Nickelodeon Brazil (Brasil) has announced the finalists of Meus Prêmios Nick 2019, Nickelodeon's Brasil's 20th annual local version of the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards!


Update (27/9) - Nickelodeon Brasil has announced the exciting news that Melim will be performing at Meus Prêmios Nick 2019, taping on Wednesday 16th October 2019 and airing on Saturday 19th October 2019 at 19:00!

Meus Prêmios Nick is Brazil's largest children's and teen awards, and celebrates kids’ favourites from the worlds of entertainment, music, sports and more! Like previous years, Meus Prêmios Nick 2019 will feature lots of musical performances, irreverence, orange blimps, jokes, social responsibility and, of course, slime!

Over the past month, NickHeads in Brazil have been voting for their favourites to become finalists in each category, with the top four (out of eight) most voted for nominees in each of the 20 voting categories going onto the final stage of voting.

To celebrate the 20th annual MPN, this year's awards will include three new categories celebrating the best of the best over the last 20 years.

In "Melhores Apresentadores (20 anos)", kids can vote for their favourite Meus Prêmios Nick presenter: Lucas Silveira (2010), Di Ferrero (2010), Rodrigo Faro (2012), Sabrina Sato(2014), Fabio Porchat (2015), Christian Figueiredo (2016), Larissa Manoela (2017) and Maisa (2018).

In the "Melhor Show (20 anos)" category, fans can vote for their favourite Nickelodeon show from the last 20 years: NXZero (2009), Anitta (2015), Luan Santana (2018), Kally’s Mashup (2018), Big Time Rush (2012), Drake Bell (2010) and Ludmilla (2016).

Meus Prêmios Nick wouldn't be Meus Prêmios Nick without slime! Fans can vote for their favourite slimy moment from the past 20 years in the "Slime Épico" category: Isa TKM (2009), Di Ferrero e Lucas Silveira (2010), Spencer – iCarly (2013), MariMoon e Larissa Manoela (2013), Fábio Porchat (2014), Eduardo Sterblitch (2014), Felipe Castanhari (2017) eMaisa, Matheus and Kauan (2018).

Viacom Italy Buys Remaining Stake in Italian Kids Channel Super!

Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN), a division of Viacom, has announced the acquisition of the remaining 50 per cent of Super Broadcast S.R.L., the company that owns and operates the Italian free-to-air (FTA) kids’ TV channel, Super!, from De Agostini Editore, which has so far been operated as a joint venture. The deal will see Super! be added to Viacom Italy’s portfolio as the American media conglomerate continues to expand in the region. Moving forward the channel will be fully operated by Viacom Italy, integrated into the existing content structure led by Senior Vice President (SVP) of editorial content Sergio Del Prete.


Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.

Super! is aimed at children aged 4-14 with a pipeline of local and International content, including programming from Nickelodeon. As part of this transaction, De Agostini Editore will continue to collaborate with VIMN Italy providing De Agostini’s original content to the channel.

“Super! Has gone far beyond our expectations: launched in 2012 in an overcrowded market, by 2018 the channel had gained a leading position in the kids Italian sector, which was achieved for a second year in 2019. Now we’re passing it to Viacom, who will further enhance the heritage of the brand Super!. We, as De Agostini, will focus our efforts on our channels distributed on Pay TV, on our digital platforms as well as on content production and co-production, which we have already successfully developed in these past few years”, affirmed Pierfrancesco Gherardi, Managing Director Digital Division, De Agostini Editore.

Through the acquisition of Super! Viacom in Italy will reach more than 35 million viewers per month and strengthen its position in the market as one of the most important international media networks in Italy. Super!'s TV audience share amounted to 7.5 percent in the demo of children aged 4- to 14 from June through August, according to the firm.

Viacom already owns and operates three free-to-air digital terrestrial TV channels in Italy – Paramount Network, Spike, VH1 – and also owns 11 branded channels including Nickelodeon, Nick Jr., TeenNick, MTV and Comedy Central, which are all distributed on Italy’s leading pay platform, Sky Italia.

VIMN took an initial 50% stake in Super! in 2017 as a joint venture (JV) with De Agostini Editore as part of a drive to extend its presence in the Italian FTA market, with VIMN Chief Executive Officer (CEO) David Lynn noting that free-to-air distribution helped the company grow ratings and revenues in TV markets where free-to-air networks are predominant.

At the same time as the initial Super! deal, VIMN acquired a digital FTA frequency to launch a local version of Spike in a market that is home to the highest number of FTA channels in Europe.

Earlier this month, VIMN made yet another move in Europe with the appointment of former Disney SVP and ITV Studios head Maria Kyriacou as president for UK, Northern and Eastern Europe, responsible for overseeing all of the company’s media networks and related businesses in 33 European countries.

