Hipdot is teaming up with Nickelodeon’s Rugrats for a new makeup collection! The limited-edition six-piece collection is inspired by the show’s popular “A Rugrats Chanukah” episode, and features an eyeshadow palette, two lip glosses, a makeup sponge, and face masks.
“A Maccababy’s Gotta Do What a Maccababy’s Gotta Do!”
It’s been 30 years since the first episode of Rugrats aired, and for anyone who still can’t get enough of the beloved group of babies, HipDot has a surprise for you! The ethical beauty brand has collaborated with Nickelodeon to launch a makeup collection inspired by one of the show’s most iconic episodes, “A Rugrats Chanukah”! Check out a first look below, courtesy of POPSUGAR!
The six-piece collection features a nine-shade eyeshadow palette, complete with shade names that reference the iconic episode, like “Topato Pancakes,” “MaccaBaby,” “Meanie Of Chanukah,” "Chanukah," "Menorah," "Harmonica," "To Be or Maccabi," "Five Fathers," and "Maccababy Cradle." The colours inside come in a range of blue, brown, and gold hues in shimmer, glitter, and matte finishes.
There are also two double-ended tinted lip glosses in the festive colours of blue and gold, a beauty sponge with a portrait of Tommy Pickles on the side of it, and two sheet masks that look like Chuckie and Angelica (Angelica's is called "Angelica's Sassy Spa Day"). While all of the items in the limited-edition collection can be purchased separately, superfans of the TV series will want to score the complete Hipdot x Rugrats Collectors Box, which also includes a special pin of Tommy.
As with all HipDot products, each item in the collection is vegan and cruelty-free, meaning any Rugrats fan can use these products without worrying about animal by-products in cosmetics.

Since its launch July 17, 1999, SpongeBob SquarePants has reigned as the number-one animated series on TV for the last 18 years, while generating a universe of beloved characters, pop culture catchphrases and memes, theatrical releases, consumer products, a Tony Award®-winning Broadway musical and a global fan base. SpongeBob SquarePants is the most widely distributed property in ViacomCBS Networks International history, seen in more than 170 countries and territories, translated in 30+ languages, and averaging more than 100 million total viewers every month. SpongeBob SquarePants was created by Stephen Hillenburg and produced by Nickelodeon in Burbank. The character-driven cartoon chronicles the nautical and sometimes nonsensical adventures of SpongeBob, an incurable optimist and earnest sea sponge, and his undersea friends.

Unfortunately, there seems to be a couple of fixtures missing from this years Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade: Nickelodeon's Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Shimmer & Shine floats and the Red Power Ranger balloon, the latter two were also missing from last year's parade.
Following last year’s made for television celebration, the official kick-off to the holiday season will take to the streets of Manhattan on Thursday, November 25th beginning at 9:00 a.m. On Thanksgiving Day, the spectacle will once again delight New York City spectators and a national television audience with its signature mix of giant character helium balloons, fantastic floats, marching bands, performance groups, celebrities, clowns, and the one-and-only Santa Claus.
“Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade has been a New York City institution for more than nine decades, growing to become an icon of American pop culture as it annually marks the official start of the holiday season,” said Will Coss, Executive Producer of Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. “For our 95th celebration, we are delighted to return this cherished holiday tradition closer to its original form as we march down the streets of New York City and into the homes of a nationwide audience.”
“We are thrilled to welcome back in its full form the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, a world-renowned celebration that ushers in the magic of being in New York City during the holiday season,” said New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio. “We applaud Macy’s work to creatively continue this beloved tradition last year and look forward to welcoming back Parade watchers to experience it safely, live and in person this November.”
To once again safely produce the annual Thanksgiving Day celebration, Macy’s partnered closely with the City and State of New York to create an event production plan that would ensure health and safety practices are aligned with current CDC guidelines, as well as local and state government protocols.
The health and well-being of participants and spectators continues to be Macy’s number one priority.
Following the most up-to-date health guidelines, the City of New York will manage public viewing locations and safety procedures along designated portions of the route with access details to be announced.
For its participants and staff, Macy’s will put in place several health and safety procedures across all areas of the production.
2021 Health & Safety procedures include, but are not limited to the following:
All volunteer participants and staff will be vaccinated. Vaccine verification will be conducted at all back of house entry points. A few exceptions to this procedure may be made at the sole discretion of Macy’s and its medical consultant based on select extenuating circumstances. For those rare instances, Macy’s medical consultant will administer COVID-19 testing and clear the individual for Parade participation.
