HOLLYWOOD, Calif.–Oct. 5, 2022–Nickelodeon today revealed the trailer for its brand-new original live-action comedy series, The Really Loud House, based on the Emmy Award-winning animated show The Loud House. Premiering on Thursday, Nov. 3, at 7 p.m. (ET/PT) on Nickelodeon, the half-hour series (20 episodes) follows 12-year-old Lincoln Loud (Wolfgang Schaeffer) as he goes on new adventures in the town of Royal Woods with his best friend Clyde McBride (Jahzir Bruno), while also navigating the chaos of living in a family with ten sisters.


In the premiere episode, “The Macho Man with the Plan,” Lincoln is excited to stay up late with his best friend Clyde to watch the RIP Hardcore Midnight Marathon, but his plans are ruined when his dad institutes an early curfew. They come up with the idea to use the Loud sisters to get Dad out of the house to celebrate his half-birthday, but just as they think their plan worked, Lisa’s robot Todd malfunctions and Lincoln must decide what being a good man is really about.

The cast playing the real-life versions of the beloved Loud family are: Brian Stepanek, as Lynn Loud Sr.; Jolie Jenkins, as Rita Loud; Eva Carlton, as Leni Loud; Sophia Woodward, as Luna Loud; Catherine Ashmore Bradley, as Luan Loud; Annaka Fourneret, as Lynn Loud; Aubin Bradley, as Lucy Loud; Ella Allan, as Lola Loud; Mia Allan, as Lana Loud; Lexi Janicek, as Lisa Loud; Lexi DiBenedetto, as Lori Loud; and August Michael Peterson, as Lily Loud. 

When A Loud House Christmas, the live-action movie, premiered on Friday, Nov. 26, 2021, it became the top kids’ entertainment telecast with kids 6-11 across all TV for the year, drawing 3.1 million total viewers over the holiday weekend. A Loud House Christmas is currently streaming here on Paramount+.

The Really Loud House is executive produced by Tim Hobert (The Middle, Scrubs, Community), Jonathan Judge (A Loud House Christmas, Warped!, Life In Pieces) and Michael Rubiner (The Loud House). Hobert also serves as showrunner and the pilot is directed by Judge. Production of the series for Nickelodeon Studios is overseen by Shauna Phelan and Zack Olin, Co-Heads of Nickelodeon & Awesomeness Live-Action. Brittany Cope serves as Nickelodeon’s Executive in Charge of Production for the series.

The Loud House animated series debuted on Nickelodeon in May 2016 and centers on 12-year-old Lincoln Loud and his 10 sisters as he gives an inside look at what it takes to survive the chaos of a huge family. Greenlit for a seventh season, it is one of the longest-running animated series on Nickelodeon with 176 episodes. The property has also been translated into: a comic book series, which continues to roll out new stories; chapter books; a digital album; and a podcast, Listen Out Loud. The series is executive produced by Michael Rubiner. Kyle Marshall serves as co-executive producer and Ashley Kliment-Baker and Gabrielle Dolbey are art directors.

JC Acosta and Tatiana Rodriguez Reportedly Leave Paramount

Two Paramount Global executives are reportedly leaving the company.

As Paramount moves towards being a more globally-led company, Juan Carlos "JC" Acosta, president of ViacomCBS Networks International Americas, Southern Europe (Italy, Spain, Portugal and France), África and the Middle East will leave the company with immediate effect.

"JC Acosta has been instrumental in launching Paramount+ in Latin America, acquiring Chilevisión and TeleColombia, and leading the production business, which included thousands of hours of premium content developed in more than a dozen studios around the world," a Paramount spokesperson told ttvnews. The source noted that Paramount is "incredibly appreciative of his leadership, his mentorship to many, and his unwavering dedication to growing our international business."

Also leaving the company is Tatiana Rodriguez, who was currently serving as Director of Content, Marketing and Commercial Solutions for Latin America, Southern Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The executive had been with the company for 26 years as head of Nickelodeon Latin America.

Nickelodeon Animation Reaches Across Platforms to Boost Franchises

Nickelodeon Brings in the Network Cavalry

Ramsey Naito has been running Nickelodeon Animation since 2017, and in that time the network’s programming has exploded with a raft of both homegrown series and adaptations of external IP. Star Trek, SpongeBob, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Blue’s Clues, Dora the Explorer, Rugrats… if that seems like too much for one network to handle, well, it no longer has to.

Paramount’s various subsidiaries add programming width to kiddie channels

Last fall, Naito added running Paramount Animation to her docket, and since then, the scope of potential programming across the corporate-partnered Nickelodeon networks, Paramount+ and Paramount theatrical has given the network increased space to expand. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem — the Seth Rogen-produced feature spun off from Nick’s revamped Turtles animated series — is due out next summer. Nickelodeon feature films from PAW Patrol, Blue’s Clues and Baby Shark are also on the horizon, as well as new features from Paramount properties Transformers and Smurfs. For Naito, this glut of programming presents opportunities.

