The mysterious multiplayer game that rips friendships apart will get the animated series adaptation treatment with Infinity Train creator Owen Dennis executive producing.
Ready to identify the imposter? Among Us, the beloved multiplayer mystery game that tests friendships, is getting an animated series adaptation at CBS Studios via CBS Eye Animation Productions, in partnership with Innersloth, the game’s studio. Serving as creator and executive producer on the series is Owen Dennis (Infinity Train).
Per the official logline, the series draws from the plot of the video game, stating “Members of your crew have been replaced by an alien shapeshifter intent on causing confusion, sabotaging the ship, and killing everyone. Root out the ‘Impostor’ or fall victim to its murderous designs.”
Originally released in 2018, Among Us surged in popularity in 2020, when friends could come together during the COVID-19 quarantine to confuse and betray each other in a lighthearted environment.
Titmouse (Big Mouth, Star Trek: Lower Decks) will serve as the animation studio for the series. Forest Willard, Marcus Bromander, and Carl Neisser of Innersloth join Dennis as executive producers, alongside Chris Prynoski, Shannon Prynoski, Antonio Canobbio, and Ben Kalina of Titmouse. No network or streamer is currently attached.
