Starting Friday, July 15, audiences will get to enjoy a funny, fuzzy misadventure for the Big Nate kids in the new short playing in theaters before screenings of Paws of Fury: The Legend of Hank!
Dubbed "Bad Hamster," the short film sees Nate, Teddy, Francis, and Chad teach their audience how to make homemade ice cream, but an ice cream-induced food coma may set loose a giant terror in the Wright household. The short also features an original song, “Don’t Shove Me in Your Pocket,” performed by Kevin Michael Richardson.
Big Nate, produced by Nickelodeon Animation, is based on the best-selling children’s books and comic strip written and drawn by acclaimed author and cartoonist Lincoln Peirce. The series follows Nate Wright, a precocious 11-year-old boy, and his best friends as they navigate sixth grade with humor and style.
The first eight episodes are currently available to stream exclusively on Paramount+, with more episodes coming later this year. The series was recently renewed for a 10-episode second season.
