Uma das animações mais queridas da criançada, Bob Esponja, chega ao Nações Shopping a partir do dia 14 de junho. O espaço temático é gratuito e tem como destaque o Siri Cascudo, fast food mais simpático da Fenda do Biquíni, onde os participantes podem se divertir em um circuito de brincadeiras que inclui pintura de desenhos dos personagens, caça às águas vivas, brinquedão no fundo do mar e também a escola de pilotos com jogos do Playstation.
Para quem não conhece, Bob Esponja é uma série animação americana criada por um biólogo marinho e animador e teve seu primeiro episódio exibido em 1999. Este ano, portanto, o desenho completa 20 anos de idade. A produção narra às aventuras de uma esponja marinha e de seus amigos na Fenda do Biquíni. A popularidade da série a tornou uma franquia de mídia, bem como a animação/série de maior audiência Nickelodeon e a propriedade mais distribuída internacionalmente pela MTV Networks.
O espaço do Bob Esponja funciona de segunda a sábado, das 14h às 22h, e domingo e feriados também das 14h às 22h. Isabela Moner Talks 'Dora and the Lost City of Gold' and 'Instant Family' in Interview with The Big Issue
To celebrate the upcoming theatrical release of Dora and the Lost City of Gold and the home entertainment release of Instant Family, The Big Issue recently talked to Isabela Moner, who stars in both movies, about how making the film opened her eyes and playing Dora the Explorer!
When most young actors break into the film industry they’re expected to smile, keep quiet and just be happy that they’re caught up in the glitz and glamour of Hollywood. But not Isabela Moner.
Despite being just 17-years-old, Moner has two million followers on Instagram and her box office receipts already total over £710 million. Transformers: The Last Knight and Sicario: Day Of The Soldado preceded her most recent release, Instant Family, which revolves around Mark Wahlberg and Rose Byrne adopting three troubled young children, the eldest of whom, 15-year-old Lizzy, Moner portrays.
When Instant Family was released in cinemas, it met with critical acclaim from respected publications, such as The Big Issue, that said it was: “a serious-minded, often tear-jerking message movie dressed in oversize clown shoes.”
But in its marketing, it was the comedy elements that were emphasised over its social message.
“It seemed like a completely different movie and honestly, I was a little disappointed in how the put together the previews for the movie,” Moner says.
“It just didn’t capture the heart of it all. It seemed like just another family comedy. It didn’t look as though it took the whole foster adoption care process seriously.”
The film was a passion project of writer/director Sean Anders, whose biggest success so far has been the Daddy’s Home franchise, a more traditional family comedy without the nuance. Instant Family instead was based on his and his wife’s experiences of fostering three young children.
“Sean Anders balanced comedy and drama so well, while still managing to give a realistic experience of what it is like if you ever adopt a child,” Moner says. In order to do here character justice, Moner dove deep into research, and became close friends with a young woman named Maria, who the part is “basically based on.”
“Her mother was a meth-head and she was in foster families for years. You would assume she’s messed up now, right? But she is such a well-rounded young woman, who is educated and smart and funny and doesn’t have trust issues. That really opened my eyes to things in life and showed how wrong we can be about stereotypes.”
The cast and crew decided to cancel the red carpet for Instant Family and donate that money to the Red Cross to help take care of the victims of recent forest fires in Los Angeles.
After Instant Family, Moner decided that her approach to future roles would be determined by the impact and reach they have.
“Having done a movie like this, I have been inspired. On the side I enjoy using my platform to help people, and I hope that’s where movies are heading now. I hope movies can inspire people to do stuff that is greater.”
That includes her title role in the upcoming live-action adaptation of the Nickelodeon's epically popular animated preschool series Dora The Explorer, which is entitled Dora And The Lost City Of Gold, heading for cinemas later this summer.
“It is going to be a big blockbuster, a family adventure comedy, but it is also a crazy game changer in in a big way, too. It is all Latinos in the cast. There is a token white guy, when it is usually reversed.”
Moner compares Dora to Will Ferrell’s lovably naïve character Buddy from Elf. However, Moner says Dora shouldn’t be underestimated. “She has this unbreakable strength that is going to change lives and inspire young people to know that they can do more than what they think.”
Instant Family is out now on Blu-Ray, DVD and available digitally online. Dora And The Lost City Of Gold swings into theatres across the U.S.A. on Friday, August 9, 2019 and in cinemas across the U.K. on Friday 16th August 2019.
The latest issue of The Big Issue is available to purchase from street vendors across the U.K. today, with the money raised from every issue going to a very good and worthy cause. On portraying Dora: “I’ve been called Dora my whole life. It was this ongoing joke between my friends and me that I was Dora—I had the bangs, I’d teach them Spanish. It’s crazy how life works out.”
On her music career: “Acting has always been fun for me, but I still feel like I haven’t found a place where I fit in, and that sounds really sad. But I think it’s because I consider myself more of a musician. That’s where I find true creativity and where I really let myself go. And I get so terrifyingly scared when I play people my music. I write it, I produce it and I sing it. The entire message is by me, and it’s so personal. But I have a lot that I want to say.”
On her rescue dog, Pluto: “He’s got three legs, but he doesn’t let that define him because he’s got a good soul, you know? Pluto is the best thing that’s ever happened to me.”

