ATLA alumni Jennie Kwan (Suki) will be joined by an all star panel of Deedee Magno Hall (Steven Universe), Justine Huxley (Apex Legends), and Catero Alain Colbert (Naruto) to read a selection from the new comic set during Book 3 of Avatar: The Last Airbender. Avatar: The Last Airbender Voice Actress Jennie Kwan and More Special Guests Present a Live Reading of New Graphic Novel 'Suki, Alone'
Dark Horse and Nickelodeon are teaming up to bring fans another special live stream event from the most recent Avatar: The Last Airbender graphic novel, Suki, Alone. Voice actress Jennie Kwan (Suki in Avatar: The Last Airbender) is joined by fellow voice actors Deedee Magno Hall (Steven Universe), Justine Huxley (Apex Legends), Catero Alain Colbert (Naruto), and comic creators Faith Erin Hicks and Peter Wartman to bring the new graphic novel to life. The live stream will be broadcast on both Dark Horse Comics' Twitch and Nickelodeon's YouTube channels. The stream begins September 22, at 1:00 pm PST.
Guests will come together to read an excerpt from the latest graphic novel made from the Dark Horse and Nickelodeon partnership, Suki, Alone. Following the live reading, the comics creators and voice talent will join in a Q&A session about their work on and around the Nickelodeon series, and the guests will have the opportunity to compete in a round of Avatar: The Last Airbender trivia!
In Suki, Alone, Suki is captured by the Fire Nation and brought to the Boiling Rock, a grim prison in the middle of a dormant volcano. Separated from Team Avatar and her Kyoshi Warrior sisters, she decides to build her own community among other prisoners. But it's going to take more than an encouraging word to build trust among so many frightened people. Suki will need to draw on all her resources to do it, and even that might not be enough.
Enjoy all-new material from Faith Erin Hicks (The Nameless City; The Adventures of Superhero Girl) and Peter Wartman (Stonebreaker), with colors by Adele Matera. Written in consultation with original series writer Tim Hedrick!
