In the short clip, the 33-year-old is seen standing in the bathroom in a white t-shirt with his hair slicked back while holding a washcloth and a bottle of Windex. Bell then sprayed some cleaner on the mirror and wiped once, which was followed by the music kicking in. As the song said wipe, he would do just that, but he wipes the mirror for the fourth time we see Drake disappear, replaced by Totally Kyle, complete with a long wavy blonde wig.
Bell pretended to be shocked at the transformation and looked down at his cloth with confusion before throwing it at the mirror and walking off the screen.
Fans will remember that one of the sketches on the show had Bell starring as a blonde and tie-dye-wearing rocker kid with a laid-back hippie surfer personality named Kyle who told silly stories and sounded like he was plucked right off of a California beach. Kyle always said, “Totally!” at the end of his stories, coinciding with the title of the sketch: “Totally Kyle.”
The long blonde hair and the tie-dye shirt were back, and his expression was hilarious, as Totally Kyle looked quite happy to be back. When the next wipe occurs though, we see Drake looking pretty freaked out, as it appears Totaly Kyle didn't exactly clear his return with him.
This was a great way to take on the challenge and include a bit of fan service at the same time, and you can watch it in the video below.

For those who don't remember, Bell was a part of Amanda Byne's hit Nickelodeon sketch comedy series The Amanda Show, itself a spinoff of the popular show All That. Bell reprised the character of Totally Kyle several times on the show, and his trademark look was the long blonde hair, the tie-dye shirt, and an electric guitar, which he always had on him. Totally!
The video debuted on Drake Bell's TikTok then later made the rounds on Twitter and exploded with more than 90,000 retweets and 350,000 likes.
One fan referenced one of Totally Kyle's famously-bad stories about when he saw a spider. "And I was like "AAAAAHHHH SPIDER" and the spider was like "AAAAAHHHH KYLE," the user wrote.
This was a nice throwback for sure, and fans might get to see him reprise another Nickelodeon role if things work out with the much-teased Drake & Josh revival. Bell recently teased an idea the duo has for the project, though he wouldn't give any time frame.
“We’re working on something,” Bell told People. “I’m excited. I think we have a great idea. [The show] is going to be way more creative, way cooler than just you know the college years or something like that. We knew that if we were ever going to come back, it’s got to be something cool. I’m excited to see what the fans think.”
Hopefully we get to see that happen, and who knows, maybe Totally Kyle will also show up.
While Bell’s “Wipe It Down” take is great in its own right, it’s not the first time he’s brought Kyle to the social media platform.
Earlier this month, the Drake & Josh star posted a video of himself wearing his Kyle digs in tandem with an old clip from The Amanda Show. You’d almost never know that nearly 20 years have passed between the clip and present-day Bell:

He also revisited his Drake and Josh character for a similar video, and even schooled fans on the correct lyrics for the show's theme song in another.
Always a fan of embracing his Nickelodeon past, Bell has treated fans to several nostalgia moments over the years. Back in 2018, he decided to visit the Drake and Josh house during a fun-filled outing. Instead, he found that the Encino, Calif. house had been torn down, and documented the moment on Twitter. "What's up everybody. I came to check out the Drake and Josh house and it is gone," he said. "All that remains is this mailbox."