Octopus and Nickelodeon Italy Collaborate on SpongeBob Capsule Collection
Octopus presents the new capsule collection “IT’S NOT ABOUT WINNING, IT’A ABOUT FUN” to celebrate 20 years of SpongeBob!
Italy - Octopus Brand has announced “It’s not about winning, it’s about fun”, a brand-new capsule collection featuring apparel inspired by Nickelodeon's beloved animated series and character SpongeBob SquarePants, in collaboration with Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) Italia! The collection launched today, Monday 24th June 2019, at 14:30 at the IUTER Store, in Corso di Porta Ticinese 48, Milan and online at octopusbrand.com.
The capsule collection consists of five sweatshirts in different colours, t-shirts and a skateboard and has been created to celebrate the 20th anniversary of SpongeBob, which made its television debut on July 17, 1999 in America.
The collection features apparel available in a variety of different sizes, each costing between €45.00 - €229.00.
Since SpongeBob launched, the show has reigned as the number-one kids’ animated series on TV for the last 17 years, generating a universe of beloved characters, pop culture catchphrases and memes, theatrical releases, consumer products, a Tony award-winning Broadway musical that's set to tour from Fall 2019 and a global fan base. SpongeBob has created a worldwide fan base, boasting over 51 million followers on Facebook, and has graced many catwalks of international fashion weeks. Now the iconic character is set to celebrate his "Best Year Ever"!
Octopus has created this special collection of five items, each unique in its kind, using different processes. Two garments are embellished with Swarovsky crystals, others feature sponge stitch patches with different types of embroidery and dyeing.
The undisputed protagonist of this capsule “It’s not about winning, it’s about fun” is obviously SpongeBob, which is also represented in the special labels of the garments.
This collaboration also marks the return of the typical Octopus “camo” and full zip sweatshirt, already present in another previous special collaboration, that with Madman and Rainbow6.
Leading up to today's debut, the Octopus capsule collection for SpongeBob was available to preview at La Rinascente (Milan Duomo), in the Octopus Brand pop-up store, with a showcase that was set up by designer Lucia Andrea Forni.

It’s SpongeBob’s birthday in “SpongeBob’s Big Birthday Blowout,” an original mixed live-action and animated special which features for the first time the celebrated voice talent behind SpongeBob, Patrick, Mr. Krabs, Sandy, Squidward and Plankton - Tom Kenny, Bill Fagerbakke, Clancy Brown, Carolyn Lawrence, Roger Bumpass and Mr. Lawrence, respectively - playing live-action doppelgänger versions of the animated characters they voice! "SpongeBob’s Big Birthday Blowout" will premiere on Nickelodeon USA on Friday 12th July 2019 at 7:00 p.m. (ET/PT), followed by it's Italian premiere on Nickelodeon Italia on Saturday 13th July 2019 at 14:00. Nickelodeon will also host a special screening of "SpongeBob’s Big Birthday Blowout" at the 49th Giffoni Film Festival on Saturday 20th July 2019.

SpongeBob SquarePants is the most loved and known property in the world of Nickelodeon, the brand for children and families, operated in Italy by Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) Italia, a company led by A.D. Andrea Castellari.
To celebrate the launch of Octopus x SpongeBob collection, Octopus Brand hosted a party dedicated to SpongeBob on Monday 17th June 2019. The event started with a brunch and ended with a live performance by Tauro Boys + a DJ set, as well as an interesting talk held between the creators of Octopus 14 years ago (Giorgio di Salvo and Paolo Budua, aka VNGRD) and those who still carry the brand forward (Stefano Mariani and Alberto Leoni). The Octopus x SpongeBob collection forms part of the "Best Year Ever", Nickelodeon's year-long global celebration commemorating 20 years of SpongeBob SquarePants, one of the most iconic TV series and characters ever created, which includes "SpongeBob’s Big Birthday Blowout," an original mixed live-action and animated special which features for the first time the celebrated voice talent behind SpongeBob, Patrick, Mr. Krabs, Sandy, Squidward and Plankton in the US-English dub of SpongeBob SquarePants playing live-action doppelgänger versions of the animated characters they voice.
It’s SpongeBob’s birthday in “SpongeBob’s Big Birthday Blowout,” an original mixed live-action and animated special which features for the first time the celebrated voice talent behind SpongeBob, Patrick, Mr. Krabs, Sandy, Squidward and Plankton - Tom Kenny, Bill Fagerbakke, Clancy Brown, Carolyn Lawrence, Roger Bumpass and Mr. Lawrence, respectively - playing live-action doppelgänger versions of the animated characters they voice! In the one-hour special, Bikini Bottom is getting ready for a very special day: SpongeBob's birthday! To mark the occasion, Sandy, helped by the inhabitants of the underwater city, decide to organise a surprise birthday party for SpongeBob. In order to keep the birthday boy away from the preparations, Patrick and SpongeBob go on a crazy trip to the surface world, where they come across a few familiar characters during lunchtime rush at The Trusty Slab restaurant.
The special will also feature special guest stars David Hasselhoff (Baywatch, The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie), Kel Mitchell (All That, Kenan & Kel, Good Burger), Jack Griffo (The Thundermans/I Thunderman) and Daniella Perkins (Knight Squad). (#254-#255)
"SpongeBob’s Big Birthday Blowout" will premiere on Nickelodeon USA on Friday 12th July 2019 at 7:00 p.m. (ET/PT), followed by it's Italian premiere on Nickelodeon Italia on Saturday 13th July 2019 at 14:00. Nickelodeon will also host a special screening of "SpongeBob’s Big Birthday Blowout" at the 49th Giffoni Film Festival on Saturday 20th July 2019.
The theme song of "SpongeBob’s Big Birthday Blowout" is sung by Matteo Markus Bok in the Italian dub of the special.