All participants and staff regardless of vaccination status will wear face coverings and additional protective equipment, as warranted by their role. As appropriate, exceptions may include singers, dancers and musicians performing down the route or for the national broadcast.
Macy’s will implement a reduction in the overall number of participants of between 10 to 20 percent (approximately 800 to 1,600 participants).
Social distancing practices will be in place at all interior/exterior Parade operations including costuming areas, seating and participant check-in.
Following the successful live audience production of this year’s Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks® and the safe production of last year’s Parade celebration, Macy’s along with its government agency and health partners will continue to monitor evolving health trends and will be ready to implement contingency plans should conditions warrant.
2021 Macy’s Parade initial production plan (subject to change):
Marching band, cheer and specialty group performances originally slated for the 2020 Parade will take place this year live in New York City.
Macy’s signature giant character balloons will once again be flown with 80-100 handlers, the flight management team and its anchor vehicle.
The return of Macy’s Balloon Inflation event is currently under consideration. More information will be announced in November.
Details on the exact public viewing locations including viewing maps, entry guidelines and restrictions will be announced in November. Spectators are encouraged to check macys.com/parade in advance of their travel to the Parade route.
The 2021 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade will air nationwide on NBC-TV, Thursday, November 25, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. to noon, in all time zones. For more information visit macys.com/parade. To follow and participate in the excitement, check out @macys on various social platforms and follow #MacysParade.

ViacomCBS Consumer Products UK has announced plans to launch three brand new PAW Patrol content themes in 2022, and revealed plans to celebrate the beloved property's 10th anniversary in 2023!
In a recent news release, Venetia Davie, Vice President (VP), ViacomCBS Consumer Products, UK, Ireland, ANZ and Israel said: “Paw Patrol has established itself as a true evergreen and continues to deliver. In 2021, we saw an uptick in consumer awareness and engagement with the release of Paw Patrol the movie, which drove consumer products sales. In 2022, we are working closely with Spin Master Entertainment to maintain that momentum with three new content themes before moving into the pups’ 10-year anniversary and sequel movie in 2023."
One upcoming theme is "Rescue Knights", which will take viewers to an unexpected, extraordinary and chivalrous medieval universe. But encounters with dukes, princesses, knights and even dragons are no picnic for our PAW Patrol heroes, with danger lurking close by! Claw, the Doberman puppy, will give our PAW Patrol heroes a hard time! Fortunately, they soon discover that Claw's mount, the dragon Sparks, is very sensitive to marshmallows... Even in the Middle Ages, the Patrol is on top form!
PAW Patrol is one of the most popular preschool shows on television in the U.S. The CGI-animated series, produced by Spin Master Entertainment, follows a pack of heroic rescue pups—Chase, Marshall, Rubble, Skye, Rocky, Zuma, Everest and Tracker—who are led by a tech-savvy boy named Ryder. Together, they work hard to show the people of Adventure Bay that "no job is too big, no pup is too small!" The series features a curriculum that focuses on citizenship, social skills and problem solving.
Update (11/24) - Spin Master’s CEO Ronnen Harary recently talked to The Globe and Mail about PAW Patrol:
[...] PAW Patrol has me excited. The movie did very well. It was our first time doing a feature film, and the amount of awareness that got attributed to the film was very high. We’ve never partnered with a major motion picture company like Paramount, which goes out and advertises the firm globally. That has really helped the franchise.
Beyond sales, what’s the movie’s value to you?
The most important thing is the ability to tell a story in long format. You’re not doing an 11-minute episode; you’re doing 80 minutes on the big screen. How do you tell that long, arching story but stay true to the tone of PAW Patrol and the characters, and then give the kids something a bit deeper, where they can connect to those characters? Also, the fact that we produced it ourselves. We green-lit that movie without a studio partner on board. We took the risk financially. Our team produced it in Canada. We created the story. We found the writers, the directors, the animation studio—Mikros, in Montreal. PAW Patrol: The Movie was 95% Canadian. It’s an incredible thing. And now it gives us the ability to create future PAW Patrol films and the confidence to create other films based on other characters.
Recently, about PAW Patrol, you said: “The conventional norm is that you shouldn’t do a film for younger children like this, and we wanted to break the conventional norm.” What was norm-breaking about PAW Patrol: The Movie
Typically a preschool property doesn’t make it to the big screen. The studios are always looking for a four-quadrant film. Two quadrants are not gonna bring in enough audience to pay for the costs of the film and advertising.
Quadrants, meaning?
