Cowabunga! Today at Ubisoft Forward, Ubisoft, in collaboration with ViacomCBS, announced that Raphael, Michelangelo, Leonardo, and Donatello from Nickelodeon's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will be available in Brawlhalla as Epic Crossovers on June 16.
On June 16, the arrival of the heroes in half shells kicks off an in-game event that features a new game mode called Crew Battles - which allows you to take up to six characters into combat at once, tagging them in and out as required to compete against each other on the battlefield - a new K.O. Effect featuring Shredder and the Foot Clan, and new Signature attacks by the Turtles with appearances by Master Splinter and Casey Jones.
There will also be new map art depicting the radical green sewers of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles with Free-For-All and 1v1 versions available. Additionally, four new totally tubular avatars featuring the Foot Clan symbol, Krang, the Technodrome, and an animated avatar with all the Turtle's faces will be available. All items will still be purchasable and playable after the event ends. The game mode and map will also still be playable after the event ends so that you can kick some serious shell whenever you desire.
The Turtle's appear to use skateboards for certain attacks and while dashing. And of course, each turtle gets their own individual weapons. Raphael has his pair of sai, Leonardo is dual-wielding katanas, Michaelangelo has his nunchaku, and Donatello has his staff. And for a group of turtles, they all appear to move relatively fast.
It’s Ninja Time! Sink your teeth into these four New Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Crossovers.
- Raphael – Epic Crossover for Ragnir – Raphael uses his skateboard, hot pizza, and shuriken in his Signatures. His main weapons feature his iconic dual Sai and a Turtle Crossing sign. Man, it feels good being a Turtle!
- Michelangelo – Epic Crossover for Val – With the help of Master Splinter, his Signatures include his skateboard and some cheesy pizza. Michelangelo is ready to fight using his iconic Nunchaku and some pizza boxing gloves. Cowabunga!
- Leonardo – Epic Crossover for Jiro – With Casey Jones and Master Splinter by his side, Leonardo’s Signatures also include his skateboard and some slices of pizza. Leonardo is armed with his dual swords and his trusty hockey stick from Casey Jones himself.
- Donatello – Epic Crossover for Mirage. The brainiac of the group, Donatello uses techy holograms of himself in his signature moves. His weapons feature a new Scythe invented with a M.O.U.S.E.R. head and his iconic Bo staff—guaranteed to make those bad guys say, “What the shell!?”
Each Epic Crossover is available for 300 Mammoth Coins via the in-game store. All items will still be purchasable and playable after the event ends. The game mode and map will also still be playable after the event ends—that totally calls for a high-three.
Brawhalla is available now on PlayStation and Xbox consoles, Switch, PC, as well as iOS and Android. In fact, about the only platform it isn't available on is the Atari 2600! You can dive into the action with the current roster over on the official Brawlhalla site.
The Smash Bros. style fighter has been a popular destination since launching in 2017 thanks to its entertaining gameplay and, of course, widespread availability. The game pits up to eight players against each other in over-the-top battles where the goal is to send your foe flying off the stage. Ubisoft acquired Brawlhalla developer Blue Mammoth Games in 2018, bringing the game under its umbrella.
Earlier this year, developer Tribute Games and publisher DotEmu announced Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge, a side-scrolling beat 'em up that takes inspiration from the brand's original 1987 animated TV series. Release date details presently remain under wraps, but fans can expect the title to hit consoles and PC in 2021.
