Actress Miranda Cosgrove (
iCarly) and NFL superstar Rob Gronkowski will take on the slimiest roles of their lives as co-hosts of
Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards 2022, airing live on Saturday, April 9, at 7:30 p.m. (ET/PT) from Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, Calif. For the first time ever, the show will feature a night filled with 1,000 epic slimings and dozens of fun-filled pranks celebrating fan-favorite stars across the worlds of film, television, music, sports and more.
Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards 2022 will simulcast across Nickelodeon, TeenNick, Nicktoons and the Nick Jr. channel.
First-time
Kids’ Choice Awards nominees include Olivia Rodrigo, Saweetie, Elizabeth Olsen, Awkwafina, The Kid LaROI, and Doja Cat, among others. Leading the pack with four nods each are Taylor Swift, Adele,
Danger Force,
High School Musical: The Musical: The Series,

All night long, KCA slimings will be front and center, dousing celebrity correspondents, landmarks, schools across the U.S. and more, with an on-screen running tally for kids at home. This year’s show will also feature: Nickelodeon’s signature blimp as it ventures into the metaverse with celebrity avatars; second screen content; live voting where fans stay in control; and the ability to stream the show LIVE across all platforms. Athletes including Nikki Bella and Brie Bella will be joining the show alongside actors like Sofia Carson, Sabrina Carpenter and Josh Peck. MrBeast, Karl Jacobs, and Chance the Rapper are also expected to be part of the show in some way.
The First Lady of the United States, Dr. Jill Biden, will
make a special appearance during
Nickelodeon’s Kids Choice Awards 2022. With an introduction by KCA co-host Miranda Cosgrove, the First Lady will speak to the resilience of today’s youngest generation, especially children of military members and veterans, and encourage America’s youth to keep growing, learning, and giving back to their communities.
In recognition of the Month of the Military Child, the KCA audience will include more than 45 Southern California military children and their families associated with the Elizabeth Dole Foundation and the Armed Services YMCA.
Additionally, Kids' Choice Awards 2022 will debut a first look trailer for the animated reimagining of Mel Brooks classic Blazing Saddles - which has been redubbed Paws of Fury: The Legend of Hank. This will be followed by a full trailer on Monday, April 11.