Like, kids, parents, teenagers... This is a two-quadrant film—just parents and young kids. Anybody from 10 to 20 is not going to see this film. Four quadrants is a much broader spectrum of age groups. But the cost of animation has come down to a point where we were able to make the economics work.
Worldwide box office for PAW Patrol: The Movie as of October had reached US$130 million, with international sales more than double those in the North American market, where Paramount Plus is streaming the movie.

One of the biggest issues in Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl currently is its lack of alternate costumes or colours to differentiate players. If you've got four SpongeBob players, they're all going to look the exact same in a fight, which makes things pretty difficult to watch at times.
This seems to be a temporary issue, however, as a dataminer has found alternate costumes for all of All-Star Brawl's cast. Not only did GhostsPumpkinSoup find the costumes, but they've also figured out how to apply them in-game, giving us a first look at what they'll be like.
Each character currently has one alternate costume each and, as you'd expect, they're all references to the characters. SpongeBob's, arguably one of the best, is Smitty Werbenjagermanjensen's hat from "One Krab's Trash", whilst Patrick gets a cowboy hat that could be a reference to several SpongeBob episodes.
Some of the standout costumes include Danny Phantom getting his original jumpsuit and hair colour, Aang getting his hat from the episode "Imprisoned", Powdered Toast Man getting his original colour scheme and design from his first appearance in Ren & Stimpy, April O'Neil from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles getting a green and yellow jumpsuit, Lincoln Loud from The Loud House getting a cap, and Reptar from Rugrats getting a purple skin. Honestly, even if we have to wait a little bit to get properly-referenced costumes, it's well worth it.
There are a few hints that these costumes aren't quite ready yet, such as Zim's alternate costume, his human disguise, not including the contact lens that give him human eyes. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles outfits, as awesome as they are, also look a little unfinished right now and could do with some polishing.
Following the datamine, the developers confirmed on the official All-Star Brawl Discord that alternate costumes are coming to the game soon and were intended for launch but got pushed back. There's no given release date on them right now, or indication if characters will get more than one outfit, but we do know that they're on the way.
Update (11/20) - The official Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl Twitter has confirmed that alternate costumes are coming to the game "soon", and that they'll be free!:
Update (11/24) - The official Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl Twitter released a first look at the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Michelangelo alternative skin, which will pay homage to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' classic black and white comic book appearances. The sharp black lines help to make the pizza-loving warrior highly noticeable, making for a very unique new look.
Paul Sun-Hyung Lee, who plays Iroh in the upcoming Netflix series, Avatar: The Last Airbender, sings the praises of its talented young cast.
Actor Paul Sun-Hyung Lee is praising the young talent involved in Netflix's upcoming Avatar: The Last Airbender series. The popular streaming service first announced its plans for the live-action Avatar adaptation in 2018. Based on the original Nickelodeon animated series of the same name, the show tracks the perilous journey of twelve-year-old Aang to fulfill his destiny as the current Avatar and bring peace to a war-torn world. Following the series' conclusion in 2008, it has since benefited from streaming availability, propelling it towards larger audiences and generating a renewed interest.
After creative differences led to the departure of original series' creators Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko last year, Netflix brought Albert Kim on board to serve as Avatar's new showrunner. Despite some skepticism from fans regarding the change in leadership, the show has continued past its development stage, with production on Avatar: The Last Airbenderhaving already started. In addition to Lee, the cast for this reimagining includes Gordon Cormier, Kiawentiio, Ian Ousley, Dallas Liu, and Daniel Dae Kim.
In a livestream ahead of his first day of filming, Paul Sun-Hyung Lee, who plays Zuko's wise uncle Iroh, sang the praise of every young actor chosen to star in the live-action adaptation. He expresses his excitement to be a part of it, stating that proper representation was important, and that there seems to have been a deep consideration in its casting. On his co-stars, he uses words such as "revelation" and "crafted" when describing the impressions left on him. Check out Lee's full quote regarding the series and its talented cast below:
"When you see a wall of faces that look like your own, it's amazing and with something like Airbender, you can't go any other way. There's that deep consideration when it comes to casting and everybody that's up on that wall too, it's not just because of the color of their skin. They're all accomplished actors, it's incredible. Gordon Cormier who's playing Aang, he is a revelation. The actress Kiawentiio who plays Katara, is a crafted actress. Ian Ousley who's playing Sokka, he's going to steal every scene he's in. And Dallas Liu playing Zuko, I am so looking forward to working with him. We had a rehearsal today and he just blew me away. There's going to be an incredible amount of heart, fun, and excitement to this series and I think the fans are going to love it."
