SuperGroupies (スーパーグルーピーズ), a Japanese online retailer of apparel and sundries in collaboration with anime and video games, has teamed up with Nickelodeon to release a Avatar: The Last Airbender collection!
The range spans watches, keychains and backpacks each inspired by characters and elements from Nickelodeon's beloved animated series!
Each item in the collection is made to order. The pre-order period for the Avatar: The Last Airbender collection opened November 5, 2021 and will close on November 21, 2021. Estimated delivery range from mid-March and mid-June 2022, depending on the item.
The collection is available to purchase in the U.S. and Japan via us.super-groupies.com and super-groupies.com, respectively. Prices in the collection span ¥7,480 - ¥15,180 ($68.00 - $138.00).
SuperGroupies is releasing a number of collaboration items with Avatar: The Last Airbender.
Avatar: The Last Airbender, also known as Avatar: The Legend of Aang, is an American animated television series by the production company Nickelodeon Animation Studios. It was co-created by Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko with Aaron Ehasz in charge as head writer.
The story takes place in a world where human civilization consists of four nations: the Water Tribes, the Earth Kingdom, the Fire Nation, and the Air Nomads. In each nation, certain people have “bending” skills, an ability to manipulate and control the element corresponding to their nation, and they are accordingly called "benders": waterbenders, earthbenders, firebenders, and airbenders. The Avatar is the only person with the ability to bend all four elements and whose duty is to maintain harmony among the four nations. The Avatar reincarnates into each nation by rotation according to the Avatar cycle.
The story revolves around the journey of young Avatar Aang, last survivor of the Air Nomads, and his friends Katara, Sokka, and Toph. They travel together for Aang to learn all four bending arts and strive to end the Fire Nation's war against the other nations. It also follows the story of the Fire Nation's exiled prince Zuko who sets out to capture Aang to restore his lost honor.
Airing on Nickelodeon from 2005 to 2008 in the US, the show is often regarded as one of the greatest television series of all time, having won multiple awards including a Primetime Emmy Award.

物語は世界が4つの国、水の部族、土の王国、火の国、気の民に別れていて、それぞれ水、土、火、気の技を使うベンダーが存在する世の中を舞台にする。ある日、火の国が始めた戦争により気の民は滅んでしまい、主人公である少年「アン」だけが生き残る。「アン」は4つの技をマスターできる伝説の存在「アバター」であり、火の国の暴走を止めるため仲間になった「カタラ」とその兄「サカ」、そのあと合流する「トフ」と共に旅に立つ。一方、火の国の王子である「ズーコ」は自分の目的のため「アン」を捕まえる旅に出る。
アメリカで2005年から2008年の間放送されたこの作品はたくさんの人気を得て、アメリカで最も権威のあるエミー賞などたくさんの賞を受賞した。日本では2007年衛星チャンネルにて初放送された以降、2016年には全シーズンが日本語吹き替え版にて配信が開始された。