“It’s a huge job, and I definitely feel the power of being stronger together than apart,” Naito told Variety of her increased purview. “Together, Nick Animation and Paramount Animation can make series, theatrical films, and be a destination for artists who can have long careers here. We’re making so much content, and the ecosystem we have within our studios is huge. Artists can come here to work on a preschool show, a big kids show, a theatrical film, you name it, and have a rich career.

“We needed to operate as one team, and so that’s been a main focus, just looking at both companies holistically. Nick already has some of the greatest IP, and Paramount has an incredible slate. And I really think bringing the Nick culture into the Paramount Animation space is really inspiring for everyone. It’s artist-driven, it’s creative, it’s a destination for talent who want to tell stories that mean something.”

Perhaps there’s no better test case to point to in that regard than the impending launch of Monster High. Adapted from Mattel’s beloved toy line, the property will get its introduction later this month, both as an animated Nickelodeon series and as a live-action musical feature film, which will unspool on both Nick and Paramount+. For Naito, this unusual launch strategy presented a way to “eventize” the series through multiple platforms.

“What’s really wonderful about the movie is that it’s a big event: it’s fun, it has incredible visuals, and being live-action, it makes audiences believe that the characters they’re seeing in the animated show are real,” she says. “And that’s truly aspirational and fun — it’s an experience to watch these unreal characters in the live-action space, and that’s what inspired the animated series. Together, they embolden each other.”

Of course, in addition to adapting massive IP for the network — Nick’s Star Trek: Prodigy will unveil its second season later this fall — and continuing to produce legacy originals including Rugrats, The Loud House and multiple SpongeBob series and movies, Nick still has the matter of making space for fresh ideas. Next year, the network will debut series Max and the MidKnights, Bossy Bear and Rock, Paper, Scissors — the latter being the first to get the greenlight out of Nick’s Intergalactic Shorts program, which was established to scout out pitches from underrepresented talent.

“We’re making so much content based on known IP, and in a world where franchise is everything, it’s especially important to be committed to making originals,” Naito says. “And the same touchstones apply [for originals and franchises]. What’s the talent that has a vision for the characters and the storytelling? Because the originals are the heart and soul; it’s what keeps us relevant, and continues to expand the library and the business for years to come. We’re very focused on doing both.

“And what’s great is that we’re in control of all of our programming, which means we can strategize how to release all of our shows. We’re not just a linear channel anymore. Streaming, Paramount+, multiple networks, digital, social, theatrical films — there are so many mouths to feed.”

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl to Add Rocko on Oct. 7

Brawling Day is a very dangerous day.


Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl will be adding Rocko from Rocko's Modern Life as a DLC character on Friday, October 7! The Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl dev team announced the news in a Tweet today (Oct. 5) celebrating the first anniversary of the hit game's release!

"Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl turns one year old today," said the dev team, adding "From the entire team: we cannot thank the community enough for the love, support and feedback we have recieved throughout the past year, and are immensely proud to be part of the community. How does Rocko this friday sound?"

The Rocko Brawler Pack was confirmed to be coming to NASB earlier this year, along with Jenny 'XJ-9' Wakeman from My Life as a Teenage Robot, who was added in May, and Hugh Neutron from Jimmy Neutron, who made his NASB debut in August. Similar to XJ-9 and Hugh, Rocko is expected to be a premium character.

It's currently unknown whether Carlos Alazraqui (The Fairly OddParents, The Casagrandes) will be returning to voice the '90s Nickelodeon favorite.

WHITEWATER EARN FOUR WWA 2022 LEADING EDGE AWARDS

At the recently held World Waterpark Association Show in Las Vegas, Nevada, WhiteWater was honoured with four Leading Edge Awards for its ‘achievements in extraordinary projects.’

The awards were won thanks to the projects in Water World Ocean Park Hong Kong, China, Aqua Nick at Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Riviera Maya, Mexico, Wild Rivers, USA and Baha Bay at Baha Mar, The Bahamas. 

Concretely, Aqua Nick is the biggest theming project WhiteWater has ever created in their 40-plus years of history – bringing the world of Sponge Bob, PAW Patrol, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and other storylines to life across 11 water slides, a Rain Fortress 5, AquaPlay 200, Splash Pad, and Lazy River.

According to WhiteWater, this water park ‘successfully uses intellectual properties with built-in audiences to immerse guests in a fictional world full of fun and excitement, for toddlers, thrill seekers, and everyone in between. 

‘It is a testament to the remarkable artistry, design skills, and teamwork between all partners involved.’

WhiteWater describes their achievements as projects which have ‘demonstrated originality, creativity, and first-rate engineering, providing new experiences for water park guests in different parts of the globe.’
