First, the Supreme Court heard oral arguments about the future of affirmative action in college admissions. Both sides debated whether or not universities should use race as an admissions factor. If the Supreme Court's conservative majority wins, the decision could lower the number of black and Hispanic students in college.
Next, world leaders are gathering in Egypt for the United Nations Climate Change Summit, COP27. Some of their goals include finding ways to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and alternatives to fossil fuels.
And an eight-year-old boy made history by becoming one of the youngest rope ascent climbers of El Capitan in Yosemite Park. Sam Baker and his dad hiked for four days to climb the 3,000 foot summit.
