With New Danger Force Episode Scaling A 75% Lift in Live + 3 Viewing, Special Takes Light-Hearted Look at Superheroes Staying at Home

HOLLYWOOD, Calif.—April 27, 2020—Nickelodeon’s new hit Danger Force sees the team of superheroes-in-training raising the stakes and lightening the mood with a virtually produced special where the city of Swellview is quarantined from a way-too-natural gas leak from the nearby Bhutt Factory. Airing Saturday, May 9, at 8 p.m. (ET/PT), Danger Force: “Quaran-kini” features Captain Man, Schwoz and the Danger Force kids staying at home and setting a good example, but then Captain Man gets restless and becomes determined to find out who exactly is ‘behind’ the leak. The special also includes an at-home musical number of “This Gas Shall Pass” and features guest star Frankie Grande returning as the fan-favorite villain, Frankini.

Since its March 28 premiere, Nickelodeon’s latest live-action hit Danger Force has consistently posted double-digit gains in Live + 3 viewing. Most recently, a new episode (April 18, 2020) set a series record in Live + 3 posting a +75% increase with Kids 6-11 versus Live + SameDay viewership.

In Danger Force, four kids–Chapa (Havan Flores), Miles (Terrence Little Gardenhigh), Mika (Dana Heath) and Bose (Luca Luhan)–are recruited to attend Swellview Academy for the Gifted (SW.A.G. for short), a school conceived by Captain Man (Cooper Barnes) and brought to life by Schwoz (Michael D. Cohen), after having been accidentally mutated in the fight to save Swellview. While there, the kids must learn to harness their frequently troublesome and sometimes uncontrollable superpowers as they begin to fight crime. Despite the dangerous circumstances of their new lives, the superheroes must keep their real identities a secret from both from their families and the villains who are out to destroy them.

The Danger Force “Quaran-kini” special is written by Christopher J. Nowak (Henry Danger, Sam & Cat) and directed by Mike Caron (Henry Danger, Game Shakers). “This Gas Shall Pass” is written by Samantha Martin (Henry Danger The Musical). Danger Force is created and executive produced by Nowak, and is produced by Barnes and Jace Norman (Henry Danger). Production of Danger Force is overseen for Nickelodeon by Shauna Phelan, Senior Vice President, Live-Action Scripted Content. Omar Camacho serves as Nickelodeon’s Executive in Charge of Production for the series.

De Nederlandse en Vlaamse winnaars van de Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards 2020: Celebrate Together zijn bekend!

Zojuist is bekendgemaakt dat Gio, Bibi, Steffi Mercie en Camille Dhont de Nederlandse en Vlaamse winnaars zijn van de Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards 2020: Celebrate Together. De vier winnaars werden op creatieve wijze thuis verrast en mochten allemaal een felbegeerde Nickelodeon blimp in ontvangst nemen.

Bibi won in de categorie Favoriete Ster Nederland en versloeg hiermee Rico Verhoeven, FOURCE en Britt Dekker. Gio Latooy nam de prijs in ontvangst voor Beste Fan Squad en liet de fans van Marije Zuurveld, Quinsding en Stien Edlund achter zich. Steffi Mercie mag zich vanaf nu Favoriete Ster België noemen. Zij won het in deze categorie van haar landgenoten Nour en Fatma, IBE en Jade de Rijcke. Als laatste werd Camille Dhont uitgeroepen tot Favoriete Aanstormend Talent. Zij kreeg in deze categorie meer stemmen dan haar tegenstanders Ridder van Kooten, Amira Tahri en Silver Metz.

Tussen de internationale winnaars die afgelopen zaterdag tijdens een virtueel geproduceerde show gepresenteerd door Victoria Justice (Victorious) bekend werden gemaakt, zaten onder andere Ariana Grande, Shawn Mendes, Tom Holland, Billie Eilish, Beyonce, Ellen Degeneres, Henry Danger, Stranger Things en Taylor Swift.

De Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards 2020: Celebrate Together is vanavond om 18:30 uur te zien op Nickelodeon in Nederland en Vlaanderen. Nickelodeon is counting down the most out of control pranks from the hidden camera show The Substitute with a new special: The Substitute Top 10 Wildest Pranks. Revealing the hit series’ funniest and craziest moments, the special will include bonus, never-before-seen footage and show guest stars Asher Angel, Cooper Barnes, The Bella Twins, John Cena, Kel Mitchell, NE-YO, Jace Norman, Johnny Orlando, Rico & Raini Rodriguez, Lilly Singh, JoJo Siwa and Shaun White. The Substitute Top 10 Wildest Pranks premieres Saturday, May 9, at 8:30 p.m. (ET/PT) on Nickelodeon.

The Substitute features celebrities who are transformed by a team of Hollywood special effects artists to go undercover as the most insane substitutes, surprising unsuspecting kids in schools, camps and other locations. After a day full of ridiculous mayhem, the substitute reveals themselves and the featured school receives a donation for $25,000.

Season one of The Substitute premiered January 31 with guest stars The Bella Twins after previewing in October with international superstar John Cena and in November for a holiday-themed episode with Grammy Award-winning artist and performer NE-YO. The season follows the strong performance of two specials that aired in 2019 with guest stars Jace Norman and Lilly Singh.

The Substitute is produced by Industrial Media’s The Intellectual Property Corporation. The first, featuring "Power Rangers Time Force" leads Jason Faunt, Kevin Kleinberg, Michael Copon, Erin Cahill and Vernon Wells, will take place on Saturday, May 16 at 5 p.m. ET / 2 p.m. PT. The next, the cast of Nickelodeon's "Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide," Devon Werkheiser, Lindsey Shaw, Daniel Curtis Lee and Rob Pinkston, is set for Sunday, May 17 at 5 p.m. ET / 2 p.m. PT. "Dragon Prince" voicers Paula Burrows, Jesse Inocalla, Luc Roderique, Adrian Petriw and Cole Howard, follow on Tuesday, May 19, at 9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT. Finally, the cast of "Versailles," Elisa Lasowski, Anna Brewster and Jessica Clark, begin on Sunday, May 24, at 3 p.m. ET / noon PT.

Additionally, the "1996 Yankees Champions" featuring Baseball Hall of Famer Wade Boggs and Dwight Gooden has been rescheduled for Sunday, May 17, at 1 p.m. ET / 10 a.m. PT.

During each session, the celebrities will participate in a FREE live moderated video Q&A, followed by one-on-one video chats, recorded videos and autographs. Sessions are accessible to virtual attendees on their computer and mobile devices via http://wizd.me/virtual.
