As SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated, THQ Nordic's remastered edition of the beloved 2003 video game may be a little while away yet, some fans are revisiting the original release - and getting a shocking surprise!
Xbox player flabbyfinn has taken to Twitter to showcase a graphical glitch in the 2003 release of SpongeBob: Battle for Bikini Bottom, in which SpongeBob's entire face appears to be drooping to one side. Oh, and he's missing an eye as well. Talk about creepy.
Flabbyfinn noted that the issue only happens when playing specifically on Xbox 360 via backwards compatibility, which is known to cause glitches in certain games. Check out a photo of the mangled Nickelodeon star below:

As if that wasn't terrifying enough, it's also mentioned that whenever you bungee jump in the Xbox 360 version, "SpongeBob's eyes start flying off in random directions." The game apparently works fine "85 percent of the time". Hopefully the other 15% looks will be rectified in the upcoming Battle for Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated remaster for modern consoles.
