Actor Judy Grafe, best known for playing Joyce Wrigley, the mother of Pete and Pete who famously had a metal plate in her head in Nickelodeon's beloved '90s comedy series The Adventures of Pete & Pete as well as Pete & Pete shorts and specials has sadly passed away.
In addition to playing the mom in Pete & Pete, Judy's resume included parts in *batteries not included, Judging Amy, Untold Stories of the ER, and Unsolved Mysteries, served as a panelist on Figure It Out, and appeared in on stage in Los Angeles and New York in shows such as The Seagull, 84 Charing Cross Road, Talking With and Sate of the Art.
Judy was also an emergency room volunteer, licensed real estate salesperson, and NY State certified volunteer firefighter, and served as a reporter for WPIX TV-New York City.
The Adventures of Danny and Mike: The Podcast, the podcast run by Pete & Pete stars Danny Tamberelli and Michael C. Maronna, who played Little Pete and Big Pete in the series, and producer Jeremy Balon, payed tribute to Judy on social media, saying: "Everyone here at D&M is gutted by the news of Judy's passing. Mall of America and Nickelodeon Universe Add New Accessibility Options, Renew Commitment to Certified Autism Center Designation
Since Mall of America (MOA) and Nickelodeon Universe earned the Certified Autism Center™ designation in 2019, the team has implemented a variety of additional options to enhance the guest experience and recently renewed their commitment to the CAC program.
Minneapolis, MN - November 30th, 2021 - Since Mall of America (MOA) and Nickelodeon Universe earned the Certified Autism Center™ designation in 2019, the team has implemented a variety of additional options to enhance the guest experience and recently renewed their commitment to the CAC program.
“The certification has been well received and it has allowed the team to not only share personal breakthrough stories but also to be more comfortable talking about them. We think the biggest takeaway from the IBCCES certification is that employees are excited about being able to add the credentials to their resume and utilizing the insights and information beyond the walls of Mall of America and Nickelodeon Universe,” said Mayra Ferraro, Attractions Manager for Mall of America.
As part of the continued commitment to the CAC designation, MOA and Nickelodeon Universe staff have completed updated renewal training to help better understand and communicate with visitors who are autistic or have sensory needs. Nickelodeon Universe also offers sensory guides, created by IBCCES, as well as quiet areas and other options.
“We’re excited to continue working with the team at Mall of America and Nickelodeon Universe to create a great experience for all visitors and help empower the teams that engage with those visitors every day,” says Myron Pincomb, IBCCES Board Chairman. “Our goal is to provide ongoing support to our CAC partners to ensure they continue to grow their accessibility options.”

American Dream to offer shopping deals, giveaways and more ahead of holiday festivities
With the merriest and bright season at our doorsteps, American Dream in New Jersey is kicking off its Black Friday deals and festive entertainment, including holiday-themed attractions.
The retail and entertainment complex located in East Rutherford will have “Surprise and Delight Sales” for Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and a “Shop to Spin.”
Black Friday
For the first time, American Dream will open its doors at 7 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 26, rewarding early-bird guests with doorbusters and exclusive giveaways. These giveaways include tickets to American Dream attractions like DreamWorks Water Park, SEA LIFE Aquarium, LEGOLAND Discovery Center, and The Rink, as well as surprises from several retail partners. The location will be at Court A, Level 1.
Cyber Monday
For 24-hours only, American Dream will offer 20% off to those who purchase a digital ticket to select American Dream attractions, using the code CYBE20. Purchases made on swag items from DreamWorks, Nickelodeon, and Angry Birds. Check AmericanDream.com.
Shop to Spin
Guests who shop at select retailers will get a chance to spin American Dream’s giveaway wheel, starting Nov. 26. Prizes include tickets to American Dream’s attractions Nickelodeon Universal Theme Park and Angry Birds Mini Golf, American Dream swag, gifts from retailers, and more. This will continue through Dec. 23.
American Dream is also celebrating the holiday season with festival entertainment including the following
Families can bring their children to the attraction for endless holiday memories with Santa SpongeBob, and more characters. Children can also stop by Santa’s workshop and write a letter to Santa, decorate ornaments, and color. This will begin on Nov. 26 and run daily for the season.
Chanukah at American Dream
The Mall will celebrate Chanukah by hosting a nightly lighting of American Dream’s 30′ x 30′ menorah. This will occur nightly from Nov. 28 through Dec. 5, in Court A.
The Dream Stage
For select dates from Nov. 26 to Dec. 24, American Dream is welcoming local bands, artists, and performers to take center stage.
Candy Cane Chute
American Dream elves will hand out candy canes to guests as they enjoy holiday music while introducing its double-decker candy chute. This will occur from Nov. 26 through Christmas Eve, in Court A.
Holidays at the Avenue
Santa and his elves will make an appearance at The Avenue in American Dream, by rolling through on a luxurious gold cart, stopping for photos, and handing out candy to shoppers. This will happen through Christmas Eve.
Holiday-themed attractions will also make its appearance at American Dream, with festivities for all ages at several attractions.
Skate with Santa
Guests can have the opportunity to skate with Santa on its NHL regulation-sized ice rink, which will be decorated for the holiday season, through Dec. 3.
Shrek the Halls
Guests can come and meet Santa Shrek at DreamWorks Water Park, and take photos with children. The event will run daily through the season.
