Nickelodeon Launches 'Garfield In Mood for Food' Game

Garfield is in the Mood for Food in Nickelodeon's brand new game!


In Garfield In Mood for Food, players have to move everyone's favourite lasagna-loving cat around town to collect coins and delicious dishes. Using the maps, players can collect coins which can be used to purchase different cuisines from around the world, such as western, Japanese, Chinese, Singaporean and Malaysian dishes, before the HP bar empties. Players then have to get the food back to Garfield's home before the timer runs out.

To speed things up, Garfield can hop a ride on Odie, who doubles Garfield's traveling speed.

Players can also register with the game to make a profile to chart their progress and keep track of all the levels they've unlocked. There is also an album for all the dishes that have been unlocked.

Garfield: Mood for Food is a free-to-play HTML5 game developed using GameMaker Studio 2, and is available to play online on desktop and laptop computers, and on mobile devices.

New Internet Rumor Suggests That Patrick Star Has Died (He Hasn't)

Another day, another social media rumor about another SpongeBob SquarePants character dying.

TikTok users have been spending their time searching and learning about the deaths of SpongeBob SquarePants, starting with Sandy Cheeks and Squidward. Now its not too surprising that Patrick Star is the next character whose death interests viewers.

SpongeBob SquarePants is an American comedy television series created by marine science educator and animator Stephen Hillenburg for Nickelodeon. The series became widely popular and everyone’s childhood.

Years after the iconic Nickelodeon series ended, viewers are wondering the whereabouts of their favourite characters and their deaths. Although none are real, that has not stopped fans from pretending that those are the reasons for their death. Now they are reacting to them. 

Even though SpongeBob SquarePants and its spin-off series are still on-the-air, netizens seem to be obsessed with characters from the show passing away.

Patrick Star and SpongeBob are best known for their close friendship. They also happen to be next-door neighbors and have been through many adventures. Their good relationship has pulled them through many sticky situations.

Although there have been debates on who SpongeBob’s best friend is, it is clear throughout all the episodes that Patrick is the one because they both rely on each other and love spending time with one another.

According to a "deathfic" on the SpongeBob Fanon Wiki, a fan-fiction website devoted to the beloved animated series, Patrick died of food poisoning and the post states that it was during the episode "Death in the Pineapple", a non-existent episode of the series. 

“Patrick died of food poisoning, in the episode Death in the Pineapple, but was revived later on,”  

However, as the episode does not exist, it is just a fake theory. And as the series targets a younger audience, it is unlikely that any character will be killed off.

The first report and reaction on how Patrick died started a year ago when a TikTok user reacted to various other characters.

Over the past week, starting with the presumed death of the fictional character Sandy Cheeks, and now Squidward, TikTok users have been reacting to the surprising deaths of the Nickelodeon characters.

So far, TikTok users have shown traumatizing reactions, where they believe those to be their actual deaths but are not true at all.

'Avatar: The Last Airbender' RPG Shares New Details About the Elemental Nations

Avatar: The Last Airbender is often considered to be one of the greatest animated series of all time - and with good reason! The series that originally landed in 2005 helped introduce heartfelt characters in a world wherein the elements themselves could be bent, with the franchise set to receive a live-action series via Netflix and Paramount currently working on animated projects that will return to the world of Aang and Korra in any new film and television projects.  


When the Nickelodeon series first premiered in 2005, we were introduced to a number of nations such as the Fire Nation, Earth Kingdom, and Water Tribe. With the Airbender Clan being lost to the world but leaving the Avatar known as Aang, the bender joined the likes of Katara and Sokka in a bid to stop the progression of the Fire Nation and the evil Lord Ozai from taking over the world. The Role-Playing Game, Avatar Legends, has helped to further explore new mysteries within the world, while also being one of the biggest Kickstarter initiatives in recent history, raising millions of dollars last year and giving fans of the bending world a new opportunity to re-enter the adventure.

