Reebok announces its third Reebok x Peppa Pig kids-only collection based on the popular preschool brand from Hasbro, Inc., a global branded entertainment leader. This comes on the heels of the first two previous Reebok x Peppa Pig collections that debuted in 2021.

This Reebok x Peppa Pig collection was created to honor Peppa and what she loves most – her family and friends. The collection features five of Reebok’s most beloved kids’ silhouettes, each of which spotlights someone, or something, close to her.

Highlights of the footwear include:

  • Classic Leather ($50, $65) – A faux fur lining and pink details make this Classic Leather instantly recognizable as a shoe designed for Peppa’s best friend, Suzy Sheep. The woven label features a nod to Suzy’s favorite toy owl with an owl graphic peeking out of the window box. Available in infant and preschool sizing.
  • Club C ($50) – The iconic court classic Club C embodies one of Peppa’s school friends, Candy Cat. The shoe carries all the characteristics of Candy with a “touch and feel” tail on the lateral side, a nose and whiskers on the toe, and a green lining for Candy’s signature outfit. Available in infant sizing.
  • Zig Dynamica ($60) – This bright pink sneaker with a bubbles-inspired side stripe and cross check pays tribute to Peppa herself. The left shoe features a decal of Teddy, Peppa’s favorite stuffed animal, while a pair of Peppa’s iconic yellow rainboots is highlighted on the right. Available in preschool sizing.
  • CL Jogger ($45) – Danny Dog comes to life on this version of the CL Jogger through the faux ears and tongue that are added to the upper. SkyShowtime announces official launch dates for Central & Eastern Europe


SkyShowtime—the next great streaming service for Europe— hosted an exclusive launch event in Amsterdam on 3rd November, attended by international celebrities and service leaders.

Making an on-stage announcement, SkyShowtime CEO Monty Sarhan revealed that the service will launch in December in a number of Central & Eastern European territories later this year. SkyShowtime’s premium offering of exclusive and iconic entertainment will be available in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Kosovo, Montenegro, Serbia and Slovenia on 14 December. It will then expand into Albania, Czech Republic, Hungary, North Macedonia, Poland, Romania, and Slovakia in February 2023.

Bringing together the best entertainment from the world’s greatest studios and storytellers, SkyShowtime features thousands of hours of quality entertainment for the whole family. The service will be home to a wide selection of the world’s most highly anticipated series and movies.   

SkyShowtime CEO Monty Sarhan said: “SkyShowtime was created for Europe and we are thrilled to tell customers across Central & Eastern Europe that it’s almost time for SkyShowtime. SkyShowtime will feature blockbuster film premieres, new premium scripted series, kids and family content, and a curated selection of library titles and box sets from Universal Pictures, Paramount Pictures, Nickelodeon, DreamWorks Animation, Paramount+, SHOWTIME, Sky Studios, and Peacock – all streaming in one place. SkyShowtime will also feature local original programming, documentaries, and specials.

SkyShowtime first launched in Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden on 20 September this year, before expanding into the Netherlands and Portugal on 25 October. Following its upcoming launches across Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Kosovo, Montenegro, Serbia, and Slovenia in December, SkyShowtime will continue its roll out across Spain, Andorra, and Central & Eastern Europe through Q1 2023.  

Further details on programming and pricing for Central & Eastern Europe will be announced in advance of SkyShowtime’s launch on 14 December.

Paramount May Raise Paramount+ Subscription Prices

Paramount chief financial officer Naveen Chopra said on an earnings call on Wednesday (Nov. 2) that the company sees “opportunities to increase price on Paramount+” and that we’ll see it “do that in the future,”  The Verge reports.


Chopra noted that Paramount+ has some flexibility in how it increases prices, thanks to it having a couple of subscription tiers, notes Digital Trends. The “Essential” plan costs $5 a month or $50 a year and has advertising on its on-demand content, but lacks a feed to your local CBS affiliate, and doesn’t come with 4K resolution or the ability to download offline content. There’s also a $10-a-month ($100-a-year) “Premium” plan that eschews most ads in on-demand content and does include CBS.

“Of course, we’ll be smart about how and when we raise price,” Chopra continued, “Because we’ll be looking to do it in ways that minimize any sort of negative churn impact. And that means that we’ll definitely take advantage of our dual-tier offering, which allows us to adjust pricing on each tier independently, and means that the Essential tier can continue to serve price-sensitive users while still generating compelling levels of [average revenue per user] through ad monetization.”

