44 Cats Hosts ‘Cat Friday’ on Official Amazon Store in the UK, Italy and France

The ‘Cat Friday’ initiative will be online from today until 29th November in Italy and the UK, and until early December in France.


Black Friday weekend begins today, and 2020 will award 44 Cats fans with special deals on the 44 Cats Amazon official store for Cat Friday.

The original multi-territory initiative will be online from today (27th November) until 29th November in Italy and the UK, and until early December in France, where Black Friday has been delayed. Great offers await fans of the show that, with new episodes launching worldwide, is continuing to climb rating charts and win the heart of children and families.

In the UK, 44 Cats rated in the top six of all pre-school series on POP TV in Q2 of this year, with a peak of 5.5m audience in a month. The show increased its total viewership by 50% compared to the first quarter of the year. The series also airs on Nickelodeon, Nicktoons and Nick Jr. channels globally.

The exclusive Cat Friday will be hosted on the official Amazon store of the brand and 44 Cats store only for three days, in a dedicated section, with a wide choice of products at very reasonable prices that  involve children in many different games and will encourage them to have fun at home.

Netflix to Add 'The Legend of Korra' in Latin America and Brazil on Tuesday 15th December 2020

Netflix Latin America's (Latinoamérica) and Netflix Brazil (Brasil) will be adding The Legend of Korra, the critically acclaimed follow up to Nickelodeon's beloved Avatar: The Last Airbender animated series to its programming library on Tuesday 15th December 2020!


The news follows Netflix USA adding Avatar and Korra earlier this year, giving both series a second lease of life. Most recently, both series streamed on social TV platform Twitch in Latin America and Brazil.

Launched in April 2012, Nickelodeon’s The Legend of Korra ran for 52 episodes over four seasons ("Books"). Its first season premiered as basic cable’s number one kid’s show and drew 3.8 million viewers per episode, the highest for an animated series that year. Created and executive produced by Michael DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, the series is translated in more than 25 languages for Nickelodeon branded channels internationally. The property has translated into a successful ongoing graphic novel series written by TV series co-creator DiMartino. The first graphic novel storyline, Legend of Korra: Turf Wars, has captured various Top 10 sales spots across children’s fiction, YA science fiction, and graphic novel categories since its debut in 2017. The epic story of The Legend of Korra, set in the world of Avatar: The Last Airbender 70 years later, follows the journey of Avatar Korra, a 17-year-old girl striving to live up to the legacy of her predecessor Avatar Aang, while using her mastery of all four elements to confront political and spiritual unrest in a modernizing world.

The Legend of Korra is locally titled La Leyenda de Korra in Latin America and Avatar: A Lenda de Korra in Brazil.
   

The series made history by featuring an unmarried female same-sex couple in it's conclusion, which ended with Korra and Asami embarking on a romantic relationship, with fans endearingly calling the couple 'Korrasami'. Korra and Asami's relationship continues in comic book sequels to the series, including Ruins of the Empire.

The Legend of Korra cast includes Janet Varney (Stan Against Evil) as Korra, David Faustino (Married…with Children) as Mako, P.J. Byrne (Horrible Bosses) as Bolin, J.K. Simmons (The Closer) as Tenzin, Steve Blum (Cowboy Bebop) as Amon, Lance Henriksen (Aliens) as The Lieutenant, Mindy Sterling (Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery) as Chief Lin Beifong, Daniel Dae Kim (Hawaii Five-0) as Hiroshi Sato, Seychelle Gabriel (Falling Skies) as Asami Sato and Eva Marie Saint (Superman Returns) as Katara. Joaquim Dos Santos served as co-executive producer.

Netflix is currently developing a live-action adaptation of Avatar: The Last Airbender. The original creators of Avatar were originally slated to be a part of the live action series, and though they departed from it earlier this year, fans are crossing their fingers that it will still be a welcome part of the franchise that made Aang and friends so popular.

The first season of Nick en Casa is unfortunately coming to an end, but the digital series has one more reunion up its sleeve: In the series finale of Nick en Casa, host Isabella de La Torre (aka "La Bala") will be talking to Kira Kosarin and Jack Griffo, who played twins Phoebe and Max Thunderman on Nickelodeon's hit superhero-themed comedy, The Thundermans!

The Nick en Casa Thundermans special will premiere across Nickelodeon Latinoamérica's social media network - YouTube (en Español | em Português), Facebook (LatAm | BR) and IGTV (LatAm | BR) - on Thursday 26th November 2020 at 16:00 in Mexico and at 19:00 in Argentina and Brazil (Brasil).