De Agostini Editore, meanwhile, inked a global distribution agreement with BBC Studios in July for the Italian-language kids series New School. Produced for Italian-language kidsnet DeAKids and airing on Super!, the 78 x 15-minute comedy is aimed at six- to 12-year-olds.

Italy, which has the most free-to-air channels of any European TV market and is the third-largest European territory in terms of advertising revenue, has long been a focus market for Viacom, which has added free-to-air brands to its pay TV presence there. "Free-to-air channel launches have helped us significantly expand our reach amongst Italian TV viewers, and we’re ambitious for future share growth in this valuable and important TV market," David Lynn, president and CEO of VIMN, had said in 2017.

The deal comes ahead of Viacom's planned combination with sibling company CBS Corp., which is expected to close in the coming months.

La nostra rassegna stampa della mattina, con gli estratti degli articoli più interessanti: la rete kid di De Agostini passa al gruppo americano.

A Viacom Italia il 100% d Super!

Nell’autunno del 2017 il gruppo televisivo Viacom Italia aveva acquistato il 50% del canale Super! di De Agostini (all’lcn 47 del digitale terrestre), iscrivendo quella quota nel bilancio di esercizio 2018 a un valore di 1,9 milioni di euro. Adesso completa l’operazione rilevando il restante 50% (si stima per una cifra non molto superiore), e portandosi a casa, quindi, il quarto canale in chiaro sul ddt dopo Paramount network (all’lcn 27), nato nel marzo 2016, Vh1 (all’lcn 67), lanciato nel luglio 2016, e Spike (all’lcn 49), partito nell’ottobre 2017.

Insomma, rimasto sostanzialmente assente dalla tv in chiaro nell’estate 2015, a seguito della cessione dell’lcn 8 a Sky Italia, il gruppo Viacom, sulla spinta del suo amministratore delegato Andrea Castellari, ha poi ricostruito una solida massa critica nella tv free, che nell’esercizio 2018 pesava, quanto a ricavi, per il 34,4% sul totale di 80,4 milioni incassati. Importante, per Castellari, mantenere Viacom su tutte le piattaforme distributive. Ovvio che la più rilevante fonte di ricavi resti Sky, a cui Viacom cede in esclusiva i canali di Mtv, di Nickelodeon e di Comedy Central (valgono quasi il 50% sul totale ricavi). Ma poiché a giugno 2020 scade il contratto quinquennale e non si sa mai come vanno a finire le cose, ecco che la tv in chiaro va presidiata con cura.

COLUMBUS, OH – After more than three decades of battling evil and exemplifying teamwork, the beloved Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT) are now appearing in a museum exhibit at the Center of Science and Industry (COSI) in Columbus, Ohio. The four funny “heroes in a half shell” will share life lessons and team-building skills with their crime-fighting tactics in Nickelodeon’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles™: Secrets of the Sewer™, which opened on Saturday, September 21, 2019, and will be at the museum until Sunday, January 5, 2020.

Visitors will be transported to the underground home of the crime-fighting heroes to see what really happens in their secret hideaway. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles brothers Leonardo (the tactical, courageous leader in blue), Michelangelo (the free-spirited jokester in orange), Raphael (the aggressive tough guy in red), and Donatello (the scientist and technological genius in purple) invite families to their New York City sewer lair to train together and learn about the Turtles’ comedic, skillful strategies.

The Turtles are known and respected for their teamwork. As the TMNT’s sensei and adoptive father Splinter often tells them, “Together there is nothing you cannot accomplish.” Through team-building challenges, collaborative games and mind-teasing puzzles, visitors will learn skills to help them successfully work together through activities such as:

• Build a “bridge” together and think creatively as a team to overcome challenges.
• Assemble two electrical circuit puzzles by taking one apart to build another.
• Plan ahead and use patience to navigate the rope maze.
• Practice ninja speed while playing a dexterity-based computer game.
• Shred up and practice your balance on skateboards.
• Create a sewer pipe together and see where it goes.

BURBANK, Calif.—Aug. 28, 2019—Nickelodeon has greenlit a new high-stakes competition series, Top Elf, and ordered a full series pickup of The Substitute, it was announced today by Rob Bagshaw, Executive Vice President, Unscripted Content. Top Elf, which begins production in September on five one-hour episodes, features kid contestants with extraordinary building and design skills competing for the coveted title of Top Elf.

Hidden camera prank show The Substitute has been picked up for a full 10-episode series order, following the strong performance of two specials which aired earlier this year. Production on The Substitute is underway, with the series premiere airing this October.

Said Bagshaw, “Giving our audience a range of unscripted content in different formats is one of our top priorities. Top Elf is an irresistible opportunity to celebrate the holidays with a uniquely comedic approach to a high-stakes competition. Our first new format from this division earned high marks from our audience, so we’re very pleased to order The Substitute for a full series.”

