Power Rangers Beast Morphers Season 2 Official First Look Trailer

Power Rangers Beast Morphers Season 2 Official First Look Trailer

Check out this first look from Power Rangers Beast Morphers Season 2! It's game time!

"In season 2 of POWER RANGERS BEAST MORPHERS, Evox returns and he’s more powerful than ever! The Power Rangers will gain access to all new power upgrades, powerful new weapons, and epic new Megazords in order to protect the Morphin Grid and save the world!

Episode 1 “Believe It or Not” premieres Saturday Feb 22 at 8AM ET/PT on Nickelodeon USA!

Contrary to what past years’ trends have left fans expecting, this year’s team won’t be Super Beast Morphers. Or Beast Super Morphers. The show’s 2020 season will officially be known simply as the second season of Power Rangers Beast Morphers - and the 27th season overall of the iconic and long-running Power Rangers franchise.

Power Rangers Beast Morphers Season 2 will feature the return of Doctor K from Power Rangers RPM, as well as a dino-themed team-up starring Austin St. John, the original Red Mighty Morphin Power Ranger (Jason Lee Scott). Select heroes from Power Rangers Dino Charge including Brennan Mejia (Tyler the Dino Charge Red Ranger), Yoshi Sudarso (Koda the Dino Charge Blue Ranger), and Davi Santos (Ivan the Dino Charge Gold Ranger) will also return for the dino-themed teamup.

As you can see, the Rangers will now have to face an even deadlier Evox this season, so they'll need all the help they can get to take him down. Luckily they'll have an assortment of new weapons to help with that courtesy of Grid Battleforce, including a slick new bow Nate can be seen wielding called the Beast-X King Battle Bolt.

It wouldn't be a new season of Power Rangers without some new armor, and we get our first look at Beast-X Battle Mode, which gives each Ranger armored chest plates and armored shoulders, gauntlets, and boots. With these new powers in hand, the Beast Morphers team will be charged with taking on Robo Blaze, a brand new villain coming in 2020. Who is Robo Blaze, and how is he different from the villain the Rangers defeated in the first season? Fans will have to find out when the show premieres in 2020.

Last but not least the clip shows off one of the new Megazords, and the blue and gold Zord does not disappoint, sporting a dual bladed weapon and a shield, and we cannot wait to see what else it can do.

The season will include 22 brand new episodes, including two holiday themed specials set to air around Halloween and the Christmas holidays.

Below are the currently announced Power Rangers Beast Morphers season two episodes set to debut on Nick USA:

Saturday, February 22, 2020 at 8:00 a.m. - Believe It or Not: The Rangers are skeptical when Steel says he's found clues that proves Evox may have returned (#1001)

Saturday, February 29, 2020 at 8:00 a.m. - Believe It or Not: Save Our Shores

Each episode will air on Nickelodeon USA at 8 a.m. ET/PT. The season will then last the duration of the year, with an annual summer hiatus set to cover the length of the summer. PRBM season two is also expected to air on Nickelodeon in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Greece and India, and POP in the U.K.

Power Rangers Beast Morphers will have 44 episodes in its entirety, and air on Nickelodeon from 2019-2020.

Fans can check out the official Power Rangers Beast Morphers synopsis below.

"Set in the future, a secret agency combines a newly discovered substance called “Morph-X” with animal DNA to create the Power Rangers Beast Morphers team. The Rangers must fight off an evil sentient computer virus bent on taking over the source of all Ranger power, the Morphin Grid itself. Featuring never-before-seen leather suits and an all-new beast-themed arsenal (including dynamic new Zords), fans should get ready for a season full of secret ops and morphinominal fun."

Power Rangers Beast Morphers stars Rorrie Travis as Devon the Red Ranger, Jasmeet Baduwalia as Ravi the Blue Ranger, Jackie Scislowski as Zoey the Yellow Ranger, Abraham Rodriguez as Nate, Colby Strong as Blaze, Liana Ramirez as Roxy, Kristina Ho as Betty, and Cosme Flores as Ben.

Update (2/12) - Hasbro recently discussed Power Rangers during its Q4 2019 earnings call with investors!:

[...]

The team is actively working to leverage eOne's brands across global multi-category licensing efforts and are already making great progress. We will share more about our plans at our upcoming investor meeting. We leverage and created compelling entertainment to drive creativity across brands. Partner Brand portfolio revenues grew 24% for the full year, and 50% in the fourth quarter. Disney's Frozen 2 and Descendants 3, Marvel's Avengers and Spider-Man franchises, and Star Wars contributed to the gains for the year. We added POWER RANGERS to our Hasbro-owned portfolio, executing the brand across our blueprint in consumer products, entertainment and digital gaming. 2020 will be our first full year globally, and we will offer new expressions across product, gaming, story and experience.

[...]

Overall, Hasbro's revenue grew at actual and constant rates. And on an as reported and adjusted basis, operating profit increased. Looking at our segments, US and Canada segment revenue grew 3% for the year with growth in Partner and Emerging Brands. Underlying profit was essentially flat as we absorbed higher royalty costs in support of strong Partner Brand growth, higher intangible amortization associated with POWER RANGERS, and higher shipping and warehousing costs from carrying more domestic inventory and managing an increasingly just-in-time retail network.

