Fans in Brazil are theorizing that an early episode of Drake & Josh may have inspired iCarly, following Nickelodeon Brazil (Brasil) starting to re-air the series!
At the end of the episode "Honor Council", a short 'web' clip plays during the credits in which Megan and Addie Singer (special guest star Emma Roberts, who played her Unfabulous character) play a trick on Josh (Josh Peck). The clip is "embedded" in a webpage with the address meganparker.com, which means that Megan was making short web videos before iCarly!
And what do Megan and Carly have in common? They're both played by the same actor, Miranda Cosgrove! In fact, in the Drake & Josh movie "Really Big Shrimp", which was supposed to serve as Drake & Josh's series finale, the "Now Playing" sign above The Premiere movie theater where Drake and Josh work says that it's playing the movie "Now She's Carly", an obvious reference to Miranda now moving on to play Carly Shay in iCarly!
And that's not all! Following the launch of iCarly, meganparker.com started to redirect to the official iCarly website, icarly.com!
It isn't that hard to imagine that the Drake & Josh 'web' clip featuring Megan and Addie as being the inspiration for iCarly, as both shows were created by Dan Schneider.
What do you think? Could the short clip at the end of Drake & Josh have been the inspiration for iCarly? Let me know in the comments below!