The price increase also will be done with content in mind, Chopra said. And Paramount+ has a lot of popular shows to work with. The second season of Mayor of Kingstown kicks off on January 15. Yellowstone spinoff 1923 lands on December 18. Star Trek: Picard begins its final season on February 16, 2023, and new seasons of Star Trek: Discovery and Strange New Worlds are on the way.

If the service does end up raising its price in the US, it won’t be alone. Apple TV Plus just increased its price from $4.99 to $6.99 per month, while Hulu went up from $6.99 to $7.99 per month for its ad-supported plan and jumped from $12.99 to $14.99 per month for its ad-free plan.

Netflix raised prices earlier this year ahead of the launch of its new $6.99 per month ad-supported plan, while Disney+ and ESPN+ had recent price hikes as well.

“I think it’s fair to say that pricing is moving higher across the industry — you see that with a number of competing services,” Chopra explains. “We think that means we have room to increase price.” Chopra also hinted at increasing prices by tier while allowing the ad-supported plan to “continue to serve price-sensitive users.” Paramount recently raised the price of its commercial-free plan from $5.99 CAD to $9.99 CAD per month in Canada.

Outside of a potential price increase, Paramount’s earnings report revealed its Plus streaming service added 4.6 million subscribers this quarter, bringing its total global subscribers to 46 million.

Meanwhile, Paramount’s free streaming platform Pluto TV saw some growth, too. The streaming service grew to 72 million monthly active users globally and saw a “double-digit” increase in viewing hours. Paramount says Pluto TV also became the first free, ad-supported service to “represent a significant enough portion of TV viewing” to be featured in Nielsen’s monthly TV viewing Gauge report.

Paramount Plus says it lost 1.9 million global subscribers as part of the launch of SkyShowtime in the Nordics that replaced the streaming service in the region, but the launch of the service in France, Germany, Austria, and Switzerland on December 8th should offset this next quarter.

Paramount Plus links the overall increase in subscribers to its growing library of content, which includes popular series like Halo and Yellowstone. It also credits some of the NFL games it airs through CBS, as well as the UEFA soccer games it offers on the platform.

Going forward, Paramount expects the addition of Top Gun: Maverick to its streaming service later this year to be a “driver of subscribers” as well. The company also launched a partnership with Walmart in September that gives Walmart+ subscribers free access to the ad-supported Paramount Plus plan. Paramount CEO Bob Bakish says the partnership is “off to an excellent start” so far.

Chopra didn’t offer any specifics on when the price increases might take effect, but it could be fairly soon, notes The Streamable. Paramount clearly sees the ground as already having been prepared for a price hike thanks to Apple and Disney, so your streaming bill might see another increase in the not-so-distant future.

Paramount Eyes 'Meaningful And Sizable' Cost Cuts, With Possible Restructuring Charge In 4Q22

Paramount Global is planning for “meaningful and sizeable” cost cuts in the coming months as it looks to balance streaming investments with declining pay-TV operations, Deadline reports.


CFO Naveen Chopra also said there was the possibility of a restructuring charge landing in the fourth quarter, as Paramount wrestles with the global downturn in the ad market and a turbulent global economy. Chopra and CEO Bob Bakish, speaking during a conference call with analysts after the company posted weaker-than-expected financial results for the third quarter, did not offer any specific estimate of the extent of the reductions.

Bakish said Paramount is contending with “a complex environment and economic period.” In response, he said, the company is “taking aggressive, precise actions to gain additional efficiency across our cable networks, streaming platforms, advertising sales, marketing and global operations. These will yield cost savings next year, as well as long-term strategic benefits. We’re taking advantage of the current market to accelerate these efforts.”

Chopra said the benefits from the expense savings would largely manifest in 2023 and be a mix of “labor and non-labor.” The moves “not only have an economic benefit to us, but frankly help put us where we want to be strategically, both in terms of how we operate and where we want to put out resources,” he added.

Showtime is an area of focus for Paramount’s restructuring initiative. In recent weeks, after the exit of the premium network’s longtime leader David Nevins, other personnel moves have reflected the larger decision to bundle Showtime’s streaming service with Paramount+.

“This next chapter of Showtime is going to be particularly compelling,” Bakish said. “We have a set of in-process organizational moves that will see Showtime benefit from further integration with the rest of the company. It’ll potentially introduce new ways to create incremental value both with consumers and for distributors. It’s going to unlock some significant cost synergies.”

