It’s time to power up your breakfast – again!
After releasing Mighty Morphin Power Rangers cereal based on the show’s Red Ranger in 2018, Funko will be releasing a cereal based on the show’s iconic Green Ranger in 2019!
The newest breakfast item will join Funko’s successful line of Pop! Vinyl themed cereals, which already spans across brands including Rugrats, Looney Tunes and more.
The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers cereal will be green Cheerio’s called FunkO’s, themed after the original Green Ranger portrayed by actor Jason David Frank. The tagline reads “Tasty Treat. Fun to Eat”.
The cereal will be available exclusively at FYE retailers across the U.S., allowing fans to tap into Tommy Oliver’s Dragonzord powers for their early morning breakfast.
Fans who attend Emerald City Comic Con in Seattle, Washington will be able to purchase the cereal even earlier. The show takes place March 14-17, 2019. Head to the Funko booth to get your pack!
Fans who purchase the cereal will get a special Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Green Ranger Pop! Vinyl included in their box.
This will be one of the first third party, licensed Power Rangers products to release under Hasbro’s ownership of the brand, as indicated by the franchise’s new logo taking center stage on the cereal’s box.
Funko has also released t-shirts, toys, keychains, pencils, and more inspired by the long-running Power Rangers franchise.
Fans can catch the Power Rangers Beast Morphers, the latest season of Power Rangers, Saturdays at 8:00 a.m. (ET/PT) on Nickelodeon USA!
