Sky Kids in the U.K. has announced Pip and Posy Let’s Learn, a brand new spin-off series from Milkshake and Nick Jr. UK & Ireland's hit animated preschool series, Pip and Posy, based on books by Gruffalo-illustrator Axel Scheffler.
In Pip and Posy Let’s Learn, viewers will play with Pip, Posy and their friends as they use their amazing sense of fun, imagination and rhyme to explore a range of subjects. The series aims to teach concepts from the early years curriculum, such as shape sorting and simple maths, in exciting and inventive ways.
Targeted towards children aged 3+, Pip and Posy Let’s Learn (26x5”) was commissioned by Lucy Murphy, Director of Sky Kids and Director of Kids Content at Sky UK. The Commissioning Editor for Sky is Estelle Hughes. The series is produced by Magic Light Pictures; Vici King is the Producer. The show is expected to launch on Sky Kids UK in October 2023.
“With beloved characters Pip and Posy looking at early educational concepts in their joyful way, as well as the innovative new [ASMR] format of Look, See, Wow! which explores the world in a sensory way, these new shows for our youngest viewers and their families will bring a sense of wonder and delight to learning,” said Murphy.
It's currently unknown whether Pip and Posy Let’s Learn will also air on Milkshake! and/or Nick Jr. UK & Eire.
Pip and Posy launched to acclaim in March 2021, and is the first joint co-production between Paramount, the parent company of Milkshake! and Nick Jr., and Sky.
