Netflix will release SpongeBob SquarePants: Get Cooking!, a brand new game based on Nickelodeon's beloved SpongeBob SquarePants animated series on September 27!
Not much is currently known about SpongeBob: Get Cooking!, however, judging from the game's logo, it looks like it will be a reworked version of SpongeBob: Krusty Cook-Off (also known as SpongeBob: Cooking Fever), the hit mobile game released by Tilting Point in 2020, but without the in-app purchases feature. The news was first reported by our friends over at What's on Netflix.
In SpongeBob: Krusty Cook-Off, players cook delicious nautical meals as they interact with Mr. Krabs, Patrick, Squidward, Sandy and many other familiar faces. Fans will visit famous SpongeBob landmarks like the Krusty Krab and Sandy's Treedome, collect and customize outfits for their favorite characters, design and upgrade their own versions of Bikini Bottom’s seven restaurants, and cook up grub across 400 story levels on their journey to be the best fry cook under the sea.

BURBANK, Calif., Sept. 26, 2022 -- Nickelodeon and Mattel today revealed a sneak peek clip and official key art for the original animated series Monster High, which will premiere in the U.S. on Friday, Oct. 28 at 7:00 p.m. (ET/PT) on Nickelodeon. The comedy-adventure series following the teenage children of famous monsters will also debut in Canada, the UK and Australia later this year on Nickelodeon and Paramount+, and in additional international territories in 2023.
Also announced today is an all-star lineup of additional voice talent:
Ken Marino (Reno 911!) as Dracula – Dracula is about 4,000 years old and Draculaura's dad. He wants to be a good father but does not always have the necessary tools for the job.
Felicia Day (Mystery Science Theater 3000) as Ghoulia Yelps – Curious, clever, and with ultra-fast fingers, Ghoulia is a zombie and the top gamer at Monster High.
Valeria Rodriquez (The Valley of Tears) as Spectra Vondergeist – This ghostly girl makes up for her translucent appearance by being super chatty. She just wants to be seen!
Scott Menville (Teen Titans Go!) as Romulus – Romulus is the current head of the were pack at Monster High, though he's still got a bit of learning and growing to do.
Cole Massie (Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers) as Finnegan Wake – Charming and chill, Finnegan is a merman who uses a wheelchair to get around on land. He has a beautiful singing voice, just like his aunties, the sirens.
Victoria T Washington (Dropouts) as Howleen – Howleen is a natural leader who values integrity over the pack mindset and always speaks her mind.
Jordan R. Coleman (A Million Little Things) as Manny Taur – Big, bull-headed Manny looks like a brute, but he's the gentlest kid at school. With his penchant for solving puzzles, he's one of the only students that can compete with Draculaura for honors as a top student.
Krystina Alabado (Sesame Street Mecha Builders) as Nefera De Nile – Nefera is the mummy who has it all – beauty, popularity, royalty, and a heart of gold (literally, she dipped her heart in gold and keeps it in a jar).
The new voice actors join previously announced cast members Gabrielle Nevaeh Green (Clawdeen Wolf), Courtney Lin (Draculaura), Iris Menas (Frankie Stein), Tony Revolori (Deuce Gorgon), Kausar Mohammed (Cleo De Nile), Valeria Rodriguez (Lagoona Blue), Alexa Kahn (Torelei Stripe), Alexander Polinsky (Heath Burns), and Debra Wilson (Headmistress Bloodgood).
The all-new series (26 episodes) follows Clawdeen Wolf, Draculaura, Frankie Stein, and Deuce Gorgon, as they discover who they are, embrace their differences, and learn to be fierce and fearless at the one place they all belong: Monster High.
In addition to the animated series, a live-action television movie musical based on the iconic franchise is slated to premiere Thursday, Oct. 6 on Nickelodeon and Paramount+. Both projects join other Mattel Television content in production, including series and specials based on Barbie, Masters of the Universe, Thomas & Friends, Polly Pocket, Pictionary and Fireman Sam, to name a few.

SpongeBob made an unexpected appearance on the 2022 Milan Fashion Week catwalk courtesy of GCDS.
For Spring/Summer 2023, creative director Giuliano Calza placed GCDS on a new planet — one tonally ruled by its pink alien mascot Wirdo, strictly adhered to a new constitution of style and lightheartedly submerged in SpongeBob SquarePants' Bikini Bottom. Suffice it to say, there’s a lot happening here.
To clear things up, the collection, dubbed “Alien Disco,” asks one overarching question: "what if aliens were hot?" (Roger Smith and Dr. Zoidberg were unavailable). Calza toys with this playful inquiry through a series of inventive silhouettes: among them, form-fitting catsuits, very-ripped denim pants, revealing swimwear and motocross gear.
At large, the martian-ready range is defined most prominently by light pinks, greens and yellows, subtly prodding onlookers with the color palette of Nickelodeon’s SpongeBob SquarePants and verifying the link with literal imagery of the famous sea sponge and his best friend, Patrick Star. Look after look, the notable cartoon character is made fashionable with an amalgam of beads, embroideries, crystals and intricate design techniques. It’s fun, unexpected and outside-the-box, all of which are qualities that have made fashion fond of GCDS.
With a healthy serving of irony, Calza’s latest iterations showcase the joyous elements of fashion without sacrificing the label’s expert craftsmanship. In the words of the House itself, the collection envisions “a posse of alien club kids, towering on massive platforms, faces painted in multiple colors, expressing the idea that being different is an opportunity, and that minorities must be protected in order to progress.”
Speaking to WWD, Calza said with a smile: “This is the emblem of weirdness, it’s so above the lines that you can accept everything that this sponge says,” adding “Plus this character is not gay nor straight, it has no boundaries.” Prior to the event, Calza teased that SpongeBob would be getting the "couture-like treatment",