The Thundermans is locally titled Los Thundermans in Latin America and Os Thundermans in Brazil; Nick en Casa is locally titled Nick em Casa in Brazil.

'Blue's Clues' Trends as Some Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade Viewers Realize Blue Is a Girl

Nickelodeon fans were introduced to the world of Blue's Clues back when the series debuted in 1996, with its popularity leading it to become one of the network's most well-known series, up until its conclusion in 2006. Thanks to the love of the character from fans, a reboot launched last year, Blue's Clues & You!, earning the titular pooch even more fans. Despite how famous the character might be among audiences of all ages, the series earning its own float at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade - which made its debut in 2019 - brought with it the reminder that Blue is meant to be a female dog, which many fans are only just now realizing.


Even though the series is named after her, much of the show's focus was on its host as they tried to find clues that Blue left to find out what activities the dog wanted to do on any given day, so it's understandable that, for as memorable as many components of the show are, that the dog's gender has slipped many viewers' minds.

'Animaniacs' Star Jess Harnell Recalls His Failed Audition for 'SpongeBob SquarePants'

Animaniacs star Jess Harnell shared his audition story for Nickelodeon's hit SpongeBob SquarePants series, even though he didn't land the role.


SpongeBob SquarePants almost sounded a little different. In an interview with CBR, Animaniacs star Jess Harnell recalled his audition for a role in the beloved animated Nickelodeon series, even though he didn't make the final cut.

Asked which one of his projects surprised him the most over his long career, Harnell recalled, "Sometimes, you never know what's going to really hit the bullseye in popular culture. I remember, years ago, I did a number of auditions for a certain cartoon and that came down to the wire and I almost got the role and I didn't, in the end. That's fine, because the guy who got it did a fantastic job, but I remember thinking, 'Well, you know, how long is a show about a talking sponge gonna last, anyway?'"

"So you never know! You never know what's going to hit the zeitgeist, and there's certain things you get your hopes up about and think, 'Oh, this one's gonna be a very big deal' and nobody ever hears of it! And there's other things that last forever," he added.


Harnell, of course, has played his fair share of iconic characters. In addition to his role as Wakko Warner in Animaniacs, he voiced Ironhide in the Transformers film series and Crash Bandicoot throughout the popular game franchise of the same name.  His past credits also include ChalkZone, Big Time Rush, TMNT, My Life as a Teenage Robot, The Wild Thornberrys, The Tick, Wreck-It Ralph, The Super Hero Squad Show, Drawn Together, Codename: Kids Next Door, Cars, Johnny Bravo, 2 Stupid Dogs and many more.

Debuting in 1999, SpongeBob SquarePants has remained popular on Nickelodeon for two decades, with an entire generation growing up with the character and his undersea home of Bikini Bottom. The show follows the title character as he balances his job at the Krusty Krab and his friendships with the other various characters in his hometown, including his neighbors Patrick and Squidward.

The new series of Animaniacs is streaming now on Hulu!

Nickelodeon Collaborates with Marlou Breuls and Laauw for SpongeBob Bag Collection

From Bikini Bottom to the catwalk!


Nickelodeon has partnered with the Amsterdam based designer Marlou Breuls and the Dutch fashion brand Laauw to launch a brand-new bag collection inspired by Nickelodeon's hit animated series, SpongeBob SquarePants!

Breuls, who previously launched a SpongeBob fashion line at Amsterdam Fashion Week 2019 as part of Nickelodeon's "Best Year Ever" initiative to celebrate 20 years of the beloved property, is once again inspired by iconic property for this collaboration. "It is fantastic to get inspiration from something that everyone knows. Every '90s kid grew up with the (sea) stars from Bikini Bottom,” said Breuls, who has collaborated with global stars such as Sia and Björk.

For this reason Breuls is also delighted that her designs are now available to everyone. “My couture collections are often eccentric and exclusive and therefore not necessarily wearable for many people. In this collaboration we have taken the strong SpongeBob elements of The Icon Collection with us and translated into a bag collection for everyone.”

For Joep Klerx, one of the owners of Laauw and a SpongeBob superfan, this collaboration was a dream come true: "When we came into contact with Nickelodeon and Marlou for this collaboration, it was literally a childhood dream come true."

The main intention of the collection was to make an affordable product with a mature look.