In the board game that once again dives into the world of bending, major locales within the Nickelodeon franchise were finally revealed, giving fans of the series a better idea of the different nations and the places that they called home:

  • Northern Water Tribe Capital – Agna Qel'A
  • Fire Nation Capital – Hari Bulkan
  • Southern Water Tribe Capital – Wolf Cove

Agna Qel’a:

  • Northern Water Tribe capital city
  • Etymology: unknown
  • Source: The Shadow of Kyoshi Chapter Two: The Invitation

Hari Bulkan

  • Elite residential district of the Fire Nation capital located in the dormant caldera of a volcano, home to the royal family and other high-ranking nobility
  • Also known as Royal Caldera City
  • Together with Harbor City at the foot of the volcano, it makes up the Fire Nation capital
  • Located on Capital Island
  • Etymology: Most likely Austronesian, where “hari” means king in Cebuano and Tagalog (related to “haji” in Old Javanese, “hadi” in Bikol Central and Waray-Waray, “adi” in Cuyonon, “ari” in Ilocano and Mansaka, and “ariki” in Maori (Polynesian)) and “bulkan” means volcano in Bikol Central, Dupaningan Agta, Tagalog, Waray-Waray, and Yogad, via Spanish volcán (similar etymological path as the “azul-” root of Azula and Azulon, meaning blue)

Water Tribe Sacred Island:

  • A tiny island located near the equator halfway between the Northern and Southern Water Tribes
  • For thousands of years, disputes between the two polar tribes were resolved by meeting here
  • Claimed by the nearby Fire Nation in the leadup to the Hundred Year War

Wolf Cove:

  • Southern Water Tribe capital city
  • Has been through major changes in its history, growing and shrinking between a large city and tiny village multiple times
  • Etymology: Wolves are one of the few non-hybrid animals in the world of Avatar (along with bears, shout out to Bosco!)
  • Source: Avatar Legends: The Roleplaying Game

Whale Harbor:

  • A prominent city of the Southern Water Tribe in the era of Avatar Roku
  • Illustrates how the Southern Water Tribe is a federation of many smaller tribes/settlements (for example Wolf Cove and Whale Harbor) each with their own local chieftains
  • Etymology: Unlike wolves and bears, whales haven’t been seen in Avatar, but they have been referenced (Whale Tail Island and Whale Harbor) so it’s possible they exist

Most of these come from the recent official Avatar Legends TTRPG, which, if you missed it, also dropped the fact that Fire Lord Sozin had a sister: Princess Zeisan.

While Netflix's live-action series is currently underway, revealing the core cast of stars that will be bringing the franchise to the world of live-action, Paramount's Avatar Studios has kept the details of its future projects close to the chest. While there have certainly been details regarding the animation style that will be used in the return to the world of bending, with CG animation being touted for the upcoming projects, the studio has yet to reveal what stories these upcoming works will explore.

SkyShowtime Announces Key Leadership Ahead of its Initial Launches Later This Year

SkyShowtime announces key leadership ahead of its initial launches later this year

SkyShowtime will launch across more than 20 European markets


SkyShowtime CEO Monty Sarhan today announced a number of senior appointments to his leadership team; ahead of the streaming service’s launch which is planned to begin later this year and will ultimately encompass more than 20 European markets.

SkyShowtime CEO Monty Sarhan, said: “In building a team, my goal has been to bring together leaders who share my vision of creating an exciting, dynamic, inclusive, and empowered organization. These talented individuals bring a wealth of expertise from across the industry and will play a critical role in the success of SkyShowtime. I know all of them will work passionately and enthusiastically to drive our business forward as we gear up for our upcoming launches across Europe.”

The following appointments will join Sarhan’s leadership team:

