From the backyard to the big stage, the search is on for America’s most entertaining pets in Nickelodeon’s all-new comedic competition show, Unleashed (10 episodes). Hosted by superstar comedian Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias, the series brings the most impressive animal acts together to compete on stage in front of a jury comprised of kids and celebrity judges Peyton List (Cobra Kai), Preacher Lawson (America’s Got Talent, Connecting) and Utkarsh Ambudkar (Brittany Runs a Marathon, Free Guy) for the title of “Most Entertaining Pet” of the night. Unleashed will premiere on Nickelodeon UK & Ireland on Saturday 27th February 2021 at 3:30pm. Following launch, new episodes will continue to air weekends at 3:30pm on Nick UK & Eire. Each episode of Unleashed will feature three animal-loving pet owners and their loyal companions as they take the stage to showcase their pet’s extraordinary talents. From jaw-dropping tricks to hilarious skills, the pet contestants demonstrate their unique abilities… but anything can happen once the cameras start rolling. Acts throughout the season include a water-skiing squirrel, a cheerleading goat, a hedgehog with a knack for agility tricks and a soccer-playing horse. As each act performs, the celebrity judges and kid jury give their reactions before voting to crown the “Most Entertaining Pet” of the night.
Iglesias is no stranger to Nickelodeon, having appeared in season 6 of Nickelodeon's hit sketch comedy series All That in 2000.

Nickelodeon today (Feb. 19) released a super sneak peek preview of the network's upcoming live-action puppet comedy series The Barbarian and the Troll!
Announced in September under the working title Brendar the Barbarian, The Barbarian and the Troll (13 episodes) is a brand-new live-action puppet comedy series from co-creators Mike Mitchell (Trolls, The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part) and expert puppeteer Drew Massey (Mutt & Stuff, Sid the Science Kid).
The series follows Evan, a bridge troll in search of adventure, and Brendar, a fierce female warrior, on a quest to defeat the evil wizard who that rules over their land of Gothmoria, who has imprisoned her brother. The series is being filmed at North Shore Studios in Vancouver, Canada. Filming commenced on October 19th and is expected to wrap on February 12th, 2021.
In The Barbarian and the Troll, Evan, a troll who has never ventured out from under his bridge, decides to explore the world for the first time in search of a great adventure and inspiration to fulfill his dream of becoming a singer. He soon meets Brendar, Gothmoria’s most feared and revered warrior, and joins in her quest across treacherous terrain and confrontations with bizarre and magical creatures. Throughout their journey and encounters with an eclectic puppet cast of wacky characters, they both learn that they’re better together and form an unbreakable friendship.
The Barbarian and the Troll is set to premiere during early 2021 on Nickelodeon.
Although currently unconfirmed, Nickelodeon could be planning to premiere The Barbarian and the Troll on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at 8:30 p.m. (ET/PT).

Fans of Yo Gabba Gabba! were thrilled to see Nickelodeon's hit preschool series featured in the latest episode of WandaVision. Without getting into the particulars of the episode for those who haven't watched it yet, there was a moment in WandaVision where Brobee and his pals could be seen singing and dancing on television. This might seem insignificant to some, but the cameo of the show does officially make Yo Gabba Gabba "canon" in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
Yo Gabba Gabba originally ran for four seasons on Nickelodeon between 2007 and 2015, so many of the shows original viewers were either parents or now kids now old enough to watch WandaVision. Because of this, there were many people expressing their excitement to see the series merge with the MCU. Hours after the WandaVision episode "Breaking the Fourth Wall" arrived on Disney+, Yo Gabba Gabba had started trending on social media with viewers celebrating the nice surprise.
"yo gabba gabba in the mcu is the crossover we didn't ask for but needed," one popular tweet reads, including crying face emoji to imply tears of joy.
Acknowledging Yo Gabba Gabba also means that every guest star and band featured on the program now technically exists in the MCU. This is getting other fans excited for different reasons, with one tweet reading, "now that yo gabba gabba is canon. My Chemical Romance exists in the MCU as well as the aquabats."