Bakish noted the TV ad market was holding up better than the digital ad market and said CBS’ upfront base focused on volume allowed it to navigate a softening environment. He claimed that and the “proven effectiveness” of TV advertising were the driving factors, despite the “supply pool … not getting any bigger.”

He said a “demand-constrained market” was working “against the digital side.”

Later in the call, Bakish welcomed Netflix’s entry into the advertising business with the launch of its new low-cost option, saying “new entrants going into ad-supported streaming validates what we’ve said.”

Paramount+ Australia has released the official trailer for its upcoming original family sports comedy – Fantasy Football. Packed with heart and hysterical hijinks, the film will be available to stream on Paramount+ Australia on Saturday, 26 November.

Ava Max, Bebe Rexha, David Guetta, Gorillaz, Lewis Capaldi and Muse were recently announced to be the first round of global superstars set to perform at the “MTV EMAs” 2022, hosted by Rita Ora and Taika Waititi. 

Harry Styles leads nominations with seven nods, including for “Best Artist,” “Best Song” and “Best Video.” Taylor Swift follows closely with six nominations including for “Best Artist,” “Best Pop,” and new EMA category, “Best Longform Video.” Nicki Minaj and ROSALÍA each earned five noms including for “Best Song” and “Best Artist.” Fans can vote for their favorites across 17 gender-neutral categories, including “Best Song,” “Best Artist,” “Best Collaboration,” and two all-new categories “Best Longform Video” and “Best Metaverse Performance,” at http://www.mtvema.com until November 9th, at 11:59 pm CET. This year also sees 17 first-time nominees, including Chencho Corleone (2), GAYLE (2), and Stephen Sanchez (2), plus first nominations for Dove Cameron, Doechii, Baby Keem, Kim Petras, Mae Muller, Saucy Santana, Shenseea, Summer Walker, Wet Leg and more.

Those who are curious about what the future holds will be treated to the third season of “STAR TREK: DISCOVERY,” which will premiere on 25th November. As the crew of the U.S.S. Discovery ventures further into space in the third season, they find themselves landing in an unknown future after entering the wormhole in the second season finale. Although all life has been saved from the evil A.I. “Control”, they learn that an event called "The Burn", destroys most of the galaxy's dilutetium (the element used by star ships to travel at warp speeds), destroying many star ships including most of Starfleet, leaving the galaxy disconnected, and no longer governed by the United Federation of Planets. The crew goes on a mission to find the cause of “The Burn” and rebuild the Federation.

Paramount+ will also bring a range of exciting movies, including “CAST AWAY” and “THE TALENTED MR. RIPLEY,” and fun holiday movies such as “MIRACLES ACROSS 125th STREET” and “HOT MESS HOLIDAY.”

Nickelodeon's channels will offer a wide range of animated and live-action shows, designed especially for kids, as well as exclusive shows featuring their favourite characters.

The brand-new original animated series “TRANSFORMERS: EARTHSPARK,” will premiere on Nickelodeon on 27th November, introducing a new generation of Transformers robots called Terrans – the first Transformers robots to be born on Earth. Together with the humans who welcome them in and care for them, they’ll redefine what it means to be a family. The series will be available on Nickelodeon from Monday to Friday at 03:45 PM KSA / 04:45 PM UAE and is sure to keep the kids entertained.

Making the kids' days even more entertaining, Nick Jr. is also premiering the ninth season of “PAW PATROL” and the sixth season of “BLAZE AND THE MONSTER MACHINES” on 5th November (Saturday-Sunday at 05:30 PM KSA 06:30 PM UAE). Moreover, a new sub-series, known as “BIG TRUCK PUPS,” will also premiere, which has a trucker theme and will introduce the viewers to a new pup named Al and introduce a new setting known as Big Valley.

A new animated series “BIG NATE” is also coming to NickToons, based on the best-selling children’s books and comic strip that Lincoln Peirce, the acclaimed author, and cartoonist, has written and drawn himself. Premiering on the 14th of November, BIG NATE is a comedy that follows a precocious 11-year-old boy named Nate who has a never-ending need to prove his awesomeness to the world. The show follows him and his best friends as they navigate sixth grade with humour and style and will be available from Monday to Friday at 06:35 PM KSA / 07:35 PM UAE.
