‘Henry Danger’: Jace Norman Says Henry Is His ‘Alter Ego’ — ‘When I Grow, He Grows’

Jace Norman got real about playing the beloved character of Henry Hart in Nickelodeon's hit superhero comedy series Henry Danger for the last five years!

Jace Norman has played the roles of Henry Hart and Kid Danger in Nickelodeon’s Henry Danger since he was fourteen years old. Now, on the brink of turning 19, Jace spoke to HollywoodLife.com about growing up with Henry on the screen! “When I first got on Henry Danger, it was so overwhelming. It was like being thrown into this whole new world and so many pressures came along with being on the show,” Jace explained in the awesome interview. “I feel like Henry the character and I have basically grown up together. When I grow, an aspect of Henry grows. It has been really interesting to grow up on the screen.”

Jace, whose new Nickelodeon Original Movie Bixler High Private Eye premieres on Monday, January 21, 2019 at 7:00pm (ET/PT) on Nickelodeon USA, continued to say that he no longer has to do much to “get into character” when it comes to playing Henry. “Henry has basically been my alter ego, he’s a cooler version of me. When I go on set, I don’t even think about it anymore, I just roll right into it. It’s weird! It freaks me out sometimes,” he laughed. A role he definitely have to think through? Producer! In addition to playing the role of Xander in Bixler High Private Eye, Henry served as an executive producer!

“Taking the producing reigns was very difficult,” Jace revealed. “As an actor you show up on set, everything is all set up the lights, everything. You walk in, you do your thing. I didn’t respect enough how much work goes in to making movies and how much effort people put in to set up the sets, getting people there on time, budgeting, and I learned all of this. It was quite the learning experience.” Starring alongside Ariel Martin (Baby Ariel), Jace plays the role of Xander, who is on a mission to find his missing father.

We interviewed actor Jace Norman who stars on the popular Nickelodeon show “Henry Danger.” He plays Henry Hart and Kid Danger and it is one of our favorite Nick shows.

We met Jace at the London Hotel in Manhattan. He told us that he knew he wanted to be an actor after about the age of 8. The show is one of the longest running comedies on Nickelodeon and it is in its fifth season.

But Jace is not just an actor. He talked to us about his social media platform, Creator Edge Media, which he and his brother have started. They are working on making a new TV pilot.

When we asked him about starring on “Henry Danger,” he said he remembers being nervous and very excited when he got the part. We asked him if he likes his hair and makeup done. He said he does not and he hates gluing on his mask. He also is not that crazy about the hair and suit because the hair is too stiff, and the suit is really tight.

We wondered if fans ever act out scenes with him, he said if fans know scene they will lead him into acting it out. We asked who his best friend off set is. He said he has lots of friends, but his best friend is his dog, Henry, who is named after his TV character. When not acting, Jace enjoys walking his dog, listening to music, and hanging out with his friends.

He is not only an actor but speaks out against bullying. While in school He said it was hard, while in school ... not only in the work part, but in the social part. He wants to help it be easier to make friends for kids. We thought it would be funny to ask Jace if he kisses people on the street like he does with his character on the show. He thought it was funny. He said that he sometimes does but not usually. Jace was a fun person to interview.

Jace’s movie premieres on Nickelodeon, on Jan. 21 at 7 p.m. It is titled “Bixler High Private Eye.” He also produced this movie. It is about a kid who solves mysteries and solves his biggest case when his father disappears.

Here is what we thought of the adventure comedy which we were able to screen in advance with the rest of our classmates earlier this week. In this movie, a private eye named Xander (played by Jace Norman) teams up with Kenzie (Baby Ariel) to find his missing dad. They get tricked and trapped but keep going to complete their mission.
