North America - For two days only this March, Yu-Gi-Oh! The Movie returns to movie theaters across the USA. The digitally remastered version of the 2004 anime box office hit was inspired by the internationally popular Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading card game, manga and TV series.

Presented by Fathom Events and 4K Media Inc., Yu-Gi-Oh! The Movie will have special showings on Sunday, March 11 at 12:55 p.m. and Monday, March 12 at 7:00 p.m. (all local times). In addition to viewing the full-length anime feature, moviegoers will be treated to a sneak peek of the first episode of the sixth Yu-Gi-Oh! anime series, Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS English-dubbed premiere, set to debut on Nicktoons USA later this year.

Chase, Marshall, Rubble, Skye, Rocky and Zuma save Cap'n Turbot and discover a secret pirate treasure map that leads them on an epic adventure. Over land and on the high seas, the pups set out to find the treasure for Mayor Goodway so the celebration can go on. Things get ruff when Mayor Humdinger wants to find the treasure first for Foggy Bottom. The pups need all paws on deck for this pirate adventure, including help from the newest pup who's all ears…Tracker! Using their heroic rescue skills, problem solving and teamwork, the pups set sail to save the day. No job is too big, no pirate pup is too small!

For the first time, MTV, Nickelodeon, Nick Jr., Comedy Central and Paramount Channel will be available for mobile and broadband subscribers on the Movistar Play platform

MIAMI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Viacom has announced it has closed a deal with Telefónica to make a wide range of its TV channels and content available for streaming by subscribers of the Movistar Play platform in Latin America.

Under the terms of the agreement, the first of its kind to be closed by Telefónica for its mobile and broadband subscribers, Movistar Play will carry live feeds of MTV, Nickelodeon, Nick Jr., Comedy Central and Paramount Channel TV channels in the region beginning in the first semester of 2018.

A selection of Viacom’s mobile streaming apps – MTV Play, Nickelodeon Play, Comedy Central Play and Noggin – will also be available to Movistar Play subscribers, together with a broad range of content from the company’s brands that will be accessible on an on-demand basis through the platform.

This extends an existing carriage deal for VIMN’s linear channels and VOD content already available on Telefónica’s pay TV services throughout the region.

Rita Herring, Senior Vice President, Content Distribution, who brokered the deal on behalf of Viacom’s Americas division, commented: “Mobile streaming is growing in popularity across Latin America – to stay in touch with our young audiences we need our brands and content to be everywhere they are. We are very happy to extend our deal with Telefónica and add our channels, our content and our mobile products to their successful mobile TV offer through Movistar Play.

Paula Figueroa, Director of Telefónica’s LatAm Video Unit, added “this new deal with Viacom will allow us to add its content to the selection of live channels available on Movistar Play, particularly Nickelodeon, MTV, Paramount and Comedy Central. As such, Movistar Play continues developing its offer of unmatchable content, which brings the best combination of high quality on-demand content with the best live programming to all screens in the region.

The deal represents a global first for Viacom – the first deal of this kind struck directly with a mobile carrier to carry all its international flagship TV channels, as well as a selection of its mobile streaming apps and its VOD content.

Viacom Launches PSA Campaign Backing #SeeHer Initiative *Updated W/ Nickelodeon's Short*

Viacom on Thursday, February 1 will launch a year-long series of public service announcements (PSAs) supporting the Association of National Advertisers’ #SeeHer initiative, which aims to show a positive portrayal of women in media.


The campaign is presented by sponsors including Johnson & Johnson Consumer and Unilever and will run on Viacom's flagship networks MTV, VH1, Comedy Central, Paramount Network and Nickelodeon plus CMT and TV Land. Spots from the sponsors will air adjacent to the PSAs.

The PSAs look to show young women that they can achieve their career aspirations and dreams and use the theme “if you see her, you can be her.”

The first spot shows a young woman in science class imagining herself someday in the White House helping the president avert a tragedy. A second spot, aimed at younger viewers, will air on Nickelodeon and feature female characters from the network including Phoebe Thunderman from The Thundermans and Nella, the Princess Knight.


The vignettes were produced by Viacom in-house. Future spots will use other genres—including comedy and sports—to spotlight women in leadership positions.

“Viacom has a strong legacy of creating and supporting issue-based content and causes that drive conversation and positive change,” the company said. “We are genuinely excited to continue to bring the power of our brands and the connection to our fans to the #SeeHer movement, a mission to more accurately portray all women and girls in advertising and media by 2020, the 100th anniversary of women winning the right to vote in the U.S.”
