when desperate circumstances force the brothers to strike a deal with a violent Boston crime gang. Along the way, a young woman (Jenna Ortega) finds herself caught perilously in the middle. Sacrifices must be made and bonds between brothers, friends, lovers, and a father (Tommy Lee Jones) and his son are put to the ultimate test.
22nd December - Simple Minds: Everything Is Possible
New documentary
Featuring interviews with members of Simple Minds as well as fellow musicians and album producers, this new documentary sheds light on the Scottish band that gave us such hits as "Don’t You (Forget About Me)", "Alive and Kicking", and "Changeling".
26th December - The Castaways – Season 1
New show | box set drop
Based on the novel by Lucy Clarke, this new thriller series follows sisters Lori and Erin whose holiday of a lifetime turns into a nightmare when one of them boards a plane that doesn’t arrive at its destination.
