The 2022 MTV VMAs return to New Jersey’s Prudential Center in Newark, and will air on Sunday, Aug. 28, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on MTV, Nickelodeon, BET, the CW, Comedy Central, Logo, MTV2, Paramount Network, Pop, TVLand, and VH1.
Jack Harlow, Kendrick Lamar and Lil Nas X lead the way with seven nominations each, followed by Doja Cat and Harry Styles with six each. Other artists who are nominated this year are Billie Eilish, Drake, Dua Lipa, Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift and The Weeknd, who each have five.

Fans can take part and vote for their favorite stars across 22 gender-neutral categories, including video of the year, artist of the year, best collaboration and two all-new categories: best longform video and best metaverse performance.