  • Francesca Pierce has been named Chief Financial Officer. Pierce, who joins from Sky, was one of the key members of the team that helped shape the SkyShowtime project and brings significant experience in financial planning and commercial negotiations to the leadership team. She first joined Sky from Bear Stearns in 2006 and worked in several finance leadership roles across Sky, including content and channel operations, strategy and insight through to her most recent role as Director of Finance, New Businesses and Markets. Pierce will report directly to Sarhan.
  • Jen McAleer has been appointed Chief Brand Officer. McAleer also joins from Sky where she has worked as Group Brand Director and was instrumental in helping to create and develop the SkyShowtime brand over the past year. McAleer is an experienced and innovative leader and brand-builder who has worked across multiple industries, with a talent for creating and executing insight-led brand strategies and propositions across customer touchpoints. Prior to Sky, she worked at Tesco where she held the position of Group Own Brand Director. As a leader, she has driven values-led cultures and engagement with internal teams. She will also report to Sarhan.
  • Richard Howard joins as Chief Marketing Officer from NBCUniversal where he served as Senior Vice President of Marketing for hayu, its all-reality streaming service. Howard is a proven leader in this space who thinks outside the box and brings an entrepreneurial approach to building teams and scaling direct-to-consumer businesses. Howard will build and lead the performance marketing team and will be responsible for all marketing and customer growth activities across all regions and channels. He will report to McAleer.
  • Josh Snow has been named Chief Product Officer. He also joins from NBCUniversal where he worked as Senior Vice President of Product and Design. Snow’s multi-platform expertise spans web, app, and mobile experiences. He brings a deep knowledge of the Peacock platform, which is the technology foundation for SkyShowtime, along with significant product strategy and development experience from across the entertainment and sports sectors. The data, customer service, and product teams will all report into Snow. He will report to Sarhan.
  • Henriette Petersen has been named Regional General Manager for Northern Europe. She joins from Paramount where she served as Director of Marketing and was a driving force and played a key role in the launch of Paramount+ in the Nordics. Petersen brings a wealth of experience in the entertainment and direct-to-consumer space. She will lead the distribution and partnership team and work closely on marketing and content initiatives in the region. Petersen will report to Sarhan.
  • Gabor Harsanyi has been appointed Regional General Manager for Central and Eastern Europe. He joins SkyShowtime from Paramount, where he served as General Manager for Central and Eastern Europe, Austria and Switzerland. He is a proven leader in the sector having also previously worked for HBO, as well as Coca Cola. Harsanyi’s remit will cover business development and negotiation of SkyShowtime partnerships across the region, including with distributors and third parties. He will report to Sarhan.

SkyShowtime’s vast offering will include over 10,000 hours of content including the television premieres of first-run theatrical films from Paramount and Universal; new scripted series from Showtime, Paramount+, Sky Studios, and Peacock; local original programming; kids and family programming from Nickelodeon, DreamWorks, and Illumination; and a rich library offering across all genres and tapping into key franchises from the Universal and Paramount catalogues.


SkyShowtime will ultimately be available in the following markets: Albania, Andorra, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Hungary, Kosovo, Montenegro, Netherlands, North Macedonia, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden.

Fayetteville-Manlius High School Students to Present ‘The SpongeBob Musical’ in March 2022

Manlius, NY - Students of Fayetteville-Manlius High School will present the musical The SpongeBob Musical as their spring show.

The SpongeBob Musical is the musical adaptation of Nickelodeon’s long-running animated children’s sitcom, SpongeBob SquarePants. We find ourselves in the undersea city of Bikini Bottom, inhabited by happy-go-lucky and ever-optimistic yellow sea sponge SpongeBob SquarePants and his equally quirky circle of friends and neighbors. SpongeBob’s pleasant existence is abruptly interrupted when it is discovered that Mt. Humongous, a nearby volcano, will erupt within the next 48 hours and completely obliterate Bikini Bottom. SpongeBob, trying to prove to himself and the world that he is not “just a simple sponge,” resolves to save the day when everybody else has given up all hope.

Though The SpongeBob Musical is incredibly fun and family-friendly, its timeless story of identity, crisis, and community is also a witty allegory that examines and critiques the politics of the modern era, and it does so in such a way where children will appreciate and understand the plot line, while adults can read between the lines and extract even more from the musical’s message. The SpongeBob Musical features an eclectic score of music, each song having been written by a different musical artist with the purposes of recreating the type of musical hodgepodge exhibited by the original television series.

Performances are 7 p.m. Friday, March 11, and 2 and 7 p.m. Saturday, March 12, in the Fayetteville-Manlius High School auditorium, 8201 East Seneca Turnpike, Manlius, NY 13104.