Others are going so far as to posit other theories, such as one fan guessing that this will lead to the introduction of the Fantastic Four. "Yo Gabba Gabba is now canon in the MCU," says one fan. "What if they are the Fantastic 4 the guy is doctor doom and the robot is the silver surfer. Marvel/Disney with the 4d Chess."

One of the big reasons why it was so strange to see Yo Gabba Gabba on WandaVision is that Disney doesn't own the rights to the Nickelodeon series. However, neither does Nick. Although the series aired on Nickelodeon and Nick Jr., it's produced by The Magic Store Productions and WildBrain Entertainment (formally DHX Media), and distributed by WildBrain.
There's any number of children's programming that Marvel Studios could have pulled from Disney's library of content to use that wouldn't have required paying royalties to a competitor. Perhaps the producers are just really big Yo Gabba Gabba fans, but given the nature of WandaVision, some fans are wondering if there's a hidden meaning behind it.

Yo Gabba Gabba originally ran for four seasons on Nickelodeon between 2007 and 2015. Hosted by DJ Lance Rock, the series featured both live-action and animated segments featuring five costumed friends: Muno (he's tall and friendly), Foofa (she's pink and happy), Brobee (the little green one), Toodee (she likes to have fun), and Plex (a magic robot). Together, the group taught kids about everything from the importance of sharing to trying new foods.
It remains to be seen if DJ Lance Rock and his furry friends from Yo Gabba Gabba will return to the MCU at some point in the future. There are only a couple of episodes left of WandaVision, and chances are, the surprises are only going to be much more shocking from here. New episodes release every Friday on Disney+.

Avatar: The Last Airbender fans were thrilled when the critically acclaimed animated series was added to Netflix last year and the Nickelodeon animated show shot to number one on Netflix’s top ten list, becoming the top animated children's series on the streamer in 2020. The streamer is expanding the franchise with a live-action reimagining of the award-winning series, but many Avatar: The Last Airbender fans were disappointed when the original creators of the animated series left the live-action Netflix project over creative differences.
Bryan Konietzko shared the news in an Instagram post and Michael Dante DiMartino wrote about the situation in an open letter on his blog. With the original creators of the series leaving the project over creative differences many fans grew nervous about what it could mean for the live-action reimagining. However, Netflix has reportedly found the new showrunner for the live-action Avatar: The Last Airbender.
The live-action reimagining of Avatar: The Last Airbender has found their new showrunner with Albert Kim.
Albert Kim got his start as a writer and editor for Sports Illustrated, Entertainment Weekly, Details, and People. Kim worked as a Senior News Director at ESPN form 2005-2008 and created the entertainment news program ESPN Hollywood.
He made his jump to television writing by first working on the TNT heist series Leverage. He then worked as a writer on Nikita, working his way up from co-producer to co-executive producer. Following Nikita Kim worked as a writer and co-executive producer, then executive producer, on the Fox supernatural mystery drama Sleepy Hollow. Kim seems like a great fit as a showrunner for Avatar: The Last Airbender having worked on shows that include action, adventure, mystery, and more.
Nickelodeon’s Avatar: The Last Airbender was split into three seasons or books with the first two seasons being 20 episodes and the third 21. The animated series featured 30-minute episodes, as is standard for Nickelodeon shows. The new Netflix series will feature ten episodes with the episodes being about a hour long. This live-action series will not necessarily be an exact adaptation, which is further evidenced by the original creator exiting and that it’s described as a reimagining.
With hour long episodes it will be interesting to see how they adapt the beloved story of Avatar: The Last Airbender into a new series. The core of the series is the same with Aang and his friends working to save the world from Fire Lord Ozai’s tyrannical war, but how those adventures play out in the new show is what will be fun to watch.
New details about the main characters have also been revealed. Although they will likely be very similar to their animated counterparts, it’s important to note that this is a reimagining and there seems to be a bit of a difference in regards to age.
In the animated Avatar: The Last Airbender, Sokka is Katara’s older brother. Sokka is 15 and Katara is 14. It looks like the live-action reimaging is changing this up with Katara now the older sibling at age 16 and Sokka her younger brother at age 14. Aang will still be 12. (Well, technically about 112.)
This switch will likely have effects on the characters and their dynamic, with Katara having been the one to take care of Sokka and now a four-year age difference between Katara and Aang, instead of the original two years.
