New Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl patch for PC fixes Sandy’s infinite jablock, Michelangelo’s infinite jump glitch; Console versions should be getting the patch soon too.
Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl publisher GameMill Entertainment has confirmed a new patch is already headed to the PC version of the game starting today (Oct. 9).
Despite everyone having a good time with the fun gameplay, players have been pointing out several bugs with the game since it launched on Oct. 5. Developers are well aware of the issues, and the latest update should help sort out some of the most glaring ones.
Among this update's fixes are:
- Sandy's ability to perform an infinite combo has been addressed. Previously, Sandy had a sequence that led to a knockdown that couldn't be teched. Now it's possible to tech the setup and escape what was previously inescapable when getting hit by Sandy's jab.
- Michelangelo was also capable of infinitely jump cancelling his down special, even in situations where his double jump had already been expended. After securing a single hit, it was previously possible for Michelangelo to win any game by simply stalling out the match where it'd be impossible for the opponent to retaliate.
The rest of the changes are addressing things that aren't quite as game breaking. Although Sandy and Michelangelo's overall power levels will be toned down by the fixes, this patch does not appear to have any focus on balance adjustments. Those will likely come later.
The patch will also fix multiple visual bugs and add some general updates to make sure gameplay is working as intended. Here are the full patch notes for this new update to Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl:
- Fixed Sandy’s jab lock infinite.
- Fixed Michelangelo’s infinite jump from down special.
- Fixed Powdered Toast Man not having a respawn effect.
- Fixed jab reset effect triggering when it shouldn’t.
- Fixed tech not activating as intended if landing from launch state.
- Fixed selection disappearing when pressing down in last region.
- Now auto region is selected when there’s not a preferred region saved.
Although the patch is only dropping on PC for the time being, GameMill said details about an update for console versions of the game should be coming “early next week.”
