He teased on Instagram, “Will let you know when my episode will air.” In his initial post, the hashtags revealed that he’s finally back for his first audition after taking a break. “My part is small, but I’ve been having an absolute blast on set. Meeting new friends. Playing basketball,” he added. Weaver is joined in the photos by fellow young actors Josie M. Parker, who, on her own Instagram page, snapped some photos of herself filming a Nickelodeon project at the Burbank Studios (the same studio facility where Henry Danger and All That are filmed, as where many iconic TV shows have been filmed, including Saved by the Bell and The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air), and Enzo Rodriguez, who once was a contestant on Nickelodeon's Lip Sync Battle Shorties!
Back in May 31, viewers have noticed that Danny, the son of Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) was aged a bit by the show. However, that meant one of the show’s fan favorites in the kid group, has been replaced, which is sad news not only for fans but for TK Weaver as well.
Weaver took to Twitter to express his disappointment of the show’s decision. The young actor admitted that the sudden change broke his heart. Despite that, he also wanted to tell everyone that he enjoyed every moment he spent on General Hospital He also gave some kind words to the new portrayer of his character and to the costars he worked with during his stay.
He tweeted, “I want to give a shoutout to my amazing @GeneralHospital family.”
“I loved being Danny Morgan for 3 years. I learned so much. I wish I could have grown up more on the show but it didn’t happen unfortunately. Good luck to the new Danny!! I hope you all love him too! Truly,” Weaver added.
Aside from this post, Weaver also explained how the recast went down. He revealed that he was informed about the swap a few weeks before but was asked to keep it confidential until the episode where the new Danny was featured aired.
The show introduced Danny Morgan back in June 2012 where he was played by Gage and Gavin at birth. As a toddler, he was portrayed by Jaxon and Jakob Kring, then by Caden and Corben Rothweiler in 2014, and followed by Braiden and Dylan Kazowski. Weaver was the first solo actor to play the part and he made his first appearance back in May 2016.
