In Nickelodeon's Facebook post, in a response to post by a fan asking for Hey Arnold! season six, Nick said "Have you seen the NEW Hey Arnold movie?! It's not a new season, but close enough for now," and accompanied their post with a wink emoji. Although it doesn't confirm that Nickelodeon are planning a sixth season of Hey Arnold!, Nick wrote a similar post about "The Jungle Movie" in 2015 before the film was officially announced. The "for now" part in Nick's latest post is also very interesting.
Update (4/2): Craig Bartlett, the creator of Hey Arnold!, today gave an update about the possibilities of Hey Arnold! receiving a sixth season six during a Reddit AMA:
"Okay, everyone, when you see a question for "will there be a season 6" refer the asker to this. I want to do a season 6. My crew wants to do a season 6, and the cast wants to do a season 6. Nickelodeon knows this, we have been talking about it for a long time. I've put together a proposal about what would happen in a season 6. Now it is up to Nickelodeon if it will happen or not. I don't control it; Nickelodeon does. If they decide to do a season 6, they will tell me, and as soon as I know I will tell the fans on my social media. Meanwhile, until I know something, I won't say anything about it, because I simply don't know. I don't want to jinx it by speculating, and besides, nothing is real until "the ink dries and that ship has sailed," as Big Bob likes to say."
Hey Arnold!: The Jungle Movie ended with Arnold and his gang starting sixth grade, and, in the lead up to the premiere of "The Jungle Movie", Craig Bartlett, the creator of the iconic Nicktoon, said that he hoped the movie would eventually lead to a sixth season.
Hey Arnold!: The Jungle Movie premiered to critical acclaim in November 2017. The movie saw Arnold finally getting answers to the whereabouts of his missing parents, and featuring a storyline which picked up where the original TV series ended. Co-written and executive produced by the TV series’ original creator Craig Bartlett, the US-English dub of Hey Arnold!: The Jungle Movie features original voice cast members Francesca Marie Smith (The Prince of Egypt) as Helga and Anndi McAfee (Tom and Jerry: The Movie) as Phoebe, alongside dynamic new voice talent Mason Vale Cotton (Mad Men) as Arnold and Benjamin “Lil’ P-Nut” Flores, Jr. (Game Shakers) as Gerald. Lane Toran (original voice of Arnold) and Jamil Walker Smith (original voice of Gerald) are also amongst the returning cast members, lending their voices as Che and Paulo, two members of the boat crew in San Lorenzo. Alfred Molina (Spider-Man 2) stars as resident villain, Lasombra.
