Magic and mischief await in the whimsical world of the brand-new animated series, Rainbow Butterfly Unicorn Kitty (RBUK), premiering on Monday 5th May 2019 at 11:40 MCK on Nickelodeon Russia (Россия)! Following launch, Nick will continue to air all-new episodes of RBUK Sundays at 11:40 MCK. Each all-new episode will encore the same day at 19:45 MCK on Nick Россия.
Rainbow Butterfly Unicorn Kitty is locally titled Радужно-бабочково-единорожная кошка in Russia.
Created and produced by California-based toy and entertainment company Funrise, Rainbow Butterfly Unicorn Kitty follows the comedic adventures of a spirited and adorable kitty named Felicity who possesses special transformative powers.
Rainbow Butterfly Unicorn Kitty centers around a spirited and adorable kitty named Felicity who acquires magical and majestic powers. Part rainbow, part butterfly, part unicorn and 100 percent kitty, Felicity has transformative powers where she can lasso items in the form of a full-fledged rainbow, shoot glow sticks from her paws, fire lasers from her unicorn horn, stretch and snap in rainbow mode, and clap thunderously with her butterfly wings. Together with her best friend Miguel, an energetic dog, she’s ready to take on every challenge that comes with living in the magical mashup world of Mythlandia, which is inhabited by fairy tale creatures, wizards, giants, dragons and more.
In the series premiere of Rainbow Butterfly Unicorn Kitty, “Purrfect Party/Anubis Newbie,” Felicity worries that her powers won't measure up at a party for the most powerful and popular citizens in Mythlandia. Also in the episode, an ancient Anubis king tests Miguel to see if he's ready to leave Mythlandia and become the next ruler of the underworld.
Nickelodeon has acquired the global rights to Rainbow Butterfly Unicorn Kitty. The series made its Nickelodeon debut on Nick USA on Sunday 27th January 2019. Following its U.S. launch, the series will roll out on Nickelodeon’s international channels and branded blocks across 170+ countries and territories later this year.
Rainbow Butterfly Unicorn Kitty season one consists of fifty-two 11 minute episodes and a half hour TV special.
Funrise recently unveiled their upcoming toy line based on Rainbow Butterfly Unicorn Kitty at the 2019 Toy Fair New York. The comprehensive toy line includes innovative role play toys, toys with surprise reveals, collectible bobble head figures, action figures and playsets, plush and more, and will launch at major retailers this fall.