Brian D. Goldner -- Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer

We saw growth across each of that discrete parts of the Entertainment, Licensing and Digital business. Our consumer products, licensing business was up, our digital gaming business was up with a number of our digital games with partners performing incredibly well, including YAHTZEE With Buddies, which was a top 50-game on the Apple App Store. We had a new MONOPOLY game launching from Marmalade Studio that launched in December and chartered as number one as it launched. Our POWER RANGERS digital games continue to perform well. And in the first quarter 2020, we have a G.I. Joe game in support of the brand, called G.I. Joe: War on Cobra that launches in Q1, as well as Scrabble GO game that will launch from Scopely in Q1.

So digital gaming grew, our entertainment business grew, and our Wizards digital business all grew in 2019. Arena grew throughout the year. Arena grew in the fourth quarter, offset by a bit of decline in the legacy Magic: The Gathering online business. But overall Arena had a fantastic year and we expect continued progress as I outlined, expansion of the brand across multiple platforms for 2020.

Eric Handler -- MKM Partners -- Analyst

Yes, thank you very much for the question. Two things. First, can you talk a little bit about, for modeling purposes, the seasonality associated with with eOne? I know you're going to talk a little bit about this during the analyst meeting but for modeling purposes now, wondering if you could talk a little bit about this. And then also you've alluded in the past about this sort of being a flexion year for POWER RANGERS. Wonder if you could go into some details about POWER RANGERS and some of the products that you've got for this year?

Debbie Hancock -- Vice President, Investor Relations

Sure. So, Eric, as I mentioned, we are actually just working on finalizing our combined budgets with eOne and really looking at the seasonality. So much of their seasonality in their family and brands business is very similar to our seasonality, our historical seasonality. But in the television and film business, it's really dependent on -- actually very similar to us last year. One of the things Brian didn't mention in our entertainment and licensing is we had a big delivery of our streaming revenue last year, which offset some of the benefits we're seeing on the revenue side in entertainment and licensing. But so much of that is dependent around delivery. So will give a bit more color on that as we move into the February 21 date.

[...]

Brian D. Goldner -- Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer

And for POWER RANGERS, it was a great year on Beast Morphers. It was a strong year one. Recognize that the bulk of our business really didn't begin until the second quarter in 2019. In 2020, we have the benefit of the full year. And as we look at our ratings on Nickelodeon, we are number one in our time slot for kids two to 11. Season 2 of Beast Morphers launches Q1 in North America and it will roll out globally. We're very excited about the brand, as we continue to execute in gaming, in consumer products, and toys and games, and we'll also add an array of experiences -- live experiences for the brand as we roll out globally. So we believe in the growth prospects of the brand, and the teams are very excited about executing across the blueprint.

From ScreenRant:

Watch The New Power Rangers Beast Morphers Season 2 Opening Credits

In advance of the season two premiere, Power Rangers Beast Morphers releases its official title sequence as well as a preview of the new episode.

In advance of the season two premiere, Power Rangers Beast Morphers has released its official title sequence as well as a preview of the new episode, "Believe It Or Not." Beast Morphers is the 21st show in the never ending Power Rangers series that dates back to Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers in the early '90s. It follows a new team of rangers who live in the near future where the power of the Morphin' Grid has been turned into a limitless clean energy source called Morph-X for the city of Coral Harbor. That team's powers come from combining Morph-X with animal DNA to create the titular Beast Morphers.

The new rangers, Devon (Rorrie D. Travis), Zoey (Jacqueline Scislowski), Ravi (Jazz Baduwalia), Nate (Abraham Rodriguez), and the robotic Steel (Jamie Linehan) are charged with protecting the Morph-X from a villainous sentient computer virus called Evox (Randall Ewing). Evox and his right-hand man Scrozzle (Campbell Cooley) were believed to have been defeated at the end of the show's first season.

Power Rangers: Who Was The Original Gold Ranger?

The upcoming second season of Beast Morphers will be the 27th season in the Power Rangers series and fittingly comes with a new title sequence. However, it keeps the first season's song that harkens back to the original Mighty Morphers. The sequence shows off plenty of new action, weapons, and Megazords, but the most significant change from season 1 is the addition of a character card for Gold Ranger, Nate. Steel, The Beast Bot and Silver Ranger, is seen throughout the title sequence but doesn't receive a character card of his own. Check out the opening title sequence, as well as a preview of season 2 episode 1 courtesy of Power Rangers Official [... .]

Along with the videos of the episode comes an official description of what fans have in store for them:

In season 2 of POWER RANGERS BEAST MORPHERS, Evox returns and he’s more powerful than ever! The Power Rangers will gain access to all new power upgrades, powerful new weapons, and epic new Megazords in order to protect the Morphin Grid and save the world! In episode 1, “Believe It Or Not,” The Rangers are skeptical when Steel says he’s found clues that proves Evox may have returned.

With the rangers' initial distrust of Steel's, admittedly conspiratorial, instincts, the group looks like they'll find themselves in immediate peril when the episode kicks off. With Evox and his Cyber Dimension allies not so easily defeated, the Beast Morphers are about to be pushed further than ever before. That danger will even require a team-up with the original Red Ranger, another in the series' storied history of iconic returns. This new series, the first from Hasbro's television brand Allspark, is off to a promising start, and it's good to see the series continuing to bring new and exciting things to the table. All this and more will be waiting for fans when season 2 of Power Rangers Beast Morphers begins this Saturday, February 22 at 8:00 AM on Nickelodeon.