The issue of representation in the series' cast was important to fans of the original hoping to see a more culturally appropriate remake. The 2010 film, The Last Airbender, remains notorious for whitewashing and racial miscasting. Unlike that project, universally criticized by both fans and critics for this decision, along with M. Night Shyamalan's direction, a second attempt at the live-action format comes with intentions of remaining faithful to its source material.
Lee's impressions of his young co-stars should also give fans, perhaps weary of their newcomer statuses, something to look forward to. When dealing with something as revered and long-lasting as this, fans are ultimately who creators want to please. After the disappointing film adaptation, they have been eagerly awaiting a first look at the upcoming series. There is no denying the magnitude of the original, as fans have even taken to social media to defend its stance as the best Nickelodeon show, as well as the best animated show of all time. With production on the remake already underway, expect Netflix's Avatar: The Last Airbender to continue its emerging popularity ahead of the estimated 2022 release date.
The second edition of the art book for The Legend of Korra season 4 will come in standard and deluxe versions.
Next year marks the tenth anniversary of the debut of The Legend of Korra, the acclaimed animated series and spin-off of Avatar: The Last Airbender. To celebrate the occasion Dark Horse Comics is reissuing multiple volumes of their artbook series for the show, and today (Nov. 23) revealed the cover artwork for the new edition of the fourth and final volume of the series, The Legend of Korra: The Art of the Animated Series–Book 4: Balance, which you can check out below, courtesy of The Beat!
Here’s how Dark Horse describes the second edition of the artbook:
"Go behind the scenes of the last season of the animated series in The Legend of Korra Book Four–– Balance, created by Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, the same creative team that brought you the blockbuster show Avatar: The Last Airbender!
"Reprinted just in time for the anniversary of the animated series, this handsome hardcover contains hundreds of art pieces created during the development of the show’s fourth and final season. Featuring creator commentary from DiMartino and Konietzko, this is an intimate look inside the creative process that brought the mystical world of bending and a new generation of heroes to life, and the thoughts of the folks who created it!"
The first edition of the Balance artbook was released back in September of 2015. Along with the new cover art, the second edition of the book will also be available in a deluxe edition, including a slipcase and a commemorative lithograph of the book’s original cover art.
The re-issued fourth volume rounds out the series of Legend of Korra artbooks. The first two volumes have already had new editions released this year in both standard and deluxe versions, while the third volume, Change, is due out in February of next year.
Created by Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, The Legend of Korra ran for fifty-two episodes on Nickelodeon, from 2012 through 2014. The series has continued in comics form from Dark Horse, with a pair of trilogies, Turf Wars and Ruins of the Empire, both written by DiMartino and illustrated by Irene Koh and Michelle Wong, respectively, and released between 2017 and 2020.
Look for the second edition of The Legend of Korra: The Art of the Animated Series–Book 4: Balance to arrive in stores on June 21st, 2022.

NICKELODEON INTERNATIONAL AND ONESIGHT PARTNER TO LAUNCH
“FRAMING THE FUTURE” – A CAMPAIGN TO IMPACT KIDS’ EYE HEALTH GLOBALLY
MULTI-PLATFORM CAMPAIGN WILL EDUCATE, BUILD EMPATHY, ENCOURAGE ACTION TO MILLIONS WITH ORIGINAL SHORT FORM, DIGITAL CONTENT AND THEMED PROGRAMMING MARATHON
NEW YORK, NY – JULY 29, 2021—More than 230 million kids around the world under the age of 15 lack access to the glasses they need. To make a positive impact on kids’ eye health globally, Nickelodeon International’s “Together for Good” and OneSight, a leading global vision nonprofit dedicated to reaching the 1.1 billion people globally who lack access to eye care, today announced their partnership on a new, multi-territory and multi-platform pro-social campaign, “Framing the Future.”
Launching August 1st and culminating on World Sight Day, October 14th, the “Framing The Future” campaign will educate kids and families on the importance of eye health, clear vision and access to vision care on a global scale, through multi-property programming, original short form and digital content.
Broadcasting to more than 67 million households in 69 territories across the UK, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Southeast Asia, Latin America and Brazil, the campaign encourages empathy, action and advocacy by highlighting solutions in a mission to help kids who can’t see clearly, get the glasses they need to learn more and live better. The campaign will be supported by a digital hub (eyes.nickelodeon.tv), also accessible in the U.S. among other regions, where kids can pledge to take a few small actions such as protecting their eyes from the sun and taking breaks from their devices. These actions will result in their commitment to being Junior Glasses Champions, advocating for healthy eyes and clear vision for all. The digital hub will also contain quizzes, polls, activity sheets, eye charts, videos and facts and resources on eye health.