In Top Elf, Santa has invited seven civilian “Elf-testants” to the North Pole in a competition that tests their skills in a series of holiday-themed challenges. Demonstrating the true spirit of the holidays, the Elf-testants compete to have their wish lists granted--not for themselves, but for someone in their community.

The Substitute features stars who are transformed by a team of Hollywood special effects artists to go undercover as professionals in various fields, surprising unsuspecting kids in schools, camps and other locations. During the reveal at the end of the day, each organization receives a $25,000 donation. The Substitute’s first special debuted in April with guest star Jace Norman (Henry Danger), and the second special premiered in May, guest starring multitalented comedian Lilly Singh.

Top Elf is created by Mike Duffy and Tim Duffy of Ugly Brother Studios, who will executive produce the series along with Jimmy Fox at Main Event Media, an All3Media America company. Bob Schermerhorn (Project Runway All Stars, America’s Next Top Model) and Lisa Fletcher (The Titan Games) are executive producers, with Fletcher also serving as the showrunner. Nickelodeon’s Vice Presidents of Unscripted Content Paul J Medford and Mandel Ilagan also serve as executive producers. Michael Pearlman (Chopped, Project Runway All Stars) will direct the series.

The Substitute is produced by Industrial Media’s The Intellectual Property Corporation. Eli Holzman, Aaron Saidman and Todd Hurvitz (Punk’d), serve as executive producers, with Hurvitz also serving as the showrunner. Producers for Nickelodeon are now casting for a new kids reality competition called “Top Elf“. The show and their casting team are looking for kids that are between the ages of 9 and 13 for a holiday reality competition show, like no other, for the Nickelodeon Network.

From Emmy award-winning producers Main Event Media and Ugly Brothers Studios comes “Top Elf.” Top Elf is created by Mike Duffy and Tim Duffy (Ugly Brother Studios) the duo will also be serving as executive producers on the Nickelodeon show along with Jimmy Fox (Main Event Media.) Michael Pearlman (Chopped, Project Runway All Stars) will direct the series.

The show is looking for kids that love the holidays, are filled with holiday spirit and extremely creative to be “Elf-testants” on the new holiday show.

Pharrell Williams, Nickelodeon Collaborate on New 'SpongeBob' Apparel Inspired by 'Goons on the Moon'

New “SpongeBob SquarePants”-themed apparel comes out under Pharrell’s Billionaire Boys Club ICECREAM.


World-renowned musician, producer, fashion designer and self-proclaimed SpongeBob SquarePants enthusiast Pharrell Williams’ streetwear brand Billionaire Boys Club ICECREAM has partnered with Nickelodeon's beloved animated series for a new line of apparel!

The collaboration is inspired by the SpongeBob episode “Goons on the Moon.” The 22nd episode from season 11 saw Sandy take her Science Scout troop on a mission to the moon. Each item in the line is adorned with stills from the episode and graphics of SpongeBob sitting on the moon. The limited-edition collaboration is comprised of t-shirts, storage crates, skate decks and pins.

“Goons on the Moon”, also titled "SpaceBob MerryPants", premiered on Nickelodeon as a holiday special in November 2018.

Pharrell is a massive fan of SpongeBob SquarePants. To celebrate his 41st birthday, the singer threw himself a SpongeBob themed party, which transformed New York City’s Cipriani into Bikini Bottom for a bash starring Nickelodeon’s “pineapple under the sea” resident.

The music extraordinaire previously collaborated on the SpongeBob X ICECREAM fashion line in 2013, and also reunited with N.E.R.D to contribute the song "Squeeze Me" to the soundtrack for Nickelodeon Movies and Paramount Animation's 2015 theatrical The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water.

The SpongeBob apparel joins other recent fashion collaborations from other brands including Nike and Timberland, and a homeware collaboration from Modernica with Chicago-based visual artist Louis De Guzman and global music artist J Balvin.

Catch brand new episodes of The Loud House and The Casagrandes, premiering Saturday, October 26, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. (ET/PT), only on Nickelodeon! Check out the trailers below!


In the brand-new The Loud House episode "Can't Hardly Wait" at 11:00 a.m., Lori takes a job as a waitress at Dad's restaurant, but it turns out that serving is harder than she anticipated! Then later in "A Mutt Above", spurred on by a classmate's mocking about Charles, Lana decides to train him to compete in a local dog show. (#408)

Then, in the brand-new Día de los Muertos-themed episode of The Casagrandes, "Croaked!" at 11:30 a.m., Ronnie Anne and Sid teach Adelaide about the Day of the Dead to help her get over the death of her frog.