The collection consists of a wide range of designs for women and men in shades of SpongeBob yellow, grey and black. A selection of bags feature a design with yellow dots to replicate SpongeBob's porous holes. The shape of the character's hands have also been used to close some bags. Other rectangular bags have a wavy edge that refers to the shape of the figure. Each bag bears the names of the Bikini Bottom residents, such as SpongeBob, Mr. Krabs, Patrick Star, Squidward Tentacles, Sandy Cheeks, Plankton and Pearl Krabs.

To promote the collection, a one-of-a-kind bag in the shape of SpongeBob, including arms, legs and feet was produced. Unfortunately, this isn't part of the collection.

The bag collection, entitled SpongeBob x Marlou Breuls x Laauw is available from today (Wednesday 18th November 2020), exclusively on the Laauw webshop. Prices range from 129 euros to 249 euros.

The Culture Creators “C2 Summit” is a major initiative to engage, mentor and provide recruitment opportunities to students of color from historically black colleges and universities and all other public and private educational institutions. The summit hosts C-Suite level executives, thought leaders, and leading entrepreneurs across various industries such as business, entertainment, fashion, sports and many more. The C2 Summit experience offers students one-on-one mentorship, recruitment opportunities and career coaching. The program endeavors to recruit a diverse talent pool of young creators as they become the next generation of Culture Creators. 

Graciously welcoming partners ViacomCBS and Morgan Stanley,Culture Creatorstransitioned to a virtual summit and took place on November 21 and 22. Students were welcomed to virtually participate in an interactive slate of panels, professional recruiting, mentoring sessions, and Culture Chats. Новые линейки товаров для дома с героями «Щенячьего патруля» уже в продаже
Этой осенью ViacomCBS Consumer Products и лицензионное агентство WildBrain CPLG объявляют о масштабном обновлении продуктовых линеек с героями анимационного хита Nickelodeon – «Щенячиий патруль». Товары для дома с изображениями отважных щенят представят сразу три лицензиата: «ПРИОР Групп», Завод пластмассовых изделий «Альтернатива» и «Непоседа».

Компания «ПРИОР Групп», известный российский производитель посуды для взрослых и детей из стекла и фарфора, выпустила коллекцию стеклянной посуды «Щенячий патруль» под собственной торговой маркой «PrioritY». Она насчитывает 14 торговых наименований и включает стаканы, кружки, тарелки и наборы. С сентября продукция доступна во всех ключевых онлайн и офлайн-ритейлерах, включая Wildberries, Ozon и «Магнит». Приобрести посуду с анимационными персонажами и поучаствовать в специальной акции можно и в сети магазинов «О’кей». Чтобы о новинках узнали как можно больше покупателей, продукция включена в тематический каталог ритейлера. С февраля по март 2021 года «ПРИОР Групп» расширит текущую линейку и впервые на рынке под брендом «Щенячий патруль» выйдет фарфоровая посуда.

Завод пластмассовых изделий «Альтернатива», лидер на рынке по производству и реализации товаров народного потребления, товаров для детей, животных и сада, представила новую лицензионную детскую продукцию с «Щенячьим патрулем» уже в октябре этого года. Сразу после запуска доступны 8 торговых наименований, в дальнейшем компания планирует выпустить еще 4. Изделия изготовлены из высококачественного пластика, соответствуют всем нормам и безопасны для ребенка. На первом этапе в линейке представлены стаканы, кружки, контейнеры для бутербродов, а также комоды, контейнеры для хранения мелочей и игрушек и горшки-стульчики для малышей. Продукция доступна на Wildberries, «Беру», в сети «Кенгуру» и в магазинах других крупных ритейлеров.

«Непоседа», известный бренд, под которым производятся комплекты постельного белья для детей с любимыми героями мультфильмов, запустит в ноябре этого года новую коллекцию «Щенячий патруль», в которой будут представлены 8 торговых наименований. В их числе – не только 1,5 спальные комплекты постельного белья, но и комплекты в детскую кроватку (для самых маленьких), а так же новинки – декоративные подушки и шторы. Лицензионные товары появятся не только в основной тематике мультсериала: в этот раз производитель предлагает также постельное белье в популярных тематиках «Скорей спешим на помощь» и «Морской патруль», которые можно будет приобрести и онлайн (Wilberries, Оzon, Mamsy, «Чики Рики»), и офлайн («Лента», «Метро», «Ашан», Hoff и др).
