“Trans kids are so much more than their gender identity, and it’s so important for people to listen to kids,” she says in the spot. “I wish for a world where everyone can be lifted up and celebrated.”
The spot tells kids that “today and everyday” they should “celebrate those who are helping others realize that everyone should be proud of what makes them who they are.”
Since she became well known for holding up a sign at a pro-trans rally in New Jersey which said, “I’m the SCARY Transgender person the MEDIA warned you about,” Bruesehoff has been featured frequently in videos and other media about gender identity.

After transitioning, Bruesehoff began playing field hockey, according to CBS News, a sport that U.S. schools typically only offer for women. She has since become involved in the debate about trans athletes, and whether biological males should be allowed to compete with biological females.
Bruesehoff was also chosen to be part of Marvel’s “Hero Project” in 2020, at which time she joined the Marvel Universe of characters as “The Mighty Rebekah.”
