Part of the "Best Year Ever" 20th anniversary celebrations for the character, the company has joined forces with Viacom Nickelodeon Consumer Products (VNCP) on the limited edition collection, which brings to life the personalities of some of the show’s most loved characters.
The 21-piece collection includes a selection of printed t-shirts, novelty handbags and everyday accessories including makeup bags, phone cases and more. There are 21 key pieces in the collection, including: A SpongeBob Fur Tote Bag, a SpongeBob Shock Case, SpongeBob T-Shirts, SpongeBob Make Up Bags, a SpongeBob Fur Make Up Bag, and a SpongeBob Key Charm. These are joined by the likes of the SpongeBob Phone Ring, SpongeBob Pin, Patrick Tote Bag, Patrick Shock Case, Patrick Make Up Bag, Showgirl Patrick T-shirt, Haters Gon’ Hate Patrick Shock Case, Patrick Cropped Long Sleeve Top, Patrick Key Charm, Patrick Phone Ring, and Patrick Pin. Completing the collection is the Patrick Wash Bag, Gary Shock Case, Meow Gary T-shirt, and Gary Pin.
Featuring the likes of SpongeBob, Patrick, Gary and more, the collection utilises bright colours, glitter and playful prints to create a unique range of clothes and accessories that embodies a “totally unique, like-no-other range of clothes and accessories.”

The collection is available in all Skinnydip bricks & mortar stores, online at skinnydiplondon.com, and in selected Topshop stores from October 2019.

The collaboration is part of the "Best Year Ever", the brand’s 20th anniversary celebrations. SpongeBob SquarePants launched the 17th July 1999, and has reigned as the No. 1 kids’ animated series on TV for the last 17 years, generating a universe of characters, pop culture catchphrases and memes, theatrical releases, consumer products, a Tony award-winning Broadway musical which is currently touring North America and a global fan base.
The “Best Year Ever” launched with the premiere of “SpongeBob’s Big Birthday Blowout,” an original mixed live-action and animated special earlier this summer, and leads up to the Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon Movies theatrical, The SpongeBob Movie: It's a Wonderful Sponge, coming May 2020.
A CG-animated prequel spin-off series, Kamp Koral, following 10-year-old SpongeBob SquarePants during his summer at sleepaway camp, is also slated to premiere during Summer 2020.
The SpongeBob line joins other recent fashion collaborations from other brands including Unimatic, Nike and Timberland, Pharrell Williams' Billionaire Boys Club ICECREAM, Edward Venero's VNRO, and a homeware collaboration from Modernica with Chicago-based visual artist Louis De Guzman and global music artist J Balvin.
