Free Comic Book Day Announces TMNT FCBD 2023 Title From IDW Publishing

The Free Comic Book Day (FCBD) Retailer Selection Committee has announced the exciting news that they have selected IDW Publishing's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles FCBD Special as one of the Silver Sponsor Titles of Free Comic Book Day 2023! In addition to featuring a story inspired by the '80s iteration of the iconic franchise, the issue will also include Rise of The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the franchise's current iteration.

In 1987, the world at large was introduced to the TMNT by way of a catchy theme song and an action-packed cartoon, shell-shocking the world into an era of Turtlemania! Since then, the characters have appeared in countless comics, a multitude of animated series, and several motion pictures.

Free Comic Book Day 2023, the industry's most anticipated annual event will take place on Saturday, May 6, at participating comic shops worldwide.

Comic Book Day 2023 will boast forty-four titles: thirteen Gold Sponsor comics and thirty-one Silver Sponsor comics that give fans an opportunity to discover new titles and genres.

The complete listing of all forty-six FCBD titles, including beloved franchises such as Avatar: The Last Airbender, Star Trek, Smurfs, Animal Crossing, and Street Fighter. Other notable titles are available from ABLAZE, First Second Books, Rebellion, TOKYOPOP, and more.