The network will also air a 3-hour “Eye Spy Toons” programming marathon in August, showcasing episodes featuring Nickelodeon’s spectacled characters from SpongeBob SquarePants, The Loud House, and ALVINNN!!! And The Chipmunks. Viewers will be challenged to find and count the number of characters wearing glasses, while factoids about eye health pop up during the marathon.
“Research indicates that 30% of students around the world are unable to live up to their learning potential because they cannot see clearly in the classroom,” says Jules Borkent, Executive Vice President, Kids & Family, ViacomCBS Networks International. “As millions of kids worldwide prepare to go back to school, Together for Good’s partnership with OneSight aims to encourage families to think about their own vision care needs by harnessing the power of storytelling and our global brand to educate and advocate for a more inclusive world.”
“Kids are able to learn up to twice as much when they have the glasses they need, but they don’t always realize they have a vision problem,” said K-T Overbey, President & Executive Director, OneSight. “Through our Together for Good partnership with Nickelodeon International, we seek to educate kids on the importance of routine eye exams, caring for their eyes, and encouraging others who may need glasses. We welcome families to join OneSight in our mission to bring vision care to the 1.1 billion people globally who lack access.”
Viewers will be encouraged to interact with the Together For Good “Framing The Future” campaign on social media using #FramingTheFuture to join others in this important vision movement.
Established in 2015, Together For Good is Nickelodeon International’s platform to inspire and empower its kid audiences to get involved in their communities and make positive changes in the world around them. LIVINGSTON, NJ — A Livingston High School (LHS) freshman who received life-altering news during the COVID-19 pandemic has since used her experience to help others with her condition and has recently added to her growing list of accolades as a result of her extraordinary volunteer work and overall character.
Later this week, 14-year-old Ava Thomas will represent New Jersey in the Jr. Teen division at the National American Miss Pageant in Orlando, Fla., where she will have the opportunity to win her share of more than $500,000 in cash and prizes.
In addition to facing the typical challenges all students faced during the pandemic, Thomas learned that she has a vision issue called convergence insufficiency, which causes blurry and/or double vision and a need for vision therapy. Despite the difficulties of confronting this condition, Thomas was determined to raise as much awareness as possible so that other kids with vision issues could have an easier school journey than she did.
Ava’s Allies, which also donated more than 100 “earsavers” that Thomas made herself to first responders in the Essex County Office of Emergency Management during the pandemic and has previously raised money for St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital and the Ronald McDonald House, is one of many aspects that recently led Thomas to earn the prestigious 2021 National American Miss state title and a chance to compete in the national pageant.
National American Miss Pageants are dedicated to “celebrating America's greatness and encouraging its future leaders,” according to National American Miss, Inc. The program that is designed to be age-appropriate and family-oriented, with pageants being held in each state for girls ages four to 18 in five age divisions.
Each year, about $1.5 million in cash, scholarships and prizes is awarded to assist the development of young women nationwide. This year, every girl that has qualified for the national pageant also has a chance to win a new 2021 Ford Mustang Convertible.
Thomas has competed in the National American Miss New Jersey State Pageant three times and was named third runner-up in 2016. During that year, her sister Soleil also competed and earned the title in the Jr. Pre-Teen division.
At age 14, Thomas is currently competing in the Jr. Teen division, which is open to teenage girls ages 13, 14 and 15. She and her fellow competitors in the statewide were judged in several categories, including an evening wear competition (30%), personal introduction (30%), a private interview with five judges (30%) and volunteer service (10%).
In optional competitions during which participants were judged by a separate panel of judges, Thomas also won the "Heart of Service" award for her volunteer work as well as the Top Model award.
Locally, Thomas also volunteers with the Community Food Bank of New Jersey in Hillside as well as Jersey Cares, for which she recently helped sort school supplies for its back-to-school drive and also hosts an annual Halloween costume drive alongside her sister on behalf of those who cannot afford costumes.
For the last three years, Thomas has participated in the Alzheimer’s Association’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s in memory of her Grandma Milly. Each year, Thomas makes thank you videos that are sent out to champion members and also makes surprise flower deliveries to thank Elite champion members.
She also has volunteer experience locally with Livingston Neighbors helping Neighbors, the Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter, Lyme Warrior and Home Front, a charity that helps families break the cycle of poverty.
In addition to her extensive volunteer work, Thomas also enjoys swimming, dancing, woodworking and playing with her dog, Maisie Grace.
