Nickelodeon's Lynsey O’Callaghan and Chris Rose to Attend Animation Dingle 2019 in Ireland

Senior executives from Nickelodeon, Netflix, Amazon and Disney and are all set to head to Dingle, Ireland this weekend (Saturday 23rd - Sunday 24th March) for the seventh Animation Dingle Festival.


Co-founded by John Rice of Jam Media (Becca's Bunch) and Maurice Galway, CEO of the Dingle International Film Festival, the two-day event will see key decision makers share insights on the animation industry.

The list of companies to attend includes Nickelodeon, Amazon, BBC, Disney, Netflix, Pixar, RTE and Sony Pictures Television Networks.

Keynote speeches will be delivered by Nora Twomey (Oscar Nominated Director, The Breadwinner / Cartoon Saloon) Bob Peterson (Oscar Nominated for Best Original Screenplay, Finding Nemo / Pixar), Kira Lehtomaki (Co-Head of Animation, Walt Disney Animation Studios), Bonnie Arnold (Oscar Nominated & Golden Globe Winning Producer, How to Train Your Dragon) and Richie Baneham (Oscar Winner for Best Visual Effects, Avatar). Nickelodeon's Lynsey O’Callaghan (Director of International Content Acquisitions and Pre-school Current series, Nickelodeon) and Chris Rose, Vice President (VP), Animation Production and Development, Nickelodeon International are also set to speak at the event.

Rice said: “Once again we’re delighted with the quality of the speakers and keynotes at this year’s event. The festival celebrates the work carried out by students in Ireland and internationally and this year we welcome back The Irish Animation Awards to honour the vibrant industry on the island.

“As always, the festival naturally maintains our current gender balance of 1:1 in both guests and speakers. The festival has resonated with students and professionals alike with ticket selling out within 24 hours of release.”

About Lynsey O'Callaghan:


Lynsey Is Director of International Content Acquisitions and Pre-school Current series for Nickelodeon where she has worked for 12 years, since joining from BBC Children’s.

Lynsey sits as Executive in Charge across Nick International Pre-School properties, and has worked on hundreds of episodes for series including: Puffin Rock, The Day Henry Met, Wissper, Lily’s Driftwood Bay, Digby Dragon & Jam’s very own Becca’s Bunch. She’s currently overseeing the new series of Paddington Bear.

Lynsey also handles acquisitions deals for the U.K., and sits on Nickelodeon’s International Programming Council.

Chris Rose:


Chris Rose, VP Animation Production and Development, heads up the internal and external animation development and production teams for Nickelodeon International.

He previously oversaw development and production of long-form television, film and theatre productions for London’s Beano Studios (Dennis and Gnasher: Unleashed). Chris has also served as Children’s Commissioning Editor for ABC Television, Australia, where he developed and executive produced content for the ABC ME and ABC KIDS children’s channels.

He has also previously worked as VP of Programming and Development at HIT Entertainment, and as a Content and Acquisitions manager for CBeebies. His kids TV credits include The Deep, Kazoops, and Little Lunch.
